I decided to sell and I got a cash offer within days for a little less than i paid 10 years ago for it but more than i owed, which was good in my neighborhood. She then told me not to take the offer she could get much bigger offer. A week later I got that offer. I was very grateful to walked away with anything but i walked away very happy at closing.

The apartment has recently gone under new management called RPM, and they make us pay our rent through the Bilt app. If you're not familiar, it encourages to get a Bilt credit card. The app also has NOTHING to do with the complex itself, just business around it and coupons. Still have yet to figure out how to make maintenance requests. Starting with the elevators, none of them work. Not a single one. Office area, bring your own supplies if you want to print anything. Ink and paper, because they supply neither. Also one computer is so slow, it makes the turtles look fast. The actual office is always empty, always. Even the back area, which had two more desks are always empty. We went 2 to almost 3 weeks without not only the trash outside our doors not be taken out but even the dumpster was over flowing. They would rather spend that time power washing the parking lot, than take out the trash. Rent for the month of March was 3 days late, utilities for February and March are still not charged and unaccounted for. Bugs everywhere, sand for the volleyball pit is disgusting, pools do not get cleaned, or the fountains. RPM came in, bought the complex, then fired the entire management crew within 3 days as well. On my move in day my apartment looked like the person had moved out that morning. Nothing clean, everything broken, and it smelled awful. My move in day inventory sheet was filled with maintenance requests. Some still have not been fixed. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

What I've seen: They have many amenities for the people who live here. They have a nice gym, a conference/work room with a very nice coffee/cappuccino maker. They have a "hangout" area complete with tv, shuffle board (I think that's what it's called) table, Pool table, poker table, kitchen area, and possibly more that I'm forgetting. They of course have a pool. They are also situated over a private parking garage. I was very impressed with everything I saw and definitely feel that this would be an ideal place to live if you want to be downtown. My cousin's apartment also has a great view of downtown. From what my cousin has told me: It's quiet. The people are very friendly. They have gatherings for people who live there so you can get to know your neighbors, and also have a great time. You can rent out the hangout area for parties. You are allowed to have pets there if you pay a pet fee of course. She has a cat and a dog, so I know this to be true. My cousin loves living there, and I certainly can't wait to visit her more often.

After I caught my ex cheating on me he decided to buddy up with Judy the lovely Manager back stabbed and throw me out but fortunately for me I had already planned to move anyway and escape that terrible complex! Judy was the worst back stabbed. She was constantly causing problems between the residents and not getting rid of the true problem residents. The front units next to heights blvd flooded inside the apartments on several occasions and my neighbor even broke her lease and moved out early because she kept having sewer back up into her apartment onto her floors and they would not fix it. I loved living in the heights but I was certainly glad when I chose to leave those Light Hill Apartments at 835 heights blvd and evening happier to leave Judy's terrible management skills and the lack of any help from the owners when I brought it to their attention either.

Amongst expressing my concerns I was told by Alexis that roaches in the building are normal and the only solution is to have pest control come and keep spraying. I am extremely disappointed. I've had to kill over 75 cockroaches during my time here, and despite filing numerous complaints, the issue has never been resolved. Pest control has visited more than 20 times, and maintenance has also tried to help, but nothing has worked. Management eventually acknowledged the problem but refused to take responsibility, instead blaming "outside tree roaches"--which clearly isn't the issue and not my problem. I even asked to be moved to another unit due to the infestation, but my request was denied. On top of that, the walls are paper-thin--you can hear everything from neighbors' conversations to barking dogs and footsteps above. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews--they seem not be actual residents that have lived here and don't reflect reality. It's highly likely that management is having friends or family write these reviews in exchange for incentives. While the appliances and finishes might look nice, they don't make up for the daily stress of living with roaches. There are plenty of newer, better-managed apartments nearby. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I'm still stuck here, counting down the days until my lease is over.

This being my typically experience with a locator. Angelica actually found out all the little details I needed to know in order to make my decision.
