It was tasty, but I find a bit overpriced Sweet Chili Ribs- $21 (5-6 bones or 1lb) - Nice and tender ribs, can't complain except you hope for more. Short Rib Pappardelle- $34 - Really nice portion and generous amount of short rib boneless meat. Pasta was cooked nicely and coated nicely with the sauce Hunter's Half Boneless Chicken- $27 - It says boneless on the menu, but we found a bone from the drunstick attached to half chicken. Comes with veggies and mashed potato. Chicken was cooked nicely. Ube Cheesecake- $16 - Nice different taste profile from traditional Overall the food portion, quality is there, but pricing on some items are a bit high.

Menu is a tad over priced, but I can't deny it tastes good. Not overly salty or oily as bar food often is, and I actually really enjoyed their pasta. It's definitely a great place to go for a bit of a splurgy night with friends where you're prepared to pay $20-40 per person. I like it for a date night to have some heavier foods that I wouldn't want to try cooking at home. The short rib pappardelle was the best. I love the flavour and it's not too crazy heavy, even though it looks really creamy. It has very beef stew type vibes. The chicken wings were well cooked and still moist. I think it was too much flavour going on though. You LOVE the first and even second wing. But by the third one, I felt like it was getting too heavy. I know though that a lot of people love that and can't get enough of it. I personally don't like too much of any one thing. The brussel sprouts I felt the same. It's really yum for the first few bites but it gets really heavy after a while. I think it's really fun to have the appetizers and share a main with someone. The foods are a bit heavier, more of a flavour bomb, but everything is executed well and the staff are really nice! We've even done take out and the portions were very much the same.

We ordered the daily special 2lb wings with fries for $17.99. We chosed jerk and roastic garlic red pepper. The jerk flavour was good but they could have tossed more sauce in the wings. The roasted garlic red pepper was a dry seasoning. The wings are very large in size. The french fries were fresh cut yukon potatoes seasoned just right. Now for the bad. The wings tasted dry or may have been refried. I would expect them to fry a fresh batch of wings for my order. We ordered the 1lb mussels with white sauce. The waitress told us they were almost out of mussels and not enough for 1 lb so they gave it to us for free. The mussels were served with buttery white sauce with green peppers and scallions. Mussel meat was small but the overall flavour was pleasing. We also ordered 2 pitchers of Stella Artois. Draught Beer was fine not watered down. Overall the experience was ok but the quality of the wings can improve. The server was new and she was not familiar with the menu offerings but I was able to download it myself on their website. If you're in Pickering this place is a decent place to meet up and have a few drinks and pub food. P.S. they donhave daily and everyday specials. Check the signage scattered in the restaurant.

