My older son took his 10 year-old brother to get his haircut there two days ago. I just found out that the hairdresser came up to my older son and completely embarrassed him and degraded him in front of everyone saying how she was a single mom and she could not believe that he did not tip her last time she cut my 10-year-old's hair. She then asks him how he was raised and did he never learn how to leave a tip!! So I had paid online when I booked it and therefore he never even thought about leaving a tip. She then proceeded to say to both boys that she guesses she would go ahead and cut it this time but they better leave a tip! Even after she said all of these horrible things to both of my kids, my oldest, being the most polite person ever, still tipped her. Rude staff. Scheduled service for both myself and my son. Lady said 4:30 and emailed me a 4:45 PM confirmation email. When we arrive 4:35 she said both of us are late. I show her the confirmation email and she says we need to wait cos they took a walk in customer. We wait and at 5:00 PM when we suppose to get the hair cut she says that is another customer she need to take and will probably not be able to service us, but we need to wait. We came here to get my boyfriend a beard trim and a haircut before a wedding. Now we know it's a risky move to get a haircut before a big event, but they did such an amazing job. We worked with Ron, who has apparently worked with celebrities and is the manager here, and he was great. He listened to what was requested and did exactly what was wanted. My boyfriend did notice that his beard wasn't symmetrical and that one side was more straight, while the other was curved on the cheek line but it wasn't a huge deal. I love that they have a bar there as well and do complimentary drinks (beer and liquor) and they have arcade games as well so you can keep busy while you wait. I wanted it to be a good experience, I really did. The shop is near my house and I had hopes the more fun aspects of a drink while waiting would be cool. I give it two stars because my stylist was somewhat friendly, however the rest was a 0. No one greeted. I had to ask questions how to sign in (it was my first time in). And the price was double the cost for the same haircut and straight razor trim of the neck - from a real man's barbers shop. One with hot shave cream CS cold goo from a tube. One with all of the right magazines, and a a few televisions with sports and news. One where they greet you even on your first day and talk while they are working on you. I spent today thinking about work - which is one of the reasons I don't know the name of the stylist. Good luck to the patrons paying $99 per month to be VIPs. I have had barracks cut better than this. So I walked in at 11 asked for a medium-low fade with a hard part. She's cutting my hair and says "oh shit".. she cut to much off. As she was cutting behind my ear she drew blood, also saying "oh I may have scratched you". Yeah maybe you did.. But I could of lived with that then she was giving me a hard part and for some reason she had the urge to give me a receding hairline. If I could give it zero stars I would... I showed up early before they opened on a Sunday to get a haircut. Standing outside with two others in front of me, we were told by a stylist "Don't worry, we will get to you guys first." I signed in #3 and asked for David. The first two guys are seated and then another guy walks in and just sits in David's chair for a shave. Thinking, "well, maybe it's just a mix up" I waited 45 minutes and no one said anything to me. About 5-6 people go ahead of me. Finally I asked "can I just take the next available stylist? I don't have all day to wait on a haircut, and I was here before the guy with David." The front desk "manager" said "Well, he pays $120, so he gets to go first.." Assured I will be next, another guy sits in David's chair, and the other stylist who was available called on another guy! At this point I'm outta here. A nice stylist overhead me and helped me out by letting the available stylist know I was next. I tipped the stylist 20% per usual. $30 to wait 55 minutes when I got there early is not how you treat good customers. Even two free drinks (which were never offered while I was waiting)won't bring me back. Where do I begin? I was really looking forward to giving this place a shot. Their location is convenient to my house and their prices seem fair. I walked-in on a Wednesday at 4:45. There were three people cutting hair and there were three other customers waiting for cuts. I was told that I would be Hannah's next client once she finishes her next cut. The other two employees had 5:45s coming in, which is BS if you ask me since I'm the one that's actually there waiting for a haircut. I walked out without a haircut since I didn't want Hannah to cut my hair. While I was waiting, I was able to observe how she was one of the loudest and rudest employees that I've seen in a service industry job; very opinionated about many topics and was very loud and upfront with letting you and those within a 100ft radius know all about it. Besides her lazy and sluggish attitude, customers seemed to come as a lower priority to filling her own drink cup and interacting with other staff. Hannah's unprofessional behavior was certainly demonstrated when another staff member was closing out with a client and Hannah comes up behind the employee to grind on her as if she was having fun at the club. Some of the behavior and loud comments were so bad that I thought I was on a hidden camera show. Unfortunately, it was no show. Business literally walked out the door and I don't think I'll consider giving them another shot. While the free drinks are a standard for a men's salon, this business should focus more on quality haircuts and improved customer service because no free beer will get me to come back inside. read more

Daise was GREAT, truly loved the conversation we had, the haircut she gave me was exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier! After the haircut, the wash was superb, and the HOT towel was a huge add on! I could tell she wasn't trying to rush any part of the process. First time there the haircut took about 2x long as it should to actually cut it. Like I felt each individual hair was getting cut separately but the girl seemed somewhat new so ok. Next time there I knew it would take a bit as it was a Saturday but man it took forever and me and my son finally walked out. Had the people cutting hair leave the stations to give manicures / pedicures so most of the hair cut chairs are empty while people are sitting around. This is not the first review that seemed unhappy with the service but happy with the concept so it's not just me. Customer service was terrible and will destroy the business. Friendly advice get separate people to handle the fingers and toes than the hair and have a tad bit more urgency or sensitivity to the wait times. Good luck! I'm on to a new place. read more

The good thing is that Emma and esmi were the best ones, always on point with my haircut What made me mad was that the other bargirls would mess it up even when I show them a picture and telling them what I want. I was hesitant to come in as I've tried the sport clips etc... I also was hesitant because I have a great barbershop in the "hood". I drove an hour to have the level of barber that I MUST have. All you have to do is ask for a barber as they have both barber and stylist. I got David and being that I was a barber in the military and growing up, I'm picky. I must say the cut was not timed it was on point-straight razor True HOT towel for the straight razor beard trim and haircut skin to stubble to fade. Nailed it! Alisha gave me a pedicure I had to try it out. LOOK if you want a great cut and a few drinks this is the spot. I walked in expecting the worst based on reviews but, I notice most complaints are about line cutting well VIP is exactly that 120 month unlimited cuts , beard trims, massage, and waxing (ears,nose, eyebrows if that's your thing) I have to admit the Barber made the difference all is good here but it means nothing if the cut is off. Also if you go VIP you can cancel anytime but they place your own bottle of liquor on the shelf! read more

Long waits... at times disorganized. I really didn't feel like paying for a VIP membership, since it's more than I pay for my home internet and cable bundle. This meant I was subject to the waiting game and if a VIP came in I could get bumped further back. I didn't like the other options in the area, so I made sure to call ahead and get in early. I use to get my haircut here but I'll never go back after today. I only had two people waiting in front of me when I came in and after 1-1/2 hours waiting I walked out for good. They won't tell you when you check in that they have all these reservations coming in soon. Instead they don't say a word and they just let you sit there for hours. My man is a hairy beast! The ladies at Tune Up did a fantastic job taming his Chewbacca situation. The drinks and atmosphere are an excellent touch.
