Vegan food costs little to make and there's no excuse to price-gouge the customer. Clearly, this vendor is targeting the wealthy CFM customer who knows little to nothing about the cost to make this food, only that they're supporting a 'good cause'. As a working-class individual I cannot afford to buy something so ordinary and undeserving from them. I'll take my business to their cheaper competitors.

Yummmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!…read more This food is so good. I ordered on-line and picked it up at the Durham Farmers Market. The food was all frozen which was great for packing up and taking home to Buffalo. I made the enchiladas the same day and the rest came home with me. The squash and poblano enchiladas were amazing. There're smothered in a creamy cashew based white sauce and stuff with seasoned saucy butternut squash, chopped poblanos, and navy beans. They were excellent and my non-vegan sister who has very high flavor standards thought so as well. The love of my life, who can be picky at times, tasted them as well and thought they were good. When I got back home I tried the pastel de yuca stuffed with black beans and rice. I put it in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 300 degrees and it was perfect. The instructions were for oven or microwave, but I think I made the right choice. It was big and tasty though I did steal some of the slaw that goes with the papusas for a little crunch and brightness. I also got tamales and the aforementioned papusas, but I they're still in the freezer. HIGHLY recommend. You can get it hot at the farmers market but if you want 100 things like I did, order ahead and either get it delivered for $5 or choose a pick-up site.

Not quite my thing but I can tell it's definitely good if you like mortadella. Also had crispy potatoes and a blue cornmeal cookie. All things I would order again and again!! I tried both dinner and brunch over a short weekend stay in the area and both were 10/10. Everything here is homemade and beyond fresh. I had a grits special and it was the best I've ever had. The chicken dinner seems to be the most popular dinner item here, but I broke the mold and went with the pork and it was fantastic. I am not a potato person, but the side potatoes were phenomenal. The back patio makes for a great place to enjoy a meal and linger over a beer or tap natural wine. The inside is a little more hectic and not somewhere I would linger. There is also a little market with some grab and go items and beer/wine. A true neighborhood gem!

What I recommend: Avoid ordering cakes from this location…read more We ordered a sheet cake from the Harris Teeter bakery for a veterans dinner this past weekend to celebrate and honor those who served. Unfortunately, what we received was extremely disappointing. The cake was poorly decorated and looked like very little effort or care went into it. When we brought it up to the baker, she brushed us off and said we could request a refund if we wanted, but that she wouldn't do anything to fix it. The event was only two hours away, and thankfully, the amazing staff at the Whole Foods bakery stepped in and helped us get cakes for 67 people with just an hour's notice. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this Harris Teeter location for cakes, especially if you need something that looks even halfway presentable.

I've always gone with one of the sandwich offerings -- the grilled chicken, the Angus burger, or the chicken pita. Each meal has been excellent, and the delivery always friendly and prompt. I recently went to place another online lunch order from Ghost Kitchen but saw something about their being closed for the summer - bummer, but that's the only negative at all that I can think of.

I was a bit surprise when my total came to $18, as my salad was only $14 but I guess I should have paid attention that my bottle of soda was over $3. How much are the fountain drinks, I wonder? I found us a table inside since it was a bit hot that day (there is also plenty of seating outside AND inside if you go downstairs). The table and floor were messy but someone quickly came to clean it for me. They called our names over the loudspeaker and my best friend went to go get our food. She got the MotherClucker. Our food was REALLY good. If you like Cobb salad, you will definitely like this one. The chicken was pan seared perfectly, the vinaigrette was perfectly tangy and the bleu cheese was especially excellent. My friend's chicken sandwich has SO MUCH chicken salad on it. Impressive. There was so many neat items to see in the place. The murals were great, there were some cute retail spaces, a coffee bar up front, a bar downstairs, and ice cream outside! Unfortunately my bestie and I had too much to talk about so we didn't check it out as much as I otherwise wood. I would definitely try this place again!
