Been going here for 5 years at the request of my mom. My mom quit going here because they made…read moremistakes on her husbands bottom teeth and refused to correct their mistakes. I quit going here because I had a crown that was damaged but not causing me any problems but I wanted it replaced before it started giving me problems. To make a long story short, the Hispanic female dentist who was in charge of the new crown didn't do her job. The crown did not fit and the sensitivity to cold is getting worse, meaning there are gaps in the tooth stub and the crown fitting. She got it wrong. Various follow-ups to correct the situation did not help. The last time I was in for a tooth cleaning, the male dentist put temporary numbing gel on the tooth and never offered anything else to rectify the issue. My next steps are to file a complaint with the state dental regulators and find another dentist and spend another 1k to get the job done correctly. Avoid these people at all costs.

I thought they were doing the cleaning before taking care of my filling. Instead, they said "oh, we need to do an assessment first, and then you have to come back to get the filling". I don't understand why this dentist office is not able to assess and fill at the same appointment. When I addressed this issue with the office manager, she says it is their normal procedure to tell a new patient over the phone that you will first need to come in for the assessment and then you will have to make another appointment for any work that needs to be done. They did not tell me that over the phone and if they had, I would have moved on to the next dental office. Interesting how she said she would need to go back and listen to the tapes to find out if they told me what they normally tell people. I told her to go back and listen to the tapes - I don't believe they have tapes. This place is a scam. If I could give a minus 4 stars, I would. As a side note, the paperwork they want you to sign before seeing the dentist has a page that you have to initial each statement. One of those basically says that if, in the middle of treatment, the dentist decides you need more work done, you are authorizing him/her to do any and all treatment. THAT IS A HUGE RED FLAG, which I actually addressed with the front office before my appointment. They seemed surprised that I would object to that. Does anyone read the paperwork they're signing? Wow.

I would have to go to other dentists to try and fix the problems over the years, and never once did I truly feel comfortable or anything above a nuisance when going into an office. I cannot stress enough how my anxiety peaks to the point of having to call the same day to reschedule, and how I used to cringe at even the thought of going to my dental appointments, even for a more minor fix, such as tooth infections to get antibiotics. Last year, I finally discovered the Granbury Dental Center, and I will never be able to truly express my appreciation, admiration, or love to the amazing people that work there. From the very first appointment, they listened to my fears and concerns, no matter how small or silly I felt they were, and they truly made me feel heard and understood. They made me feel loved, almost to the point of family. Ms. Sommer and Dr. Buske would talk to me after-hours in some instances, and even reached out to me on the weekends. They cried with me on parts of my journey, laughed with me, and will always hold a very special place in my heart. Thank you ALL at Granbury Dental Center, from the very bottom of my heart. I hope that this reaches at least one person who might be struggling to find somewhere to change their life if they have teeth issues or anxiety problems. My second visit at Fall Creek Dental with Dr. McFadden was such a welcome surprise. Always before, at other dentists, although they use the numbing gel first, the numbing shot still stings at least. However, when Dr. McFadden numbed my gums, I did not even feel the needle, let alone the shot. I was amazed. She pulled my tooth and I never felt any pain afterwards. I am terrified of dentists, having had a couple from Little Shop of Horrors wreak havoc in my mouth a few decades ago, I avoid them like the plague. I finally was in enough pain that I decided it was equal to the pain a dentist could inflict so I may as well get the problem cut out. Dr Amy came up with a game plan to save my teeth, and I had my first double root canal and crowns. Here is where it gets interesting: No pain. Zip, zilch, zero, nada. And my crowns fit PERFECTLY! We also ran into a series of unfortunate events, mixups, inaccuracies, and fiascos with our insurance, but the staff (Bacardi, the insurance whisperer, is amazing!) did a great job fixing the snafus.
