I just had a new HVAC unit installed today in conjunction with their Costco deal - as of this evening it is blowing cold air and they didn't put my old thermostat back on - when I called the 24 hr line it was a less than reassuring experience...I got sucked in by the chance to finance the unit instead of having my dependable guy do the same unit but paying in full ....so far I'm not happy &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& I sent emails and texts to all I had spoken to and this am a tech came out and after opening the service panel found a couple things that should have been addressed I assume at install....he stayed to make sure that system was actually blowing warm air which is appreciated....I am changing stars but honestly will be on guard as I am concerned by the plethora of other less than complimentary reviews....it is obvious though I have no problem updating my review read more

Airco Service could not care less about their customers. I once again contacted them and they said they would pass it off to the project manager Jared. Guess who has still not contacted me...Jared. It is June 1, 2026 and I am getting ready to contact them again. I am done being nice and patient. I still do not have a manual for a 7,400.00 furnace and still have not had the city inspector back to make sure it passed. I will also be finding out what recourse I have to get this taken care of. When I have, I am done. I will be telling everyone I know NOT to use Airco Service for anything. I would give zero stars if possible. read more

We are Airco VIP members. They advertise that VIP members receive free service calls and diagnostic. After the diagnostics, you get a discount on the service and parts. We thought this was a great deal, and we have been VIP customers for several years. However, we had a terrible experience today and will cancel our VIP membership and never use Airco again. Today we had a plumber come out and diagnose a problem he could not fix because he did not have the right parts. He told us what the issue was and left. He did not provide any materials or do any work. However, he charged us $150. When asked about diagnostics being free, he said it was for his time. Isn't a diagnostic always about providing time? Isn't that what we pay hundreds of dollars a year in a VIP membership to cover? We escalated the issue to the plumbing manager, because surely, she would understand, right? But she literally told me that she has to pay her employees for their time, so we have to pay too. To top it off, his diagnosis of the issue was wrong. We had to have a separate plumber come out to actually do a correct diagnosis and fix the issue. BEWARE of Airco and the VIP scam! read more

I pay for their annual HVAC checkup which is reasonable priced (maybe), but trying to get them to keep an appointment is frustrating. They will make an appointment a month in advance and then the morning of the appointment they will call and say they need to move it. Typically their appointments are morning (8-noon) or afternoon (1-6pm), but the rescheduled appointment becomes "sometime the next day...between 8 and 6". Try to plan your day around that after you have already planned for their scheduled visit!! In addition they cancelled an HVAC appointment when I made an appointment for service on my generator -- these are two different unrelated items handled by two unrelated groups. Being a long-time customer (over 30 years) doesn't matter to them. It's NOT the same company it was before they began buying up other local HVAC (such as Robinson Air and Air Assurance) and plumbing companies (e.g., Mullins, Duvall) under their "HomeTown Services" umbrella. I am seriously considering moving on to someone else. UPDATE: AIRCO contacted me after seeing this review and rescheduled the HVAC appointment back to this afternoon and showed up within about 30 minutes of that phone call. They offered me some other incentives as an apology for their actions. read more

The guy that I would ordinarily call for AC work, wasn't available, at first, but when you AC is on the fritz, most of us want it fix, as soon as we can get it done. The Airco name was given to me by someone who knew the grandpa, the one who started the company, and talked about how great of a guy he was, and basically suggested the toys, were chips off the old block. So, I called them and they sent a guy out, the next day. He looked it all over, and listed several things that needed attention, even replacing. Total estimate $2,043.07 Higher than I was hoping for, but thought, that's better than buying a new AC Unit. I sent a copy of the invoice to the guy I ordinarily call, and he told me it was way out of line. I replied; "Well, I'd rather pay you (him), anyway." He said; "I'll be at the office on Monday, just two days ago, around 2pm. The bottom-line, if everything the guy from Airco said I needed, was true, my total bill with the guy I ordinarily call, would have been $300...substantially less, than 2,043.07. And by the way, Airco, is NO LONGER FAMILY OWNED, regardless of what you may find to the contrary, online. Look for a subsidiary of "Blackrock", and you'll discover Airco, isn't the on HVAC outfit that they've bought, in this part of the country...for sure, Oklahoma and Arkansas. read more

