OMG!!! The food here is incredible!!! I tried this place…read moreon vacation and wasn't sure it was going to be authentic, but it was and it was amazing! They have the best tom kha soup I have ever had. It is perfectly balanced with amazing quality of ingredients.

Who would have thought that Ireland would have fast and delicious Thai food so readily available??…read moreCertainly not me! But it DOES exist! The food here was delicious (and spicy!). They have a menu that is posted on the left side of the restaurant when you walk in. The menu has a scale of spiciness based upon the number of chili peppers next to the dish. The more chili peppers, the spicier the dish. I ordered a dish with only one chili pepper next to the name and it was pretty spicy! Despite eating in the restaurant, the food was packaged to go. I think they do this for all the orders. They restaurant offers plastic plates and utensils so that you can eat in if you'd like or take the food as carry out. I ordered my food at the counter, and then waited for them to call my dish. I can't remember what we ordered, but stay away from the fried rice. They charge an extra euro for fried rice but it really did not taste like anything. Its better to just stick with white rice. Also, as an FYI, their noodle dish was really oily--but tasted delicious! The food was prepared quickly, and was steaming hot from the kitchen. If I lived in this area, it would be my go to place for meals.

Our first dinner in Ireland was Thai food. We were here for eight days and knew we'd have a lot of…read morepub food, so that's why we went Thai. Sanuk Thai was a short walk from our hotel. You order at the counter and they bring your food over to your table. It looked to me like they can seat 40 people or so. The interior is a pleasant mix of brick and paneling with some very cool artwork on the walls, like an image of someone walking holding a giant pole on their shoulders with a big basket on each side. I also saw a big mural of a guy with a toothy grin smiling at the dining room. The menu is pretty big and pretty reasonable -eleven appetizers at no more than six and a half Euros, if you don't count the Selection Box for Two (€12). They also offer three soups, three salads, five curries, seven noodle dishes, seven stir fries, five fried rice dishes, four House Specialties, ten sides, and even a children's menu of four things like peanut noodles and sweet and sour chicken. You can also buy their dipping sauces by the bottle. We started off by splitting an appetizer of Phukett Tiger Prawns (€6.50 for 4 pieces) which we really enjoyed. It was a shrimp stuffed with diced chicken and ginger, wrapped in a pastry and served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. Simple and delicious! Our entrees were 1) Pad Thai served with chicken and shrimp instead of the usual one or the other. It ran (€12) and was delicious, and 2) Pad King Beef (also €12). The Pad King was a delicious stir fry of ginger, mushrooms, bok choy, scallions, and of course plenty of tender beef slices served with a bowl of rice. It was wonderful. Our food for two cost just €30.50, or about $37 -not bad for a big city dinner.

I have mostly kept only Thai dishes. Oh, spicy chicken wings were fantastic - goes well with beer or white wine.
