We employed Turf Masters in 2019 to turf our pool area and Joaquin and his crew did a great job. A couple years later we were ready to turf the rest of our backyard and pour concrete pavers. Since Joaquin had done a great job previously, we hired him for this larger job. The job included a much larger turf area and approx 25 three foot by three foot poured concrete pavers. Joaquin and his crew began the standard ground prep for the turf and hired a concrete guy to pour the pavers. When they removed the forms for the concrete pavers we realized they were terrible. The paver surface finish was uneven, rough, and just really bad. Also, the pavers varied in size (by several inches) and were unevenly spaced. We notified Joaquin regarding the issue and he and his crew came to look at the pavers. Upon looking at them, everyone agreed the pavers were unacceptable and should be re-done. After a week or so, Joaquin offered to remove the 3'x3' pavers and replace them with the much smaller Home Depot pre-made pavers. I told him that wouldn't work. We knew the cost to re-do the poured pavers would be expensive so I offered to work with Joaquin on the cost to re-pour them. Joaquin said he would see when his crew was available to remove the bad pavers so we could fix the issue then finish the job. I did not hear back from Joaquin. I tried to contact him after that and he never got back to me. During that project I paid Joaquin 1/2 of the balance. He did l leave the turf roll on my property, but we had to pay another concrete company several thousand dollars to remove the bad pavers then pour good ones. Joaquin is a nice personable guy, but his business practice is poor. To me, a sign of a good business is how they recover from a mistake. Unfortunately Joaquin has much to learn when it comes business etiquette. I don't like posting a bad review, but I know people, like myself, rely on other people's experiences on this site. Not only does it look amazing, the crew was respectful, communicative, and polite. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of work. I wanted a Palm Springs vibe and Joaquin knew exactly what to do. Our backyard was a MESS and just a giant mud pit. He got back to me within the week with a quote, and it was very affordable compared to other companies I reached out to for quotes. Joaquin was professional, on time, and the nicest guy. We had had the worst experience with Turf Masters. We notified Joaquin that he needed to come and inspect the turf less than 4 months of install. We have noticed dipping and seams coming apart once again. It has been over a month, no show. It took them 8 months to come and replace the first turf they installed because the seams came apart. I would definitely never do business with Joaquin and his crew again. After repeated attempts I will take them to small claims. I thought when we decided to go with this company, we made a good decision. We found out after the installation, we made a very bad choice. The sprinklers do not work, they left a yard a complete mess, and now the turf is already starting to degrade and come apart. They sure talk a good game when selling you a product, but it is just lip service. Now we have a yard that we spent a bunch of money on, and it will have to be redone. I hired them to clean my artificial turf. I have two small dogs and my turf was stained and smelly from the dogs using it as a bathroom. It's been a few months so unfortunately I can't recall the name of the technician but he did an amazing job. He spent hours cleaning, disinfecting and brushing my turf until it looked brand new. Contacted Turf Masters to inquire about a repair to my synthetic grass. Marcela responded and said he may be able to help and dispatched Joaquin to come take a look. He came by, we discussed the job, he sent a quote and we scheduled the job for the following week. Turns out he was too busy so we agreed to reschedule but since then both he and Marcela have been unresponsive to multiple attempts to contact them. Oscar Moreno of Turf Masters installed our turf and he and his company did a superb installation. The soil removal, the subsequent gravel and sand mixture and the electric tamping of the sand/gravel combination, the weed control cover and lastly the turf itself were so professionally done compared with other turf installations in our immediate area. It is amazing to see what other companies are doing. We started with Turf Evolutions who had to subcontract Turf Master to put in our turf. You don't want to deal with Turf Evolutions. If they hadn't brought in Turf Masters, we were going to ask for our deposit back. Go to Turf Evolutions on YELP to review what we went through. You can deal directly with Turf Masters. The only drawback is you will not get the same type turf as we got but Turf Masters is nice as long as you get a darker green and not the bright "putting green" turf. read more

Oscar was a nice person to deal with however the concrete and dg (sand/gravel) work was done poorly. cracks began forming and the concrete started falling apart several weeks after installation and the gravel work looks awful and needs to completely redone.