Happy AirCo customer over 15 years until now. We declined Decon 7 treatment in writing but technician added it ($278) when we signed off on a repair. I called AirCo after the technician left to ask about the miscommunication regarding spraying the Decon 7. Their response was my husband signed off on it even though they acknowledged the email declining the spray. i was told someone would get back to me. That never happened. No apology or offer to reverse the unwanted charge. Apparently AirCo doesn't value our long term business. We will not be using them again. Marilyn H read more

I paid $500 to Airco and got nothing but a sales pitch for a $14k system. My house stayed at 75°F after their "service." Air Assurance gave me a better quote at $9k, which shows just how inflated Airco's pricing is. They care more about upselling than helping their customers. I would never recommend them. read more

The absolute worst customer experience I have had with any company so far, but it's not over so it could keep going down from here! Here are some (and only some) aspects of our saga: -They sold us a VIP membership, which meant routine inspections and no charge for site visits. Except that our air conditioning system completely stopped working a few weeks after their yearly visit, and some other Airco folks indicated that there were numerous structural flaws that they didn't catch. And they charged us for site visits twice. -Their sales tactics are shady. We have not had functional air conditioning for nearly 3 weeks. Airco tells us the problem is a drainage pipe and wants to charge us $1300 to replace it. Then they try to upsell us on a bunch of other crap WHILE OUR AUR CONDITIONING IS OUT. -Their service is super slow. They just told us that they can't make it to our house to fix the pipe untill the end of the month, which will put us on 6 weeks without air conditioning. Which is not that big a deal except that it's JULY IN OKLAHOMA. -They don't take responsibility for their own shoddy work. One of our reps blamed the company (which apparently Airco merged with) for poor installation of our system 8 years ago. We have received visits or interacted with 6 different employees from Airco this year; each group has told us something different and something inconsistent with each other. The bottom line: they overcharge, the are slow as hell, they don't shoot straight, they cannot be trusted. I look forward to learning the new excuses that Airco employees will make during the next 3 weeks before they get around to trying to fix our system. On the bright side, I look forward to seeing our old friends (or perhaps meeting new ones!) next summer when our air conditioning doesn't work. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Parts department customer service is non existent. Need a control board for heater (per tech from an emergency call on Sunday) was told i would get a phone call Monday morning to get part and schedule services.... NOTHING, I had to call Airco 5 different times to get information, and each time was told they would have to contact the parts department and call me back. By now I believe the parts department is out of the country working remote and has no idea what they are doing.............Terrible, no heat and temps are to drop in to the 20's in the next 24 hours. Extremely over priced 30 minutes for a fuse and a contact parts= 160 and charged me 500 so out of line

Recent temperatures have already reached 100 degrees, and it seemed that our upstairs air conditioner was operating nonstop!!! Temperatures were as high as 86 degrees which made conditions particularly difficult especially when trying to sleep. I change the air filter every 3 months and I clean the outside unit annually as well. After about a week of feeling sauna like conditions I called AIRCO. Nhiayee and Page arrived earlier than expected which was awesome because I was given a late afternoon appointment. I greeted them and explained the situation and helped them locate the electrical outlet and the water supply. From there, Nhiayee assessed the problem and explained that the Freon was low indicated by the dry, refrigeration line. After giving the outside unit a cleaning and flushing and filling the unit with Freon which was necessary due to the advanced age of the system. Page and Nhiayee advised that it would take several hours to get the temperature back to an acceptable level and that we should be comfortable going forward. I thanked them both and they were on their way to satisfy more customers. Thanks again for everything and we are appreciative of the quality of service and the kind and personable employees who work for Airco. Continued success to you exponentially. read more

"Your Airco technician will be at your house between 1pm - 5pm. Here he comes at 4:45. After a 3 minute review of my a/c, the Airco technician said I have a "major leak somewhere" and my type of Freon is obsolete and I need a whole new unit. One call to Urgent Air and Steve found where something wasn't secured causing the problem and he had the "obsolete refrigerant." No major leak. Within 15 minutes it was fixed. What a terrible experience with Airco. Shame on you for making me worry like that. read more

Technicians OK; Pricing outrageous. I asked for 2 toilets to be looked at. Downstairs needed unclogging. Upstairs needed toilet seat tightened and handle tightened-$99.00. That night the upstairs toilet tank would not refill. So, we called after the weekend. They returned; said they woukd charge us again; final bill $250+. Never use Airco! I used them for heating & a/c and they overcharged for that, too. I will NEVER use Airco again! (Oh, we were told at least $1000.00 to install a new toiket.) read more

