Turns out: wonderfully right. This diner is pure road-trip gold, the kind of place where time slows down just enough for the coffee to taste better. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, greeting locals with hugs, warm questions about their families, and the kind of genuine familiarity that makes you wonder if you've accidentally walked into a reunion. And somehow, they made us feel like we were long-lost regulars too. It was all very wholesome and slightly magical. The food was simple, satisfying, exactly what breakfast should be when you're about to climb, wander, and sweat your way through a national park. I think someone was supposed to seat me, but I wondered in and found a booth and asked a waitress if ok. Staff came to the table quickly and I ordered quickly. A late get road breakfast & coffee.
