I have been going to different Tucker's around the state plenty of times in the last three years. Normally, I frequent the Hooksett location. This is my first, and most certainly will be my last visit to the Tucker's in Dover. Let's start with the waiting area, tiny. Tiny. Tiny. The owners should know this place will be jamming since they've expanded, so clearly their name will draw people. I went as a party of two at 8:30am, which obviously is their peak time for the week, I understand that. We waited 15-20 minutes, I am okay with that. Sat down, was given two place settings with two forks, no knives. I ordered the eggs in a basket. My partner ordered the breakfast panini with a side of breakfast potatoes. 25 minutes later, our food comes out. The yolk on my eggs had cooked over, after I specifically clarified with the server that the eggs are over easy and the yolk would be runny. Corned beef and hash at room temp. Very little seasoning, and the food was bland. My partners side of potatoes couldn't have been more than 3/4 of a cup. Not what we had in mind for a $3.50 side. We placed our order when we sat down, because we had time to review the menu since we had a wait. Our server did not check on us or refill our drinks for the 25 minutes it took for the food to come out. Was the food awful? No. Was the atmosphere good? Sure. Did this experience live up to the brand's reputation and my expectations that come with the prices on the menu? Absolutely not. read more

Breakfast at Tuckers was amazing... I asked for lightly scrambled egg and over easy egg and the eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancakes were absolutely fluffy, hash-browns were so delicious. Server Israel O was absolutely professional, polite and my coffee cup was always filled which is most important to me. Thank you for a great experience as always!!! Great food. Only downside is no liquor/beer. But a great spot, as is indicated by the line very often out the door.

Went for breakfast we didn't have a reservation. We were told 20 minutes. We waited 45 minutes first problem. The booth was dirty spiders eating a bee second problem. Staff cam over she seamed okay took drink orders. Placed our breakfast order came fairly quick. Food was cold plates were very hot third problem. Will not be going back. Expected more read more

Wow what a great find. We come to Dover every six months to visit family we hotel it across the street. Since the Wooden Spoon closed we had been eating hotel breakfast. Now that we have tried Tuckers we have found our breakfast spot. Husband had Pops omelet, stuffed with meats and cheese, I had Classic Benny it was wonderful. Waitstaff was properly attentive refilling coffee as need, manager even came over and asked if everything was okay. Will return and will tell family and friends read more

I really enjoyed my first time at Tucker's and I hope to return soon. The sandwich I got was delicious. In our group we had several people with allergies, as well as one who eats gluten-free, and one Vegan. Everyone was pleased with their meals. I use to have breakfast there every Tuesday. I no longer go there because every time I went there I was served cold food. I was told that they were going to do there best to fix the problem, however week after week I continued to get cold eggs and bacon. The wait staff is very good. read more

It was so wonderful to go back inside the restaurant again! They were excellent at maintaining distance and cleanliness. The waitstaff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, and helpful! Breakfast was so delicious! Mom and I got the Lemon French Toast...lemon bread in french toast batter, beautifully fried and topped with fresh berries and whipped cream and syrup! The first couple of times going to Tucker's, it was fantastic! Attentive wait staff & knowledgeable of their gluten free items (I have Celiac). Then there was a change. We had gone & I ordered a meal with gluten free hollandaise & instead of hollandaise, it came with a few regular Mac & cheese noodles mixed in (needless to say I got sick). The manager did come over and offer her condolences & made it right, so we figured we would of course give it another chance because of her kindness.... After that, we went back & unfortunately we waited an hour for our meal because the order was messed up not once, but three times. Many times we've ordered take out and received wrong orders. I'm writing this today, because our order was yet again incorrect. It's so sad because we really love it there because of the options that they do have, but unfortunately will not be returning. read more

It was good. Nothing to get excited about, but good. The veggie benedict was flavorful and the portion was perfect (not too big which is good for me!). Family I was with all had meat dishes and said they were "good" and "decent". I had a green tea latte that was good, coffee was good, service was good, atmosphere was good. Overall, (can you guess?) Had this place recommended by a friend. Went on a Saturday late morning/early afternoon. Place was packed! We had to wait about 25-30 minutes which is pretty normal for a popular breakfast place on the weekend. Breakfast food was unbelievable. Fresh, tasty and was served very fast. This is place has a killer breakfast but it is a tad bit pricey depending on what you get. If you are the type that does not mind paying for good food then this place is for you. Omelets are delicious, along with the french toast and many different side options. This place also gets their products from local farms so everything is always fresh. read more