My air conditioning was working fine and I called for a maintenance check to prevent any issues in the coming Hot Summer this July. A technician came and checked everything and I was with him the whole time. I'd ask about how the freon level was and the reply was fine. He found a capacitor with a weak spring but still working. He priced it out at $216 for $40 part I can get and have. I said that was outrageous and that I would change it out myself. Later the same day, my home began to get warmer inside than normal. Waited to call so I could figure out if it was a one-time event. As the week got Hotter, the indoor temperature rose higher each time. I called and explained the situation and they sent out a different technician. He proceeded to explain how the freon needed is no longer available and that I would need a replacement unit. Funny how that happened...I would not recommend them to anyone and if someone asks I would tell them to watch out for sabotage of your unit knowing how old it is to buy a replacement. read more

Shop around before you do business with this company, I had a brand new unit installed on April 28th and was charged $18k. The technicians left a hole in my ceiling after replacing a vent and I had to call to have them come back to patch it up and the unit hasn't worked properly since it was installed. I've had 3 technicians come out 6 or 7 different times all giving me different diagnostics-saying the unit is leaking refrigerant and they don't yet carry it because it's too new, then blaming my the heat from my attic crawl space for making the house hot, to blaming it on whoever installed it. Zac, the tech who was here last said I had every right to be upset and to call and complain. I've called and tried to speak with someone about my experience and no one has called me back. This has been a headache and if I had to do it all over again I would have taken my business elsewhere and probably saved a couple $$$$. I would not recommend this company. read more

Called a month ago for a tune up/system check. Airco came out a few days later and went through the inside system and outside unit. I noticed the tech did not remove the condensor/core cover. I paid the $99. fee. --- 30 hours later I noticed my garage and living room were flooded with water. I called Airco- they said they might get someone there in 3 days. I called a local plumber company (Climatech) in Grove; they came immediately; found the problem was the condensor/core unit elbow was plugged and water was leaking through the wall as an overflow. They repaired/replaced the elbow flow, cleaned and vaccumed up all the water and I paid them $142. I gave Airco (who - I called again to tell them what was found - ) a copy of the bill to pay me back for not finding this possible problem when they first came. --- They would not cover the bill from Climatech and only offered to sell me a $100+ attachment to my ac unit in case it floods again and would shut off everything! And offered two free tune up visits for the next year but would not cover any emergency problems. I have yet to hear from them since I refused those silly offers... . We had Airco at our house on Friday to put in a HVAC, the cost was nearly ten thousand dollars. They did such a great job, that we decided to see if they would give us an estimate on a toilet upstairs that is leaking a small amount of water down to our kitchen area. We called this morning, but were really surprised and taken aback when we were told, to give us an estimate that they would charge us $99 !!! One would think after spending nearly ten thousand and wanting to be a repeat customer, that they would waive the plumbing estimate fee considering how much we have already spent! I have only given them a 1 star, due to the plumbing estimate fee, but the HVAC work was a 5 star ! read more

Airco installed a new unit and used old copper lines that did not hold refrigerant in the last unit. Afert spending 20,000.00 I thought everything was supposed to be new. They said after only a year there service warranty ware out. But there parts warranty is still good but, we would have to pay for if up to 1,400.00 for them to fix the part because they did not install the old copper line, that they welder on, instead of putting a new on from the start. These people are committing fraud. And the people who said good things about them will change there mind when they start having problems. These people purposely do not put all new parts in because when the bad parts go out there will charge you $165.00 for labor or more and for what ever yhe part cost that they should of put in the first place. They won't ever give us a copy of are contract. So we are hiring a lawyer, for their fraud. read more

Was not impressed with this furnace checkup. Fan made noise when first turned on. Technician thought maybe tape from filters he removed fell into fan cage. Searched but found nothing. Next time blower fan was started it made no noise. Much less time was spent cleaning and checking furnace than was spent by previous AirCo technicians. Would like to have different technician in the future. read more

I had called AirCo to my house for a service call earlier this month. The employee, Seth told me that I would need to purchase a brand new furnace. If I only fixed the one part. It could make things worse and start a fire. He gave me two options. Option 1- "Buy a new Integrated Furnace Control Module ($600+) possibly not fix the issue at all and waste money)" was their exact words. Also, He said we needed a new Blower Motor ($1300+) when there was nothing wrong with the air flow in our house. Option 2- Get a new furnace for $3500 plus! It really saddens me that the biggest Heating and Air company sends their best employees out just to rob people who can't afford new systems. It's despicable that companies like this feed on low income households, even people who live off of welfare and People with children, etc. I will never use AirCos services! We ended up going to a supply store. Buying the part for $450 cheaper than what Air Co tried to charge us! Had a professional put it in and everything. Thanks for nothing AirCo. read more

