Taylor Heights is truly one of the best apartments I have ever lived in. I feel like every apartment has their pros and cons but here I feel like the pros outweighed the cons. I think the management here is stellar. They try their best to get things done in a timely manner and are friendly. They have to live in the apt also so they are aware of issues happening in the building. I liked that housekeeping regularly cleaned the carpets. The maintenance here was phenomenal. Polite, friendly, and got their work done! They have a nice pool and hammock area. I truly felt safe here. Cons were the freaking doors would break often, but you get used to it. Their emergency maintenance needs to be updated. I left my key outside during a weekend and the emergency maintenance did not answer the phone. read more

I have lived here 30 months, and I don't recommend, I get ignored by the leasing office and no one replies to my emails or my concerns. After spending 50-60k here you would expect some kind of "customer service" . Very disappointed in the complex, the back area smells like feces , there's dog urine by the front where guests enter, the carpet in the building needs to be cleaned. When my dryer would be moldy, they told me I needed to keep my dryer door open, when I asked for my vents to be replaced they told me it's "cosmetic" . For what you are paying you would expect better service. In the beginning when I got here it felt like home, now I have no words to describe my experience here. read more

If you're looking to live in the Heights, Taylor Heights is a really good option, at least from what I experienced on my tour. We did a walk in on a Saturday and Brian, despite being the only agent on site, sat down with us to discuss what I was looking for and provided us with some floor plan options, discussed their specials and then gave us a tour. The building is relatively new and all the amenities were top notch. Out of all the apartments I saw, I must say they have the best out door space. The one bedroom apartment I saw was a little over 850sq foot I believe. The living room was a decent size, with a patio attached to it. The kitchen had a large island and all new appliances. The bedroom was carpeted (a plus for me), large closet located after the bathroom (which I disliked) and a double sink in the bathroom as well. The finishings all around the apartment were great but I especially loved the backsplash in the kitchen. Again, if the Heights has your heart, this is where you need to live. While I regret having to write this review, because I do think the complex overall is in a great location and I've heard great things about the staff and complex as a whole, however, I unfortunately my experience here has fallen extremely short of any expectation I had prior. I have lived at Taylor Heights apartments for the past 2 years. My first year, my car and another individuals was broken into the night where the garage door was not working and therefore was left open throughout the night. That night there was no security enforced despite the garage door being open. Only after my incident did the complex start enforcing on site security until the garage door was fixed. However, this garage door was not fixed for several months. HPD stated that there was insufficient evidence and video to support my police claim. This past year, my 2nd year at Taylor Heights apartments, I had a termite infestation at the end of May where me and another resident were affected. It took 9 days for the exterminator to come to my unit to address the situation despite this being an urgent situation, this service was rescheduled serval times that week. During that time, blue tape was placed on the walls where the termites were eating through the tape. Following the treatment, I had more tapes on my walls/ceilings for 6+ weeks until the walls could be repaired. In addition to these poor circumstances, the final straw has been the black mold present within my unit (as pictured). As this poses a serious health risk and should warrant an early termination of my lease and/or a complete hold on monthly payments until resolved (both of which have been denied). This is just a handful of the several negative experiences I had at this complex, limited to but not including the uncomfortable interactions with a staff member at this complex. I hope management takes into account my attempt to address these concerns in hopes that other tenants do not suffer in the way I have. read more

Everyone should beware before renting here. In the last 6 months I was there, at least 4 or 5 cars had tires and rims stolen and left on cinder blocks. Their security is a disaster and even though they tell you a Houston cop lives on premise, they don't tell you that the cop's first duty is to respond to City of Houston calls - NOT the apartment complex, so the cop is barely to be seen. Their accounting office is ATROCIOUS. They tried to steal and mis-represent the money I owed at EVERY possible instance - for example when renewing my lease, they told me I owed 2 to 3 times the amount that was truly owed. I had to catch all of the errors before they fixed them. If you do any business here, you should watch your purse strings and do not assume that anything was calculated correctly. They have no attention to detail and trust their accounting to inexperienced employees who I have no idea where they find these people. I don't want anyone to walk into this complex thinking it is all unicorns and ponies. Others have mentioned how they were treated upon having their car stolen from the complex. I am not the only one who has seen all the theft and security lapses. Many of the positive reviews are most likely manufactured from renters who have not had to deal with any of the nightmares that other renters have endured. I encourage you to beware before renting here. read more

If I could pack the Taylor Heights management team and staff to take back to Florida with me, we could change the world (and I'd never buy a house, because why? I'm spoiled here). Vona, Freddy, Nina, Brian, Necole, the maintenance team AND the house keeping team are all exceptional and deserve all of the accolades and salary increases that the company has to offer. You've truly made me feel safe, seen and at home although I'm a very long way from Miami. I'm so thankful to have spent my last 2 and a half years here and Taylor Heights is the only thing that I'm going to miss about Houston. read more

I stayed here for a few days with a friend and I enjoyed it. The place was clean and new looking. There are a lot of outdoor community areas that are fun for lounging and hanging out. Potentially the best community areas I've seen to date in an apartment complex. There were little private sections outside with covered roof to lounge and watch tv. There was a pool table. And a cute pool of course. There were areas to grill. There were also outdoor sections on a higher floor - rooftop style. There was also some really cute indoor community areas that could be used as a hangout with friends. The place was so big it was a bit hard to navigate. And no service in the garage. But the biggest con was the limited time for a guest to park. The apt complex only allows residents to have a limited amount of time for guests to park in their garage. They could be rated higher of they removed that limitation. read more

Best apartment building I have ever lived in!! Brian was so helpful throughout the leasing process and upon move in, everyone at Taylor Heights was beyond helpful. It was such a seamless move-in process, they asked if I needed carts or dollies and made sure I had easy access to my apartment as I was making trips back and forth. If you prefer unfriendly office staff, irresponsible residents and a terrible property then go somewhere else. This is a place where you come to when you want to experience kind people, a vibrant community with multiple resident events, a beautiful pool and great neighbors. So if that's not your cup of tea keep looking lol Hopefully your not confused. This is a exit review bc we are moving but still rate 5 stars nonetheless. Sarcasm aside, I've lived at multiple properties in Houston and Taylor Heights hands down have exceeded my expectations beyond what I could have predicted. My family owes a huge thanks to making our stay at Taylor Heights one of the best we could ever ask for. If life circumstance did not require us to relocate we wouldn't. That's how good this property is. Not kidding or exaggerating. Special shout out to Necole the PM who goes above and beyond to exceed resident satisfaction. I have never been so sad to leave an apartment building. I moved in as soon as this place opened and I have loved living here. The staff is impeccable. They go above and beyond to help you out and the maintenance team (Freddie!!!) is top tier. They all take pride in their work and it makes living in this building feel like home. I am deeply saddened to be leaving my home at Taylor Heights, but alas work is relocating me to south Texas. The staff here from Mia, Bianca and Freddy are stellar and always willing to lend a hand! The apartments are truly homes, great amenities, perks, monthly socials, and it is kept so clean despite some of our neighbors who forget they live in a shared community. Pros: Love the central location being within 5 minutes drive to an array of fine dining experiences, elevated bars/lounge options, and all of Houston's professional sporting venues. The engagement with the staff has been very professional and yet approachable at the same time. There is a genuine sense of community here which you usually do not find with the pomp and circumstance of properties built within the Heights. Cons: Gym is modestly sized. read more

My friend lives in the Taylor Heights apartment and it is one of the only apartments that I have been to with the easiest visitor parking! There are a bunch of spots and all you have to do is register your car for as long as you need! It only takes about 2 minutes! read more
