We scheduled a tour for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, 14 June and was genuinely excited about making Fairmont Museum District our next home. Five minutes before the appointment, the leasing rep called to say an earlier visitor had arrived late (30 mins late) and asked us to wait "about 15 minutes" in the lobby. We agreed and arrived promptly. Unfortunately, after waiting until 4:15 p.m.--with no sign of the rep and no response to our call--I had to leave. The representative called back roughly at 4:30 p.m. with an apology, but by then our afternoon plans were disrupted and the opportunity to see the community was gone. I emailed management that evening to explain what happened and to give them a chance to address the issue. More than a week later, I have received no reply whatsoever. The combination of: -poor appointment prioritization (on-time visitors were bumped for someone who was 30 minutes late), -lack of real-time updates while I waited, and -complete radio silence after I submitted a detailed complaint speaks volumes about the property's customer service. If this is how prospective residents are treated, I can only imagine how existing tenants fare when something goes wrong. I ended up looking elsewhere. Disappointing experience all around.

And then you have the luxury of being smack dab in the middle of a booming club district that plays almost every night with trashy people drag racing and doing takeovers after the clubs get out until 3-4 AM. On top of that you can't even park in the parking garage without having to worry about your vehicle getting broken into! They refuse to fix the gate to get to resident parking and it's been a consistent problem since I moved in last August. If you expect help from property management, good luck. They will dodge you as much as possible. They don't return emails, calls, and if you go in person they'll lie to you and tell you the property manager is busy. Save your money and time and look for a place to live elsewhere.

I moved into these apartments in Jan 2022. I like it here and just renewed my lease for another…read moreterm. Even though there is alot of new construction nearby, all simular rental units, with comparable prices, we decided to stay here. 2023 moving is expensive, it's 100 degrees outside, and inflation is high on renewals, and don't want to deal with that. Our lease renewal rate was reasonable, so we decided to stay. I see very outdated ratings on Stonewood, which are irrelevant, in my opinion. Here's what I think. I find the apartments as quiet, clean, and a decent basic place to live in the city. Maintenance is great & responds quickly. The property, for it's age, is in pretty good shape, units interior is small, basic, no granite, painted beige and white, basic black appliances, overall in and outside of property is fine. The porter picks up trash, and regulary empties the dog poo cans. YEAH! I like being around responsible pet parents, which is a big deal to me. Nobody wants to smell 100+ degrees of poo! Stonewood's maintenance guys keep that cleaned up and tidy. Lawn service is regular, and does good job keeping the property groomed. The sprinklers come on regularly, and that keeps the plantings lush. The courtyard is pretty, and quite clean. The pool is small, and has needed some serious TLC, and apparently they are still struggling getting the pool properly repaired, cleaned, and properly serviced. That pool issue is reflective in my star rating above. The pool is the most important amenity to me. I will keep complaining, and the PM will eventually fix it. I would say the pool furniture needs some TLC, as well, mainly getting the webbing replaced. The Amazon boxes are great and I really appreciate that my orders are secured. The mailbox room is locked and gated, another secured area. We do have gate access, which is great. The apartments do not have security cameras, and just like in any place in Houston or metro city, you gotta lock, secure, and put your stuff out of sight, and be aware of what's around you. The gym is small, basic, but it free, and if its raining, the gym is fine. My neighbors, that do chat with me, are nice and I have enjoyed conversations around the pool or when they walked their pets. My neighbors above are pretty quiet, and work & sleep same hours that I do, so I am so grateful for that. It's really quiet at night. Once in a while I hear the train next door, but it's nothing unsettling. Bonus is location, close to fun stuff, food, bars, downtown. Commuting location wise is great, as you have a few different freeways to jump on/off, very close by, and that is worth every $. Bayou trail is across the street, bike or walk, and Memorial Park is a really close drive or bike. Overall, I enjoy living here.

I filled out all of my paperwork to move in mentioning my emotional support animal, I showed them the ID for move in, they said that was ok and no pet fee or rent was due for my animal. 6 months later, they charge me on my monthly bill for a $500 fee out of nowhere. They required me to fill out a medical form in order to get a refund on that 6 months later. I just paid the fee to avoid late fees or future issues. I also got pregnant during my stay at crimson, needed to move out to a different space because of my condition during pregnancy and to be closer to my family. There were people interested in my unit, main office never helped with any of this. I moved out two months ago, the apartment has been empty, and they didn't let anyone move in until my lease ended, I have emails from them mentioning how someone wanted to move in earlier, but they still didn't let them. I ended up getting my emotional support documentation signed by my doctor at the beginning of this month and sent it to them, they still haven't processed the refund on my account, the late fees are running, I've talked to many people at the customer service because the management of the building sent me to talk to them (for no reason) and I'm just a pregnant woman, 39 weeks, not working, and just wanting for them to remove the late fees and apply the fee to my may bill, so I can pay. I even wanted to sell my fence to my neighbor and they told him it was better to get a new one. Cero empathy from this place, it is like you're dealing with robots.