I love Tucker's for lunch. This is the first time I tried their breakfast and I was unpleasantly surprised. The breakfast menu is markedly less healthy and imaginative than the lunch menu, in my opinion. I don't need or want three whole eggs in my omelet or scramble but that seems to be the norm so I let that slide. I kept it simple and ordered two eggs over medium, dry rye toast and home fries. The eggs were cooked as ordered but the toast was not toasted and the potatoes were strange - kind of spongey with a sour taste. How can you screw up toast? Their bread is very thick so it needs more time to toast which apparently they don't do. Mind you, we were there on a Tuesday at 1000 - not a really busy time. I will continue to go to Tucker's but only for lunch. The simple breakfast I ordered almost couldn't be worse. read more

Went in for lunch on 7/13 it was crowded however I got seated almost immediately. After being seated it was about 5 minutes for the waitress to take my drink order it took about 10 minutes for my drink to arrive - I ordered chili and cornbread ! The chili was super thick ( not much to my liking ) and actually was so thick it made me feel ill eating it / I ate about a quarter of it - on the plus side their cornbread is southern style off the chain bread amazing some of the best cornbread I have had in this area I will return for cornbread alone read more

I went here for the first time with a friend. She had been here before so I was excited to give it a try. I ordered the Power Pancakes. They were very filling and thick but also delicious! I couldn't finish them and I was very hungry when I arrived! Overall, the customer service was great but it was really packed. We went on a Sunday afternoon so probably got mixed in with everyone seeking a brunch type of meal. Definitely will go back and maybe try a lunch or dinner item! read more

We went to Tucker's for lunch. I wish their menu was more extensive, with not much variety in types of food to order, and their side choices of things, like an apple, was not inspired. I ordered a Pastrami Melt sandwich and the few slices of meat that was on it was only on one half of the bread, leaving the other half of "sandwich" just mustard and herb spread. While the flavor was good, I felt cheated on the preparation and portion. When I told our server about this, her reply was that, "yeah, that happens". Good food, horrible service. I can't remember walking out of a restaurant for poor service but I did today. I have been here several times with coworkers for breakfast. But I will encourage the coworkers to eat elsewhere after today's service. I spent over ten minutes waiting for a wait person to offer drinks or take our order. A couple was seated beside us and a soon as they took their coats off their order was being taken. Either they were seated in the lucky booth, or the wait person knew the customers or the wait person has no knowledge of first in first out. I'm not really impressed with Tucker's. I've gone a few times for breakfast and the wait is always at least 25 minutes.. they also don't have a changing table in any of the bathrooms, I have a 3 month old so this is extremely inconvenient. The wait staff hasn't been very friendly, they all seem stressed out and like they have too many tables and asking for more water and coffee is an inconvenience. Overall 2/5. read more

Breakfast here is always delicious and they have healthy options. A nice change from a typically greasy spoon experience.

Personally I feel that Tuckers is a private restaurant version of an IHOP. The food is generic and if you stick to the basics you will do ok. I felt that the price point for sandwiches should have included fries not as an extra cost add on. The location in Dover housed in a former Uno's has a chain restaurant vibe. The service was adequate but nothing that makes you feel a personal connection. My dinning partner got a bowl which was terrible and the server did not inquire why very little was eaten or packed up to go home. Nothing special here..... read more

Best food on the trip so far, well worth the trip from Portsmouth. Excellent quality all the way around, I was a little put off by what appeared to be a long wait, but this place operates like a fine oiled machine. Ok, I once said that I wanted to try every sandwich on Tucker's menu; I've tried three already, and they are FABULOUS! The Parisian (see my review on that one) is fantastic. The next one I tried was the Steuben; turkey instead of corned beef (I'm not a fan), and they happily changed the marble rye bread to sourdough for me. It was incredibly good, and I kept making involuntary yummy noises while eating it. The one I tried today was the Farmhouse...utterly amazing and absolutely delicious. Each sandwich I had came with the supergreens salad, which is wonderful. The Farmhouse sandwich was so big that I had to cut it up to eat it; not a problem. I asked the manager if they had "sandwich wizards" in the kitchen; those are truly the most yum-worthy sandwiches I've ever had. One more thing; my husband and I tried the breakfast there as well. He had the biscuits with sausage gravy and loved it. I am nuts for Eggs Benedict, and had their version....heavenly; just heavenly. I asked for hash browns with it, and extra bernaise sauce; which by the way is lemony and delicious. Best eggs bene ever! All this said, the prices are reasonable, the staff could not possibly be more friendly and accomodating, and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. If you haven't tried Tucker's, do.
