From the Yelp reviews / about and their website i thought this was going to be a personalized apartment search where an agent would call me but it's not. I was disappointed in how the situation was handled and in my communication with my representative. Jacky did a great job finding me an apt that met all of my needs! She was very attentive and was a huge help since I knew nothing about Texas after getting here, or where to live. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that once I got into my apt there wasn't any follow-up and I had to ask 3 months after living here where my rebate was. I did get a quick response after asking and it should be in the mail soon. Just sort of something that might get overlooked if you don't remember to follow up for them. The three star review is being given because their whole gimmick for attracting people is not as expected. They offer up to a $500 rebate if you use their services and turns out what you really receive is a $50 gift card with a 20% merchant charge. So I'd say go ahead and use Apartment Gurus just don't have high hopes for a decent rebate. read more

I found Apartment Gurus on Yelp and they found places that we had already found on Zillow, but I figured that the "$500 cash back" they offer was a sweet deal and so I decide to use them as our referral or our rental. It took over 4 months for us to finally receive the rebate and when we did, it was $60 bucks. Oh... "UP TO $500 cash back". Why not just say "UP TO $1 million" if you're not really ever going to get close to what you advertise anyway? Jacky was nice and helpful, but Apartment Gurus' deceitful advertising and slow rebate lands them 2 stars. read more
