Lived in wonderful 1 bdrm apts from. 2012 - 2017 on 2nd floor of newer building. Both were remodeled before I moved in to each. Staff is very kind, location is awesome, price was great, loved the private park onsite, Property manager was the kindest person. Not sure if he id still there but he knew every resident by name and was just so kind and helpful. Although while we were staying there things were okay for such a older property, while moving out the manager was so rude. So condescending and dismissive, I was stunned. The other lady Alicia was ice enough. It was like a bad break up with a childish ex. Very unprofessional. Just know what you are getting into. I have lived at the property for two years and have had an amazing experience. The location is perfect as well as the price in my opinion! The only reason I am leaving now is because I am buying a house. The management has always been helpful, nice, and responsive. The landscaping/up keep on the property is very well maintained. The maintenance for the inside of the apartment itself has always been quickly attended to. I have not had any major maintenance issues while living here. The management does throw resident events throughout the year which are thoughtful and makes it feel like a small community. It is a quiet and calm environment on the property. If you have dogs or like to be outdoors the park next door is perfect for you. I have never felt unsafe walking on or around the property. I will miss this place and definitely recommend it to others. I have seen some negative reviews of the property but have not had an experience like that at all. Love living here! The apartments are stunning, I feel safe and they are affordable. They also allow ring camera and alarm systems. Good mix of 30's+. I take my pup on a daily social walk to say hi to other people and dogs every day in the park. The only reason I'm knocking off a star, is that the parking garage in phase 1 requires you to be clicked out by a clicker to get out of the garage. I've have multiple guests get trapped and there is no service in the parking garage to call me. I feel this is a safety issue in terms of a fire or in the event of an emergency. I can understand not having a call box but just to get out you shouldn't have to do that. Other than that room for improvement, I love it! read more

This is a quiet community for the most part and it's affordable for the location, but I've only been living here less than a year and my car was broken into twice already. For that reason, I do not recommend you live here. They have little to no security, the garage is easily accessible, and based on managements response, it appears they aren't going to do anything about the break ins. read more

I really loved my time at this apartment when it came to the apartment amenities and the view of the park. The team that helped fill service requests was very prompt and did a great job and were always very kind. I give it two stars because the management is really subpar. In other apartment complexes I lived in, the management was so on top of everything and was able to communicate with their residents really well. Our move in, during our time there, and our move out were all really a huge headache. While they are all very nice, they lack efficient communication. The management really lacks cohesion and communication skills. Sadly this is why I will not be moving back. read more

I've lived in many different apartments around the Houston area for the past 20 years and this is probably the most unhappiest I've been with an apartment complex. Yes, the location and apartment itself is great but everything else is a disappointment. The big park that's connected to the property is open to the public so it's unsafe at night to walk your dog. The lights go out often and stay out for days and it's pitch black. It doesn't help that the apartment doesn't own the park, so they have to email the company that does and wait for them to fix it. The apartment is split up in 2 different sections. If you live phase 2, the mail delivery/ office is far. The gym is tiny and the mail room is a disaster if you're looking for your package. The main pool is small but the one in phase 2 is even smaller. I have a senior dog that needs a stroller to be walked and I relay on the elevators heavily. The elevators break down often (especially when it rains or when there's a fire alarm). Lastly; since I've moved in, there has been at least 6 false alarms. I've experienced some when i came home for lunch (so who knows how many more I've missed) and some in the middle of the night. We're actually experience a false alarm right now, it's 5am. The alarm has gone off 3 times tonight starting at 2am. This last time, the fire emergency crews have stopped trying to silence the alarm. So it's been going off for the past hour. Don't waste your time here, for the price you pay for "luxury" apartments you can find something much nicer and better. read more

