Usually after Applebees (yes, I know a cheap franchise), Panchero's or Coriander, I enjoy perusing here. Tunes is chock full of new & older CD's, DVD's and even old vinyls. They also boast funky glasses, books and magnets. I had a mission on this particular night and found everything (and more) that I was looking and hoping for. The people who work here are knowledgeable about music and aren't down your throat. This place is a good time killer while awaiting a movie (at Carmike Cinemas) across the shopping center too. read more

New owners took over Tunes. Unfortunately the good prices and selection of vinyl both suck now.

I'm kind of torn by this business. It gladdens me that small stores are still trying to sell vinyl and CDs, and there is a nostalgia thing going on when you are browsing through alphabetical( though incorrectly) organized racks. Upon first glance it seemed to provide quite a selection of music and movies, many of them at reduced prices. However, as I searched my mind for a few missing pieces of my collection, I was unable to locate any here. Which turned my thoughts to Amazon, and how I could have acquired each and every one without the need to put on a pair of pants. But that's just me. If you are nearby( or near another of their locations) pop in for a few minutes to see what you might find. Tunes has been great since new ownership has taken stead. Selection is huge and the place looks revitalized.

OK I've repressed my feelings for some time, but after my last couple of visits I can no longer hold back my feelings for Tunes. So here it goes... Terrible selection (I've come here looking for pretty common cds and was disappointed that they did not have them.) High prices (Dude, why would I pay $16 for a cd when I can download for free or buy on Amazon?) Shitty employees (No decency to say hello or goodbye or thank me for my business.) Don't go. Of the three Tunes I know the best (though I think the one at the shore has been closed for a while), this one is my favourite. The people who work here have always been super-helpful, they buy used CDs that few other places will, and the selection's pretty great. I'm not even going to venture a guess as to how much money I've spent here since middle school, as that would just be an exercise in masochism. The M'ton Tunes gets some kudos, though. I checked it out last year, and really I like what they've done to it. No signs of the kitties (unless they elsewhere in the store and I totally missed them), though, which is a little sad. If I could--- 4.5 stars Tunes is an amazing place to get cheap, used Cd's-always in perfect condition. I have never even gotten a case from them that was in bad condition. The people in there are always friendly and helpful, and they have good store hours. The only thing is, they are often running out of AC DC, Aerosmith, and The Who-all favorites. Although they really can't help that, maybe they could purchase more new Cd's. The new Cd's there are generally decently priced also. I have devoted my Cd buying money to Tunes alone, and will not buy Cd's from anywhere esle unless they are not available at Tunes. You may have to wait a bit for the Cd you want to come in though-but they do get new shippings almost every day. All in all, great store and definitely worth your time to check out! read more

I've been going here for years. It's in a nice location in Voorhees next to Coffee Works, Panchero's, and Spoon Me. The staff is super friendly. I always strike up a conversation when here with them. Very cool people. They buy and sell new and used CDs and DVDs. I have never sold anything to them, but I hear they don't give you much in exchange. Their merchandise is pretty reasonably priced. I've gotten CDs and DVDs here used and have never had any issue with the quality of anything. They also have a fair size collection of vinyl, if you're into that. They also have miscellaneous quirky items. Old school candy like fun dip, bacon flavored tooth picks, comics, weird recipe and funny books, and random knick-knacks. A cooler with soda in it. It's a pretty cool spot to browse and visit with friends. If you're into music, I would definitely recommend checking it out! read more

