Also, my teeth cleaning in this office has been the best I have ever had. Their Hygienists are amazing. Also, their office staff are very professional and helpful. The staff were friendly and even got me an earlier appointment than I had originally scheduled. Dr. Jo was upfront on everything that was planned and why. I specifically made an appointment because I have a front tooth filling that chipped and now my…read morefront tooth is jagged. Instead of doing anything about that, they chose to do a cleaning. I thought they were doing the cleaning before taking care of my filling. Instead, they said "oh, we need to do an assessment first, and then you have to come back to get the filling". I don't understand why this dentist office is not able to assess and fill at the same appointment. When I addressed this issue with the office manager, she says it is their normal procedure to tell a new patient over the phone that you will first need to come in for the assessment and then you will have to make another appointment for any work that needs to be done. They did not tell me that over the phone and if they had, I would have moved on to the next dental office. Interesting how she said she would need to go back and listen to the tapes to find out if they told me what they normally tell people. I told her to go back and listen to the tapes - I don't believe they have tapes. This place is a scam. If I could give a minus 4 stars, I would. As a side note, the paperwork they want you to sign before seeing the dentist has a page that you have to initial each statement. One of those basically says that if, in the middle of treatment, the dentist decides you need more work done, you are authorizing him/her to do any and all treatment. THAT IS A HUGE RED FLAG, which I actually addressed with the front office before my appointment. They seemed surprised that I would object to that. Does anyone read the paperwork they're signing? Wow.

My mother (age 76) saw this dentist and was told she needed major dental work replacing old crowns…read more The doctor created a plan that would have required work on almost all of her teeth. She was told they would sedate her and do it in two phases (top & bottom). She was quoted $16,000 for the first phase and then they helped my mother open a line of credit to pay for it all. Thankfully she called me before she had the work done. I took her to my trusted family dentist when she came for a visit. Our dentist took new x-rays and said that in fact NOTHING they recommended was necessary. She also reviewed all of the billing codes they quoted and found questionable billing throughout - many codes were duplicated/unnecessary. She said what they wanted to do was absolutely criminal, and she is planning to report this practice to the TX State Board of Dental Examiners. I'm disgusted that someone would take advantage of an elderly patient like this, and I'm also left wondering how many times they've done this before. Terrible.