If I could give a negative number of stars I would. Briefly, they did not stand by their work and their work was faulty. To add insult to injury, we were double billed for the same work. They completed an AC repair (5K) and it sort of cooled for two days and then completely failed. Called them out again and they tried to figure out why their replacement did not work. We are then given a bill for the time that they took to figure out why their repair did not work??? Still no working air conditioner. Just another bill for their inspection and an additional estimate that exceeded the first ???? Called and spoke to service manager, he agreed we did not have to pay second bill for inspection because it was for the same work that they were supposed to have done correctly the first time. 5 months later get an email and we are asked to PAY THE BILL that THAT THEY AGREED SHOULD NOT BE BILLED. They were relentless. Do NOT recommend this company. We had used them for 23 years - and this was not the same workmanship we received in the past, and now they do not stand by their work or their word anymore. ***By the way, we got quotes from other very reputable companies in Tulsa for close to half of what Airco was estimating. read more

Very frustrated with Airco. Had my husband call to have our hot water tank flushed. Thought it would be a simple item. No intake or questions as to the situation or age of the tank from Airco when he called. Technician shows up and it turns into a conversation of "well, we can do this but it might fail and that will cost you thousands, we recommend you replace and move your hot water tank". I honestly wonder if these guys work on commission or have to meet sales goals. They charged us $100.00 dollars to tell us this. All for a maintenance situation in which there were no problems or symptoms of any issues. We paid them their $100.00 with no service as all they did was tell us worst case scenario. It seemed like a total upsell job on us which is disappointing as we have literally spent thousands with them over the last 6 months for HVAC items. read more

Absolutely shocked to see *any* bad reviews of Airco on here after my experience, honestly. My HVAC blower motor went out, and I called three companies for quotes- including Airco's Tulsa location. Price-wise, all of the quotes ended up being roughly the same. Higher than I'd hoped, because my system is a dinosaur, but a 30-year-old model's replacement part being expensive is far from a surprise. Immediately, Cheyenne from Airco stood out among the others that I talked to on the phone- offering crucial, relevant and helpful information that I didn't know to ask for, vs. everyone else simply answering my questions with an abrupt yes or no. She briefly mentioned the membership, and I told myself *right then* that if they impressed me during the consultation, I was going to consider the membership. They sent Kristian and Paige out to my house the same day to take a look, and they immediately confirmed what the issue was. Because of my ancient 1995 model, Kristian recommended full replacement, but he was very thorough in laying ALL the cards out on the table so that I could make a *truly* informed decision. He didn't pressure me or put on a salesman hat. He educated me of the pros and cons of both routes, and for maybe the first time in my life, I was able to make a homeowner decision that I knew in my heart of hearts was the right call. He and Paige did the work quickly, kept me informed along the way, and when they were done he showed me ample evidence that the HVAC was working as intended. I want to note that they even made sure to check in with my comfort level throughout the process for anything that some homeowners might consider a little invasive (borrowing my ladder, using my sink).... this may seem like a really small and simple thing, but that's actually kinda my point. This small gesture impressed me further because it isn't something many people would think twice about, and it showed me that they were thoughtful, down to the minute details. I personally wouldn't have minded if a contractor simply stepped up to my sink and washed their hands, permission or not- but the awareness and empathy that they displayed in small gestures like that showed me that they cared how their work and their presence were affecting me. It's worth mentioning that I had an extremely traumatic experience with a scam artist/home contractor in the past (f#%* Angi's List... seriously), that has left me with intense anxiety and fear around hiring anyone to come into my home. I let a lot of things around my house deteriorate and age for a while because I was incredibly afraid to call someone and be burned again. Airco/Kristian did not know about this trauma at all, but nonetheless quickly proved to me that I made the right call choosing them. The ONLY criticism I could offer is that the 30-minute-prior courtesy call is a very tough structure for a busy professional to plan their work day around. I understand why they do it that way, I really do- sometimes jobs take longer or shorter, and they can't estimate arrival times down to the minute. I get it. A contractor's job is, by nature, flexible and unpredictable. But having to try to plan out my day's meetings when I might get a call any minute and will have to promptly leave, put me in a very tough position. I'm not petitioning for a "1:00pm on the dot" kind of structure, but setting an expectation that is a little less vague than "sometime after lunch" would be greatly helpful. Still, it's hard to describe the relief and peace that I have now, knowing that I have the membership and that almost all potential home repairs in the future will be handled by someone I trust. If I never have to search for and vet another repair specialist again, it'll be too soon- so I'm really glad to have Airco in my corner now. read more