While I wouldn't come here looking for something specific. This is a good place to go and search through their piles of CDs and DVDs. You can find a lot of random stuff for cheap. Staff was friendly. 3.5 stars, damn Yelp. This Tunes usually has a good selection of used and new Rock CD's. Its a good way to fill out your collection with older CD's at reasonable prices(Tori Amos, PJam, U2 older albums for 2.99-4.99 used). Their jazz section has undergone some shrinkage since I first visited them. Sigh. But at least they have a semi-decent selection of used jazz CD's. They have a clearance rack with 0.50 and 1.00 CD's. You can satisfy that craving for Jamiroquai or Shania Twain or Vitamin C or any of the other multitude of one hit wonders and has beens. Once in a while you'll find a gem amongst the dross. But you have to do a lot of sifting. Its not quite as good as the Marlton store. Plus they don't have the 5 CD's for 3.00 sale that the Marlton Tunes does. They also have some vinyl, new and used rock and jazz. They also have amusing/kitchy stuff like cartoon covered shot glasses and such. Oh yea and for the DVD/used DVD kids, they have plenty of used DVD's. You can usually get something pretty reasonable there. My only complaints are that the speakers are right over the listening station. Bad store design. The Tunes in Marlton also suffers from it. And that the cashiers/workers like to crank their favorite music of the moment, so that its hard to think sometimes. You guys need to ease up on the dial otherwise you'll be wearing hearing aids in 5 years. You can't always turn it to 11. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Tunes. But then again, I've never had a GREAT experience either. Usually after mulling over CD's for an hour I can find 2-3 that are worth buying. They have an awesome selection of used DVD's at the moment, got a few for under $3. People working there have interesting taste in music... started off with heavy screamo metal, and then switch to Barry Manilows greatest hits? Tunes is perfect for rock music fans but lacks on other variety of music preferences. The prices are to the tune of $13 to a dollar and is what makes this place perfect for patrons. Most cds are used but Tunes keeps up with the new releases. There is a selection of records, dvd's, a large clearance bin and a few rare items here and there. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Since Tunes is in a shopping center with other mom and pop shops it's a good get away from the commercial chains. read more

Tunes is hard for me to rate. I'd like to rate it three and a half stars, but it's closer to three stars than four. If you're going to Tunes with a list of CDs you're looking to buy, you're probably not going to find what you're looking for. At Tunes it's not what you're looking for, but it's what you find. Ive found some incredible finds (mostly compilations in the various artists section). And there are some great deals to be had, you just have to look through everything to find it. Besides never having anything I'm looking for, Tunes is clean, well organized, and the people who work there are pretty nice. They used to have coupons for $1 off every CD, but they stopped advertising. (a lot of Used CD are only $1.99-$5.99) I've found that if you go to tunesonline.net and sign up for their mailing list, they'll give you a $5 coupon. Hey, what can I say, I use coupons. read more

You'll always find something unique here. They have a wide variety of new and used music, vinyl and DVDs. The staff are nice and will help you with whatever you need. One thing to bear in mind, the collection here is constantly changing, so call ahead if you're looking for a particular album. read more

Cool atmosphere with a large Alternative/Rock section. Staff seemed really chill and asked if i needed help, however, i didn't need any. Awesome because of all the used CDs, they have really low prices. They didn't have any of The Bravery, but other than that it was a pretty positive experience, picked up a Weezer CD. read more

The employees were great... I have a problem with the unprofessional Managers at both stores... They are both horrible... I was told by the one Voorhees my stuff was not worth much so they so he would give me like $5-10 for all of it. The one in Marlton told me to leave my stuff there and come back later because they have customers to take care of???? then called me and said that he would pass on all of it... That it was not worth Much. Soooo ( I am in the same business but I sell and trade used books Went to Decluttr online and got $78 for the cds and I am scanning the Dvds now and they are up to $6 bucks and I am not even half way done... I used to go to Tower Records in Cherry Hill, and when I was in the city, I would go to the mecca known as Tower Records South Street. I also frequented Full Circle Records in Blackwood. These were some of the greatest experiences of my life, and my friends and I still talk about the good old days of searching for CD's and albums among the many racks on display. Tunes is the last place we have that doesn't have the "hey, i want it, and i don't want to work for it" feel. I still love flipping through hundreds of CD's to find that one gem that would look great in my collection. We need to support these local CD stores, for if we don't, they will be gone and I will have nowhere to spend glorious hours with my friends on a Saturday night, Sunday afternoon, or anytime I want to kill a couple of quality hours. read more

I usually sell my used DVDs at Marlton location and always get a fair and good price for them. Today was the first time I sold at the Voorhees location and I have to say I think I was ripped off completely by those guys working there. I sold a large amount of newer movies and only got offered $7 for all of them. Needless to say I will be selling at Marlton from now on. read more

I've been a regular customer of Tunes (Vorhees and Marlton) for 15+ years. This is the best brick and mortar spot to find cd's. Although over the last 5 years, with digital downloads being the norm, their selection has gotten smaller and smaller. However, you can order most any cd and they will have it in about a week. Also, you can still find some new and used gems for very cheap. I've bought dozens of scratch free full length cd's over the years for $2.99. read more