I have only lived here for a month and I can honestly say this is THE best apartment complex I've ever lived in. This place has FAR exceeded my expectations. The property is very clean and meticulously maintained. The office staff goes above and beyond in any situation. They make you feel like family! :) The floor plans are HUGE and very well laid out. TONS of storage and closet space!! The windows in my unit allow for ENDLESS natural light!!! It's beautiful! LOVE it!! The park is AMAZING!!! Very pet friendly commuThe most important thing for me though is safety! Of course crime happens everywhere so you should always be aware, but overall we feel very safe here! This is a TOP NOTCH property and as the saying goes - you get what you pay for....and in this case...even more!! Update 7/2/2020 - sadly, I am changing my 5 star to a 3 star review. Management has changed here and the property isn't the same. Management doesn't seem to care anymore, package delivery has been mandated to Fetch without asking the opinion of the residents first. This is now a monthly fee we pay just to have packages delivered to our home address. The change of this was handled very poorly. We have a resident portal where comments are posted by residents that are now censored. There are feral cats that live on the property that poop everywhere and allow for illnesses to both dogs and humans. I'm hoping things turn around because at present I am very disappointed. I lived at Post Oak Park Apartments, phase I, for 4 years, and only moved because I moved to a new city. First I lived in a one bedroom, then I moved to a two bed, one bath overlooking the pool. I'll start with the actual apartment and grounds. I think because this complex was built a while ago, the units are much more sound proof than new construction complexes. Units have been undergoing renovations the last several years to include new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, granite countertops, excellent stainless steel kitchen appliances and front load washer/dryer. Management allowed me to pick paint colors prior to move in, I just had to buy the paint. Otherwise it's the standard off white. Later down the road they let me paint my bedroom and bath an aqua blue. Floor plans aren't typical, and what's great is a lot of the units are arranged so that two of the same floor plans aren't side by side; my 2-1 was next to a one bedroom and my closet was next to the neighbor's bedroom, which also helps with noise control. The property has very lush and well manicured landscaping. There are small ponds throughout as well. All this creates a very serene and peaceful environment right in the middle of the big city. For those that live on the park side, I would imagine it's equally as nice and peaceful. The management team is excellent. Most of them have worked there for many years. To say they are accommodating would be a huge understatement. Their goal is to make POPA your home, not just some temporary place to live. There are residents that have lived there 10+ years, many 15 or more. The core maintenance team has been there from the start, I believe. IMO one of the things that makes a big difference is this complex is owned and managed by a smaller company, relatively speaking, so you get a real personal touch versus a complex run by a huge corporation where you're just a number and a rent check. If you are looking for party central, this is not the place for you. It's generally very quiet, tenants are mostly professional, and age ranges from 20 something to 70+. I overlooked the pool and while it gets used all the time, it's pretty low key... Which I loved!! I will say if traffic really bothers you, don't move to the Galleria/Uptown area. You won't be able to avoid it at all. This has nothing to do with this apartment complex though, it's just the way it is in the area. I LOVED living at Post Oak Park Apartments. I definitely will miss living there! read more

Update 5/5: It's been 1 week since the alarms went off so many times that the fire department told us they wouldn't respond anymore & the management company won't provide an update on whether or not they are fixing the system I've lived in this apartment for 6 months - they did not disclose to me that they have a faulty fire alarm system. It went off 6 times last night alone. The Fire Dept has said they will no longer respond. The management is putting its residents at risk of bodily harm by not fixing this problem. As a matter of fact, Chris the property manager laughingly told me they had the same problem last year. We flew into Houston to look for an apartment to enable us to live close to our large family. We called several apartment leasing offices, set up appointments, and toured different layouts. All of the leasing agents we met were very professional. When I called the leasing office at the Post Oak Park, I left a voicemail requesting an appointment. I waited all day for a callback but no one ever returned my call. If this is an indication of management's poor responsiveness I'm glad to learn this now. read more

