Man, I love this place. The staff members are always so nice and I come back into the area to visit the spot every single time. The teas are so affordable so flavorful, and the way that they make it just in front of you is just so nice to watch. First off let me ask you do you like tea?? If yes, you should come here. If no, you should come here! We had some people in our group who are not the biggest fans of tea. They absolutely loved their drinks! We got the iced candy apple I believe it is called, an iced rooibos vanilla chai, and iced pumpkin chai. All were delightful. Highly suggest the chai with vanilla cream. All of the staff here are so nice and knowledgeable while also being very patient when we had lots of questions/asked for various recommendations. Stopped in on a cold day before walking downtown Blue Ridge for some shopping. Wow is this tea tasty! I got the Georgia peach tea hot with agave. It was so good that I ordered some loose leaves to take back. The prices are wonderful. Excellent service I was guided to pick the best flavor they thought I would like. When visiting Blue Ridge stop here. It's located in the downtown district so was easy to find. The store has one major counter and the teas are in big containers behind them that are listed. They have handout menus to view which ones you want to order before you get to the counter. They sell a few varieties of local honey and some tea ware items. I really liked the single mugs with their own removable steeper printed with classical renaissance painters like Van Gogh and Klimt. Has a decorated cover to place on top when you are steeping your tea that doubles as a saucer for your cup. They cost $25 bucks and comes in a colorful box ( great gift idea). I had the campfire tea with some almond milk, sweetened with agave per the salepersons recommendations. The tea was so smooth and had a wonderful smokiness to it reminding me of cool summer nights by the firepit. It was so surprisingly good, I went on line and ordered some more teas that they ship to your home. Prices were reasonable between 4-6 dollars each and they offer both hot and cold teas. Customer service was excellent as they fielded every single question from the patrons. The menu was broken up into sections: white, green, black and specialty. I heard about Tupelo Tea from a friend. She saw an IG story from one of her friends going there and told me about it. We both are tea fanatics. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to come with me to check it out but another mutual tea fanatic friend tagged along with me. It's hard to find parking in the city area. There were a lot of one way streets and lots of pedestrians. When I finally found parking, which was a walk but it's okay. I gotta have my tea! Tupelo Tea is a cute tea store. I thought it would be more of a tea house but it's more of a drink store. I'm okay with that. They do have a booklet in the front with all the loose leaf teas they have available. I absolutely love Tupelo Tea. I really wish they had one of these in Atlanta. I crave it so bad at times. Tupelo Tea is located in the downtown area of Blue Ridge. Blue Ridge has a very cute Main Street filled with vendors, shops and restaurants galore. Towards the end of this street you will find Tupelo Tea. I highly recommended that you take a stop here no matter what the season is!! They have a treat for every season and every occasion. The space is beautiful and filled with hundreds of different event teas for you to smell. You cann go around sniffing what teas you are interested in tasting before they brew them in the store. IT is fun to see the different combinations you would have never thought of. This is basically your responsibility your tea ship on steroids and I love it! I think their quality of teas is fantastic and they give great service. The Moroccan Mint is my absolute favorite on ice! It's an entirely different town for my husband and myself but I was relieved to see the purveyors of this establishment were wearing their masks . I ordered my tea and it was delicious. Some kind of peach herbal tea truly delicious. Beautiful interior and tea bar rustic on the outside modern inside well done. One young lady making my tea was going to make a coffee drink for my husband but she didn't have the ingredients for it so she sent him across the street. Tupelo Tea is TEArific! I'm a huge tea fan. Obsessed! Tupelo Tea did it right. It's what Starbucks would be for coffee that Tupelo Tea is for tea lovers! I was drawn by the beautiful and bright exterior of this tea shop when I was looking for my friends that were at the nearby frozen yogurt shop. This brick and mortar is the style I'm obsessed with. It's bright, warm, and inviting inside. They have 100 different types of teas in 8 different categories (black tea, green tea, white tea, wellness tea, oolong, rooibos, etc). They also have a cool tea bar area where you can get any tea iced or hot. It's like Teavana but with more options. The place is set up so you can walk around, check out all the various teas, hang out for a bit while drinking you tea. I really liked the sample they had available. There was only one option for a tasting but it was very good. I also liked how they had the various tea leaves available in these clear little containers that you can see through and open and smell the aromatic tea leaves. It was a nice visual. I finally decided to get the mango black tea iced and add some honey in it. You can get any drink sweetened if you want. It was also cool to see the tea I ordered getting individually steeped right in front of me in these cool looking lab like tea steeping vessels. It was fun to see them mixed each individual tea with the ice and sweetener I selected in the martini copper shaker. It's a nondrinker's moment to feel cool and included at a bar...tea bar. :) I also liked the variety of cool tea cups and tea accessories available for purchase. They also have some bottled honey in various flavors available as well. They had some flavored honeys that would never think could be possible. Very cool to think outside the box. The only suggestion is that I wish there was a person always at the area where you place an order. When I went the first it was not too busy at the tea bar. I stood there waiting a bit before someone came to take my order. When my drink was ready as well as the second time I came back yesterday there were more employees working which made things run smoother and quicker. When I came back in the second time my friend was able to place her order much quicker and the employee was helpful in answering any questions or provided a recommendation based on what we were looking for which was cool. Amazing. I wish that we had one of these closer to me in Atlanta! The ladies working the front counter were so welcoming and answered all of our questions about the tea. COVID protocols were great here (and some of the only ones remaining in Blue Ridge it felt like). It made our visit more comfortable. We just left and I will say, it's a pretty building and festive looking. The inside is clean and we liked everything about the store and set up, but the two ladies working there were not friendly from the time we walked in. Apparently they were close to closing and appeared agitated that they had 6 customers that were going to spend money. This place apparently doesn't need the business because they seemed more concerned with closing the store than serving customers in a kind fashion. I want to start by saying this review is slightly unfair- the two star rating is by no means a reflection of the quality of the tea- which is what Tupelo Tea should be known for. Tupelo Tea received two stars because I obviously chose the wrong place to get a coffee. They offer pour-over cups for $4 and when I was informed of this I was excited. Some of the best cups of coffee I have ever had the pleasure of consuming were pour-over ( Philz in San Francisco being the best). There is no way to beat the deliciousness and freshness of 8oz of joe brewed to order, just for you... unless of course you don't put enough coffee grounds in to the filter. Where do I begin? The location is conveniently located on Main St with plenty of parking along the street or in several nearby lots. The building exudes class and sophistication. Once inside, you realize this is the real deal! We lucked up the first time we visited and got to visit with the owner. She is a fascinating lady from Germany, who really knows her teas. We enjoyed hearing a little bit of her story and trying some of her recommendations. We loved the two teas we tried in the store that day and the two we brought home. Yesterday, I went back for a second time to pick up a few more that I had been thinking about since my first visit. This time, I was greeted by two very friendly younger girls who were eager to recommend a few teas. They had a couple brewing and offered me a sample. I enjoyed trying their recommendations and got a fresh tea brewed to enjoy on the ride home. I love that they carry tea accessories and a huge variety of teas you can take home, but I also love that you can have a cold or hot tea brewed while you shop to enjoy in the present. The quality of their tea is unrivaled in this area. Their packaging is very professional and they do offer online shopping and shipping if you can't make it to Blue Ridge. I plan to utilize this when the holidays roll around and I need some gifts for out of state family.
