I was here once before and had a daiquiri. I came back for another one since it was really good. The waiter at the bar asked me what type of rum I wanted and I didn't say since I didn't think I hd to be an expert. Anyway, I am sure it didn't have any alcohol in it. I really wanted to love this place. The restaurant is stunning and has great ambience. Service was good. The food is where it went south. Guacamole was okay, not a fan of their salsa. I ordered their beef tacos thinking that would be a safe bet. Wrong. The beef was dry and had very large chunks. I took two bites and could not finish them. My husband ordered the birria tacos and they were decent. Upon leaving though, we both felt gross (that's the only way to describe it). Almost like the food wasn't good quality. Couldn't recommend enough! The atmosphere was moody and very classy; perfect for a date night! The food was great and not overpriced, in my opinion. The birria tacos and fajitas were pretty good! Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Poblano Mac, but that could be personal preference. The Lobster Dip was the best thing we had. My fiancé doesn't usually enjoy lobster, and he loved it. The desserts were definitely the highlight. The Temptation Cake was delicious, and the churros were WONDERFUL. We very much enjoyed the strawberry ice cream, as well. Our server was kind, responsive, and attentive. It didn't take long at all for any of our courses to arrive to the table. 100% will be going back soon. read more

The hostess was very polite and friendly, and our server did multiple check backs to ensure our order was right and we had everything we needed including drink refills. The ambience is upscale Mexican with big booths, and lots of tables for larger groups too. My friend & I eat lunch frequently. This time I told her about Tulum. She was amazed. She couldn't stop raving about it. My husband & I go for dinner so this was a first for both of us. Went here for Valentine's Day and didn't have a reservation and I still got in!!! we ended up dining at the bar, which was beautiful, but the bartender was so overworked. There should've been more than one bartender, but the food was absolutely to die for and the margarita flight and other drinks were absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back!!!! read more

Went to Tulum for about 1:30. Yes, it was past their busy lunch period, however, we were the only customers in the building. We were seated, looked at the menu, decided what to order and no one came to ask what we would like to drink or our order. After about 10 minutes we decided that our business was not important to them. As we were sitting there I notice the bar tender on his phone. No one else seemed to be around and as we left, there were two people at the front desk just chatting. We told them that no one came to take our order, so we were leaving. They did not seem very bothered by this at all. Very disappointed as the food is good! read more

I have tried Tulum several times and the food and service had been inconsistent. On average the food is bland. The service is hit or miss but the drinks are tasty. It very expensive for "Mexican " without the Mexican flair. read more

Went here Christmas Eve with my family and I gotta say, it was not only better than expected, it was THE best food I have had since moving to the Daphne area two years ago. The drinks were great, the service was amazing (our servers name was Conner) and the food itself was 5 star restaurant quality with more than reasonable prices. It costed us less than $100 for individual drinks, three entrees, and an appetizer. Lastly the look and feel of the place was incredible and you can go more formal wear or casual fitting your occasion. Overall, it was an amazing meal. I had the birria tacos. I would have personally liked a little spice on them, but the flavor was very good and the meat very tender. The charro beans are just heavenly, and probably the best thing I ate. The poblano Mac & cheese are just meh, the texture is a little grainy. The queso dip was also very good. This is NOT classic Mexican cuisine. It is fusion of Mexican and Southern cuisine. This is the reason I gave it 3 stars. I think calling it a Mexican restaurant is misleading as evidence by the menu. To begin, there is a dip that is a mayonnaise base with chipotle peppers that is brought to the table to dip chips alongside of a very mild traditional salsa. The chips are unbroken deep fried, rounds that are small corn (street taco size). The menu selections include a pasta dish and a Waygu burger with steak fries. I had the Chile Relleno that came with a side of Mexican rice. It was tasty but VERY heavy (deep fried) and very bland. It was served over the Mexican rice (not a side) that was greasy and bland smothered in a very mild ground beef. It came with a small gravy boat of a very mild queso. I did not use it because I do not care for all that fat. Again, the food was tasty and the atmosphere was nice. Service was adequate. I think anyone who loves Southern fried foods, mayonnaise based sauces and mild Mexican spices, will love this restaurant. If you are a purest looking for traditional Mexican cuisine, this is not the best choice. read more