EDIT: There just continues to be problems here! USPS no longer delivers mail to our apartments for the time being because the boxes were not secured. November 20th was when we stopped receiving mail. We must drive to the local post office (which is a good twenty-five minute drive from my work) to pick up our mail. I emailed the office today (11/27) and was informed that the issue probably wouldn't be fixed until 12/4. I honestly don't know what to do. I can't drive to pick up the mail that often because of the huge inconvenience. I have credit card bills, work documents, school documents, and volunteering documents all sitting in a post office. This issue, combined with the messed up packaging system has sent me over the edge. This apartment complex is in a GREAT location. I have an apartment with all updated appliances, which is really nice. There's even a wine fridge. There's rarely anyone in the fitness center, which is nice. Unfortunately, I'm giving it four stars because The package system is a complete mess. I have very sensitive materials mailed to me, including controlled pills for anxiety. The staff says they don't have enough time to let residents know when packages arrive, so they simply throw all packages in a room. It's a mess, takes a lot of time to look through (the office closes at 5:30, so I rarely have enough time after work to spend the thirty minutes looking through packages to find mine. I'm also extremely nervous that someone might take my package since it is clearly labeled as "Express Scripts." If my pills are taken, I will get very sick AND I will have to file a police report, which won't be fun. read more

I'm kind of stunned that no one has written a review for this wonderful apartment community! There are so many BAD apartment complexes with indifferent management and shabby surroundings. It seems this is the "norm" for way too many places in Houston. Not so for Post Oak Apartments. I LOVE this place! First off, their rents are very reasonable, particularly for the Galleria/Uptown area. The management is STELLAR. They are professional, super friendly and helpful and they are REAL PEOPLE who aren't mired in corporate b.s. and they actually talk to you and do their best to be flexible and accommodating, whatever situation arises. From the moment I toured this community, I knew they were very different. They really took their time to show me a ton of units. I got a really good feel for the various floor plans they have (and they have TONS of different layouts, not like most of the cookie cutter places with only a few to chose from). I found a two bedroom place with gorgeous high ceilings and very spacious...it was absolutely fantastic and hundreds less than many places a fraction of the size. If you are tired of paying a fortune for a shoe-box size place, you must check Post Oak out! The grounds are very well kept and there is a huge park (great for dogs) that separates two phases of the complex (one is about 5 years older than the other). It's big and shady and wonderful to just have a picnic in hang with the dogs and kids. Most units have spanking brand new stainless appliances as well and some come with granite counter tops...very nice. There are other fantastic architectural appointments in many of the units that make them pretty and interesting as well. All in all, I cannot say enough nice things about this place. The management staff alone is reason to move in. You have a problem? You call them and it's handled immediately and with a smile. The location is fantastic! Just two blocks to 610 in one direction, and 4 blocks to Highland Village. And Target is a stone's throw to boot. Downtown is 15 minutes away. You must check this place out if you are interested in a very nice living facility, close to everything, with affordable rents and the best (and nicest) management in town. They made us aware that it couldn't be better located and was amidst a lot of shopping, restaurants, transportation and schools. Rates are awesome, mgmt has not raised rates a lot over that time period (I think something like $30 more a year), I love the location for it's access to I10 for work, the apartments are pretty much soundproof, and the apartments are very nice inside. Within walking distance of the Galleria and quite a few bars. Check out the Railyard! Rates are reasonable, low crime, fantastic location, and good maintenance. You should definitely check them out. Lived at Post Oak Apts for about two years. Loved our time there. We had a one bedroom in phase 1 that overlooked the massive private park. Our dog absolutely loved it. The unit itself was great. It was nicely finished, well equipped with modern appliances, and very spacious for a 1BR. The residents are all great and very friendly, the staff is terrific, Chris and Elizabeth are all wonderful and very good at listening to concerns and have terrific follow through. Overall it was a great place to live but my office relocated and the commute became a burden. My only criticism would be the proximity to the galleria and the west section of the 610 freeway, which as I'm sure most know, is horribly busy at times and with quite a lot of road work at the moment it can make rush hour a little crazy. But I'm knitpicking to find anything wrong with this place. It was great. If you're considering it as a new home, my recommendation would be to strongly consider one of their units. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

I had to leave my lease at Post Oak Park (phase 1) early for a job relocation, but I greatly enjoyed living here. The apartments are very nice with updated wood floors, stainless steel appliances, marble countertops, and other modern fixtures. The office staff is also friendly, honest, and reliable. They quickly found a new tenant to lease my apartment so that I didn't have to continue paying rent and then refunded me for rent I had paid in advance which was incredibly helpful in my move. The maintenance staff is also quick, usually fixing issues the next day. Packages get delivered to the office which is great for security, but means packages can only be picked up during office hours. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment complex! read more

