Tsaocaa is more than boba. There's egg waffles, chicken, and more. This location has street parking but it's paid. The front is a bit chaotic with all the supplies in full display along with lots of random toys and snacks for sale. Fortunately there's an upstairs that's more calming. Nice to see this chain out here. Their drinks are always consistent and I like that you can adjust the sugar levels. The drinks
This is primarily a boutique bubble tea shop, but besides bubble tea, they also have a pretty expansive food menu with dumplings, fried chicken, flavored egg waffles, and more. The drink menu itself has lots of variety with different types of tea, milk tea, fruit tea, and non-caffeinated mojito or milk-based drinks. I got: - Cloud-mist green tea w. milk foam & herbal jelly: Very good tea with a refreshing flavour. The herbal jelly was very herby (this is a good thing) and there was plenty of it in the drink. I got 0% sugar and was happy with that. The milk foam and jelly added just a hint of sweetness, not so much that it made the whole drink taste sweet. The milk foam added texture and creaminess more than sweetness. - Brussels sprouts: I appreciated that I had the ability here to order a big bowl of vegetables, not an option at most bubble tea or KFC places. $8 for fried Brussels sprouts looks steep on paper, but one order is a whole meal-sized bowl. These were delicious and tastefully crispy but a little too salty, especially with such a large portion. I would suggest splitting an order if you're there with a friend. - Taro egg waffle: Very well-made egg waffle with crispy and almost caramelized edges but soft, fluffy bubbles. The taro flavor was unique. They served the waffle with a small cup of honey. I tried dripping the bubbles in the honey but mostly ate it plain because I liked it just fine plain, and the honey masked the subtle taro flavor. I visited during mid-afternoon on a weekday where they were not very busy. The staff were very pleasant. They greeted me when I came in and brought my food to my table. They have two electronic kiosks for ordering, but I ordered with the staff since there were no one waiting at the time. The shop design is very cool, with two levels. Most tables have outlets. It was a quiet spot to hang out for a while and get some work done while I sipped my tea.
Love this place. Chicken sandwich is huge and filling! Tea is always good. Chill ambiance and decent service!
Tsaocaa are a plenty in Indianapolis, but honestly this location on Mass Ave is one of my favorites. I'm a big fan of the Coconut Mango Slush, and to my surprise their Korean Fried Chicken is worth the price in quality and taste. Their boneless Korean Fried Chicken is made with boneless chicken thigh meat, so if you're a dark meat type of person like me - you'll be pleasantly surprised! Crispy on the outside and always made fresh to order, their combo box with the fries is enough for two meals. Their inside location has two levels and lots of seating, they offer kiosk ordering and online ordering ahead as well. Worth checking them out if you're in the area!
This is our go-to downtown spot for boba tea. We often will call in or order online to make it a swift pick up since the Mass Avenue area can be busy for parking. I especially love ordering the Jasmine and Rose tees and adding a milk float on top. It's the perfect combination. I tend to order 30% sugar because I often think it's too sweet and skip the Boba to lower the calories. That's my personal go to order. The staff is friendly and down to business as they tend to stay quite busy. The only thing I don't love about this spot is it smells quite fried since they have added certain food options to the menu and it seems like the menu has maybe expanded beyond what it needs to be. They even have a cotton candy machine and some other things going on that feel a little random.
My boys love boba tea so we decided to stop in for lunch after running errands all morning. When we entered we were the only people there so we were able to take our time ordering what we wanted from a kiosk. We all got drinks chicken tenders and gyoza. We sat down and waited and I remembered they had soup dumplings so I had to order them. All teas were solid and the food was better than we expected. The Gyoza came with a sauce which was good and the 10 piece chicken tenders were crispy. We chose 3 sauces for the chicken bbq, hot & spicy, and soy garlic. We all like the soy the best and got an extra to take home with our leftovers. The soup dumplings were delicious and came with 2 sauces that complemented them well. We will definitely be back for
A nice little bubble tea spot on Mass Ave. The menu is massive: bubble & milk tea, baked goods, cotton candy, egg waffles..what don't they make?!? I got a medium peach oolong tea with added peach boba with a couple mochi donuts. The donut was just sweet enough without being too bland. The tea was delicious - will definitely order again! There are several seating areas with plenty of outlets. The store seems quiet enough during the day to make it a great remote working location. Staff were friendly and welcoming, I'll definitely be back!
