Long story short it was not a back flow preventer problem. Thankful for Andrew asking some questions it turned out to be our water softener was the problem. Water softener was old and needed to be replaced. It was expensive to replace but it needed to be done. Dakota put in the water softener, great job. Also had facets replaced and some of the underneath parts replaced in a bathroom. I ordered the facets myself from Lowes. Dakota also did this job. All employees who worked for us for 2 days did an excellent job. I would give them all 5 stars.

A plumber showed up and told me that the slab and tile would have to be busted up and he could not complete the work that day and would schedule the repair the following Thursday. He claimed it was a big repair and would take some time- he told me it was cost $2440.00 When Thursday came- Aspen Plumbing sent 2 different plumbers out to make the repair. They arrived at 9:30 am. They said they needed to go to the plumbing supply to get more material for the job. They were gone 1 hour. They made the repair and left at 12:30 pm. They spent a total of 2 hours making the repair and left. They did a good job and were very courteous; however, my problem is with the labor rate. I was led to think this job would take maybe all day the way the first plumber talked. The material they used did not cost over $50.00. That is a labor rate of over $1000 per hour- that is outrageous to me. In spite of their quick reply and doing a good job- I cannot recommend them with a positive review. I feel this is a unethical business practice and they took advantage of the situation.

I spoke with Catie at Spot On Plumbing yesterday to inquire about availability, and she mentioned they could be available the next day. Fortunately for us, when I called this morning, they still had availability today from 2 pm to 5 pm. I booked the appointment. To my pleasant surprise, George from Spot On Plumbing contacted me to let me know they could be at my house around noon. George and Tyler arrived, diagnosed the leak, provided pricing, and I agreed to have the work performed. We experienced very little disruption during their repair work. They completed the work and performed an inspection of visible plumbing throughout the house, along with the water heater, at no additional charge. There were two additional items I inquired about having replaced, and once again, the pricing was reasonable. We had a fill valve replaced in a commode and a sink drain tube in our half bath.
