(Of course, if you're a professional painter, you'd already know this, so please disregard.) From high-quality primers and top-rated Benjamin Moore paints, to tools for protecting, reaching, mixing and window glazing, Ricciardi Brothers carries just about everything under the sun. The store's smallish size also means that it's a lot easier to gather everything you need for your painting project a lot faster than if you were to visit one of those faceless, big-box tool emporiums where chasing down expert help is practically a sport. Here, the experts are always a stone's throw away and happy to help (if they're not already inundated helping others). As with most places, a pleasant demeanor and a kind word goes a long way. Oh, and they accept smartphone-enable payments, which personally saved me a trip back home for my wallet on my most recent visit. Really awesome!

Not only was this the best customer service I've ever experienced when buying paint, but it is probably in my top 5 best customer experiences ever! Kristen helped me develop a color palette, and choose colors in the direction I wanted to go, that would complement both my color palette and trim color. I then purchased samples, and boards and tried everything at home. I loved 8/10 colors immediately and just had to return to the store to adjust the colors for two rooms. Because of Kristen's expertise I didn't have to spend much time choosing the perfect colors. She knew immediately which ones to suggest. I plan to return to Riccardi Brothers for a wallpaper project next! Run, do not walk here if you are looking to paint.

Unpleasant customer service…read more Was unsure of the paint finished. Knew there was eggshell and others but asked if I could get the full breakdown. Guy behind register was preoccupied watching a game. I had to ask a few times if I could get an explanation of all the paint finishes as I'm not fully aware. Stopped in the other day to get touchup paint. Requested flat pale oak, small can. The cheapest as I only needed it for one spot. He ended up canning a regal select for me which is quite the opposite of the cheapest can. It's the most expensive. By the time I realized what had been prepared, I felt like I was left with no choice but to purchase it. Overall, I felt misled and overcharged, especially because I was very clear that I wanted the least expensive option for a small touch up. Combined with the lack of helpful customer service during my previous visit, I was extremely disappointed with my experience and would not return to this location.

When I began to ask Maura about wall coverings and wanted info on doing an accent wall, she replied that it "will be more than you'll want to spend on an accent wall" and said so twice in front of other customers. Wow excuse me, but I don't recall giving you my budget nor did I ask you what you think I'd be willing to spend. In fact, I educated her on my experience with having had wall coverings done in my past home and I'm well aware that they can be expensive. Maura, don't assume anything is too much for a person walking through your door. You just lost my business. Classless place go elsewhere.

I reached a point a few years back where the idea of painting rooms in my house was more than I could handle so I looked for someone to take over that task. My paint job is divided into two parts with the downstairs on the list for after my daughter's wedding in October. I am excited to have them back.