So I'll be upfront first that this company is not the cheapest, in fact they were a bit more expensive. They use in house electricians and plumbers which is a good thing as a customer because there is a lot less risk of finger pointing and resolutions IF any problems arise. We have an old farm house that we needed an entirely new HVAC system. I got three other quote from companies that wanted to put a massive gas heat pump with air handler outside and run an insulated square duct up my exterior wall into my attic. I felt like their prices were a bit too high and these were for I believe a 15 seer or something like that. I called Airco after seeing one of their vans and the tech that came out was extremely thorough. He gave me four total pricing options but he said they wouldn't even consider putting an entire system outside. The lowest cost option quoted was about $2k more than my other quotes and $10k less than the most expensive option. Well, I ended up going with the most expensive option because of overall energy savings. And likely it will take a LONG time to pay off. However, this option also came with 12 years of parts and labor warranty. My furnace is 99% efficient and my AC is a whopping 28 seer. Now for the crew. The crew showed up the following Monday. EXTREMELY professional and clean. They removed my archaic furnace and air handler, they took all my floor registers and sealed them up to eliminate draft, and worked quickly to get the job done in a week. All work done was an entire reduct in my attic, new furnace in the attic, new AC outside, put a T in my natural gas line and ran a new gas line into my attic for my furnace, ran electrical from my breaker panel to my ac and to my furnace, and ran a line set from ac to furnace. All new ceiling registers throughout the house. Nick, Travis, and Tim were great, called me with me with a couple problems they encountered but offered smart solutions. Overall I'd recommend them for a quality product and service. I Cant dock them a star for price because are using top of the line products and parts. read more

Use another company. Airco is not available 24/7 and they could care less if they cause water damage in your home. They send some guy with a laptop to look at the problem and then schedule at THEIR convenience. This is the second time I have dealt with their non-existent customer service. This will be the LAST time we ever call them again. You can't speak to a manager or supervisor and the appraisers that come out and give you a price have more control than they should. We had a hot water tank issue and expected service at the time they came out. We had to take the door off of the closet for them to even come out. We had to turn the water off to the house and had no water for over 24 hours. We had a 50 gallon tank and they said their 50 gallon wouldn't fit so they put in a 40 gallon for the same price. When they took the tank out of the closet it drained into our 2 bedrooms! They offered nothing for all that water damage!! Go to a different company. Never use Airco Service for anything!! read more

I have removed my negative review. Airco refunded me for the entire year, $175.00 and they called me and apologized and claimed responsibility for their error. What they did was take ownership of a mistake and I have great respect for them for doing so. Aside from this billing issue which took 10 months to resolve, I have nothing but great things to say about the 3 years of service they provided for my heating and air units each year at my home in Owasso. However the sales man was not honest at all, he lied on how long the install took, didn't tell me they needed in all my rooms, had my daughter that was 2 weeks postpartum help move a sectional. After reading the positive reviews, I was hopeful that hiring Airco to repair my Navien instant hot water heater was a good decision. I was very wrong. They were very prompt in assigning the job to a technician - I agreed to the $100 service charge so they could send someone to diagnose the problem. My water heater was leaking through the condensation pipe and running up my water bill. The technician who arrived was very polite, but also was not familiar with the Navien unit, and unable to diagnose the problem. I was still charged the $100. I called Airco and talked to the Service Manager, who fed me a line that 'these systems are designed by Engineers, not plumbers', and 'the best bet is to replace the entire unit', and 'they probably will not honor the warranty because there is no record of annual maintenance'. This is the kind of fear, uncertainty, and derision (FUD) that I would expect from crooked plumbers. In any case, I hired a different company who's technician was very polite and professional, knew exactly what to look for, worked with Navien to get the part replaced under warranty, and gave the entire system a tuneup. They communicated clearly, gave me up-front pricing for the repair, and did a quick and professional job at fixing the problem. Sorry, Airco - that is the kind of service I expected out of you. Keep the $100. It will be a reminder next time I need plumbing service, NOT TO CONTACT YOU. read more
