I have been wearing glasses since the third grade and I am extremely near-sighted. One of my biggest fears is losing my sight. Dr. Lim made me feel extremely confident about getting the surgery. She explained the surgery in detail and she offered excellent advice about the right type of cataract lenses for me. The surgery itself was extremely quick and painless. I felt like I was at a Laserium show at a planetarium and not in an operating room. There are a number of follow-up appointments scheduled for the day and week after surgery. Both Dr. Chan and Dr. Zhang were caring, knowledgeable, and friendly at these follow-up appointments. The Walnut Creek office staff is also wonderful, friendly, and efficient. I did have the eye exam after the surgery and a prescription was generated, Dr. Cherry even acknowledged that there was a change from my prior prescription. Per the federal law, any eye doctor must provide the patient with a paper copy of any eye glass prescription after the exam and MAY NOT CHARGE for it. A report has already been filed with the FTC as this is fraud on patients.

They gave me a prescription for glasses, they wouldn't finish my visit because they were trying to overcharge me as well as not use my insurance. I had a 150 allowance to use for my fitting and contacts and my co pay was 15$ but somehow they were trying to charge me 75$ to 143$ for a visit when I wasn't even going to buy contacts from them. I also tried to buy contacts from another place and they denied my prescription. DO NOT go here. It was the worst experience I've ever had at the eye doctor.
