OK, people listen up. (Ha, see what I did there?)
I recently relocated from California and as if I didn't have enough to do already, one of my hearing aids died. I am lost and deaf without them.
I was at Wood & Frog yesterday and right next door was the Tsawwassen Hearing Centre. I sat there trying to mentally calculate how much this repair was going to cost. $500? $1000? I come from California where nothing is free except for insults.
So I sucked it up and went in. They have a lovely, welcoming space with coffee and tea. The nice lady who helped me (and whose name I've forgotten because I'm old) offered to take a look at them, as opposed to sending them off for repairs.
Fifteen minutes later and my hearings aids were as good as new! 15 minutes! Annnd ... it was free! I thought it was a trick. Maybe "free" and please sign up for our mailing list we'll send you six times a day free. Nope. Just free, no strings attached.
I shall return. read more