It's located in a plaza next to Rexall, anchored by a Food Basics. I headed eastbound along Steeles Avenue East, which becomes Taunton Road. I then turned right on Westney Road North, eventually making a left into this plaza. There was plenty of parking when I arrived. I backed into a spot and walked in. We reserved a couple of tables. We were ready to eat! We got there just before 4 pm. Our friendly server advised that its new pub menu was available for us to order from, as well as its main menu. It's a Caribbean restaurant that puts an island twist on many items. There are also non-Caribbean food if you're not feeling like having spiced-up items. From the pub menu, we got these items: - Loaded crunch burger - Mushroom madness burger - Greek salad - Beef nachos - Jerk chicken poutine - Jerk quesadilla We ordered these items from the main menu: - Special chicken lo mein - Spicy pepper shrimp - Honey garlic beef short ribs - Szechwan tofu with rice We started off with drinks. I ended up with a Hibiscus fruit mocktail. I couldn't tell you what was in it, but it was cold and delicious. Our table also got colourful drinks, including a mojito. We also got a pitcher of icy water. I went up to the bar to get a refill roughly halfway through our meal. The female staffer was so nice. She brought the refill to our table and even topped up our glasses. The food was excellent. I sadly couldn't fit the burgers in my system. They looked amazing. I love mushrooms, so I was especially sad that I didn't get to try the mushroom madness burger. Both burgers that we ordered came with fries. It seemed weird to order a Greek salad from a Caribbean place. Hey, we got to get some greens in. I was impressed at how much feta we got. I enjoyed this salad. The lettuce and onions were crisp. The latter didn't have that raw, burning taste to them. The dressing was delicious. The beef nachos were amazing. The beef had big, bold, beefy flavour. The melty cheese was great with the sour cream and crunchy nacho chips. I normally don't like sour cream, but this place didn't overdo it. I liked the lighter-handed approach. The jerk poutine was amazing. It had the best seasoned jerk chicken morsels with crispy fries, a decent gravy, and cheese curds. The jerk quesadilla stole my heart. The cheese pull didn't seem to want to stop. It was the same flavourful jerk chicken. It was delicious. The mains were equally as good as the pub items! The special chicken lo mein was indeed special. The lo mein was chewy and yummy. The sauce was on the saltier side, but it wasn't horrible. I liked the veggies, especially the baby corn. It had tender chicken morsels mixed in. On top of everything was even more roasted chicken. Wow! Everything was delicious, including the chicken on top. The spicy pepper shrimp were incredible. If you like spicy deliciousness, get the shrimp. They were perfectly cooked and yummy. The honey garlic beef short ribs were scrumptious. The sauce had the best mix of honey with garlic. The ribs were tender. I loved the red and green peppers. Yum! The szechuan tofu was a nice alternative to meat. The flavours were bold and perfect. I loved the cubed tofu. I actually brought this dish home with a mound of steamed rice. This eatery has a lot of seating. The bar is gorgeous. There's a huge screen for sports games there. You can also watch games anywhere in this restaurant as there are screens everywhere. If you do want a change of pace, there's a pool table near the entrance. I used the washroom before leaving and heading home. The women's was clean. This eatery has lunch and student specials. I'd like to try the former items one of these days. I had a great time with friends here over yummy drinks and food. I can't wait to return for more. (285)

Before trying their food, I checked the following:…read more - Home made pasta - check. - Thin crust pizza - check. - Beef Carpaccio (I was craving at the moment) - Check!! * This was a Uber home delivery order. We ordered: # Pizza MARGHERITA: It was just ok - the crust was thin but did not have wheaty-ness and chewiness that I desired. Tomato sauce instead of fresh tomato slices. Mozzarella cheese was not as stretchy (even when a bit reheated). Overall, felt oily with too much cornmeal around. It was disappointing as I expect Margherita to be fresh and light with simple ingredients (preferably, fresh tomato slices). But their tomato sauce was very good though, hitting perfect balance of sour, sweet, salt and chunkiness. And it tasted fresh. # BEEF CARPACCIO: Loved this simplicity - thin beef slices with shredded picked beets, white beans and arugula. I liked its minimal seasonings - which extracts the best of fresh beef flavour. # MUSHROOM RAVIOLI: This is the best dish of the day. The pasta was thick side but had distinct home made chewiness. Once in the mouth, I felt burst of mushroom flavor mixed with fresh cheese. Sauce looked simple but had depth with black truffle butter and white truffle oil - cool. Highly recommend. # ARANCINI FORMAGGI: This was our least liked dish. I felt something lacking. Rice was dry not creamy. Did not feel cheesiness as it claimed. It really is tomato sauce dependent. Overall - I am happy to find this place! Finding good ravioli is hard but I found good one in my area. I will repeat, to try other pasta dishes!!!!!

This place has plenty of seating and a very large bar with TVs all over. They have daily food specials, live music and karaoke. It had your typical pub vibe, dark wooden furniture and walls, worn carpet, regulars perched at the bar; the usual. It was a lot bigger than I expected.(That's what she said, ya ya) I went with the Fish & Chips and my friend got Wings with Sweet Chili sauce. The fish and chips came with 2 decent pieces of Haddock, coleslaw, tartar sauce and fries. There was a little more batter than I like, but it was still good. The coleslaw and fries were perfect; plentiful and crunchy! She said the wings were good, a little kick, but not much. To me, it would've been hot as she is a spicy gal! It wasn't until we were done eating that we noticed people coming back to the table with bowls of something. Turns out, there's complimentary soup in the corner by the fireplace, so keep an eye out for it when you're there. Service was ok. We waited 15min or so before we were served. A little pet peeve of mine is when tables seated after me get served first. The drink menu is all of the usual suspects, but sadly no craft beer. Everything there was extremely OK - not better, not worse, just really OK.