I cannot emphasize enough how great this complex is!!! We lived here for almost 3 years and honestly it was very difficult to make the decision to leave. We are moving to a home so we have a yard for our dog and what really helped us make the decision was the incredibly flat footed upstairs neighbor whom surely must have spent a majority of his time practicing his Polka dance routine. He moved in near the end of our time at this place and I am a little resentful that we left! This place is that wonderful! The noisy neighbor above us was our ONLY problem the entire time we lived here and the management acted very quickly to work to resolve the problem. Any maintenance issues were quickly addressed and the property is very well kept. The units are beautiful (the updated ones) and are INCREDIBLY reasonably priced.... I still can't believe what a steal it was for a beautiful 900 sq/ft apt with wood floors, 10' ceilings, crown mounding, granite, stainless steel appliances, etc! Not to mention their beautiful park. You almost forget you're living inside the loop, it's so quiet and peaceful. And you are so close to EVERYTHING, beautiful memorial park, delicious restaurants, the best Whole Foods in Houston, etc. You will not regret moving here, the staff is so friendly, they'll remember your name in NO TIME and there's always a wonderfully done Christmas party (with food and alcohol provided). I absolutely love this apartment complex! I've lived here a little over 2 years and the only reason I'm leaving is because my fiance and I just bought a house, otherwise, I'd stay here forever! First, the management is beyond friendly and helpful. They go out f their way to make you feel comfortable and are quick to respond to any issues (we've had very few to be honest). Also, they throw a Holiday party every year for the tenants with catered food and free wine and beer, which is a great way to mingle with management and other people in the complex. Second. pricing. These are by far the most reasonably priced apartments in this area. We looked at older complexes in the same neighborhood that were $100 more a month and not nearly as nice. Our place is on the 3rd floor and it has high ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors. Also, we have yet to hear our neighbors, so the places are definitely sound proof. Third, location. You are close enough to major highways (6-10 and I-10), but the place is tucked nicely back in the neighborhood so you don't feel like you're next to such busy highways. There is a nice Target right across the street, which I've gone to many a night when I didn't feel like trekking all the way to the grocery store. This place is perfect! I'll be sad to leave but I hope the next person who moves in will be just as happy as we were :) read more

I lived in a one bedroom here for five years, 2011- 2016. Loved it. Sad to leave. This place is perfect for quality apartment living inside the loop + galleria/uptown area at a great price. The apartments overlook a beautiful quiet park with trees. I had my own private balcony overlooking the park. Huge bathroom & nice closet space. Brand new appliances and upgrades. Garage parking and nighttime security guard that drives the property. This place is just a minute or 2 from 610, 59 and I-10.... So it's super quick access everywhere at your fingertips. That is probably my favorite part. Great management, always quick response to any maintenance issues. Before I chose post oak apartments, I had looked at tons of properties inside the loop, but post oak came out ahead bc they offered better amenities at a better price compared to the other places. Quiet community. Young professionals mostly. Also, it helps having Target right across the street for a quick and traffic free store stop !! We just re-upped for a third year. Like everyone says, great rate. We are in Phase II on the fourth floor, facing the park, and both our place and the park is safe, quiet and beautiful. Our apartment is roomy with cool details and large balcony. High ceilings, crown moulding, granite, marble entry. Brand new kitchen when we moved in. High-end appliances. Garage parking can be tight but it's do-able. You can hear front doors banging down the hall sometimes but other than that, no noise. I have never heard anyone below or next to me. Our only small concern are the a.c. units; they are aging and your bill might go up a bit before you notice you need maintenance, but when you do need maintenance they are quick, professional and effective. Like everyone else is saying, management is terrific. Plus, there is that legendary Christmas party - we went this past year and what a rarity in a big city, a small-town feel and function. We've met lots of the neighbors by walking our dog and everyone is great. I come from owning a home for ten years and then living in a downtown condo for four years and this place comes out ahead of both those experiences. If you don't like traffic or high-rise construction all around you, think twice. But this is the fourth largest city in the U.S. so traffic is to be expected and honestly, I like watching big buildings going up! We highly recommend. read more