Mmm love me some boba!! I got the mango yogurt drink which was delicious! Tasted like mango lassi, which I didn't realize until afterwards that it was basically the same thing lol. Super cute in here. Many drinks to choose from. Can't wait to try more
100% Happy with my purchase. I'm not the boba person but I love herbal jelly and brown sugar jelly. They have both! I always order 30% sugar from every places. They offer food menu as well. I will try fried chicken next time.
I'm trying all the bubble tea spots in Indy! This place is in the former LaTea on Mass Ave and is basically the same concept, but with some food items on the menu. Ordered the brown sugar black tea with milk and bubble. It was still pretty sweet, even at 50% sugar but not overly sweet that I couldn't drink it. I thought it was good, but probably not some place I will return over and over. Better than some others around town but not as good as Harmony Tea Shop or Kung Fu Tea.
I was sad to see Lattea shutter in this exact location but Tsaocca has filled the void in my bubble tea routine. Their tapioca pearls are top notch - fresh, brown (not black) and very QQ (bouncy/chewy). The menu has a lot going on, not sure what's up with that. I haven't had a chance to try any food on the menu but it ranges from bubble waffles, to fried chicken, to cotton candy... The main attraction - the bubble milk tea - was great. There are also a dizzying number of drink options, but so far the three times I've gone here I enjoyed what I ordered.
A Must-Try Drink! The service is always prompt and welcoming. If you love milk tea, you need to try the Brown Sugar Milk Tea! It's super creamy, sweet, and the brown sugar flavor is unique and delicious.
Very tasty and cute place. I got the taro milk tea and loved it. Perfect sized cup! Came out quick!!

place is quite spacious. order through kiosk and they not only sell some drinks but also snacks. they have many variants for drinks until i get confused choosing it. anyway for drinks and food: * grapefruit & peach tea with jelly: will say this drink is recommended. good combination and the jelly is also good... * melon tea with nata jelly: also good but if possible, allow us to change the topping by providing notes at the kiosk when we order. melon is quite sweet and nata jelly is also sweet so somehow a bit too sweet for my taste buds... * brussel sprouts: absolutely recommended snack to order. i believe they bake it and put some cheese on top. it is so good... actually i even came again to the store on that day because so satisfied with the first order and ordered other drinks: pineapple mojito and peach milk green tea which will say mediocre for these drinks. to be honest, i expect so much for my second order but honest review, i will say no to their milk tea. mojito is just ok... read more
5 Stars - Korean Fried Chicken, Boba, and a Surprise Lesson About Crystal Pearls This was my second visit, and I was so excited to dig in that I completely forgot to take photos before eating. By the time I remembered, I had already finished most of the chicken and drank over half of my matcha milk tea! On my first visit, I tried the taro milk tea and loved it. This time, I ordered a matcha milk tea with bubbles at 30% sugar, along with a pineapple mojito (non-alcoholic) with crystal pearls. The matcha was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. The 30% sugar level was perfect for letting the matcha flavor shine. The pineapple mojito was refreshing, light, and sparkling. It was also my first experience trying crystal pearls. My initial reaction was that I didn't like them because they're smaller and firmer than traditional boba pearls. They almost reminded me of boba that wasn't cooked quite long enough. But the more I drank, the more I appreciated them. In a cold, sparkling drink, they actually work really well. The pearls add a little surprise after each sip and give you something to chew, making the drink last longer and feel more interactive. Now for the star of the show: the Korean fried chicken. As someone who is mostly pescatarian, I've been wanting to try Korean fried chicken for a while, and this was a great introduction. I ordered the 10-piece wings with sauces on the side, choosing Soy Garlic and Secret Spicy. The wings were huge, meaty, and incredibly crispy. The Soy Garlic had that perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors. The Secret Spicy wasn't particularly spicy to me. I'd probably rename it Secret Sweet because that's the flavor profile that stood out most. What really impressed me was how well the chicken reheated. A quick trip through the air fryer made it even crispier than when I first brought it home. That's a rare quality in takeout fried chicken. If you're looking for a place that offers both excellent drinks and seriously satisfying Korean fried chicken, this spot is worth a visit. Whether you're a boba enthusiast, a fried chicken lover, or someone like me who enjoys trying new flavors and textures, you'll likely find something that keeps you coming back. I know I'll be back to work my way through more of the menu. read more

Was curious to find out about the place that replaced LaTea....aaaand was kinda disappointed. They do have a lot of food options (waffles, shaved ice, hand roll), which I appreciate. Ordered my fave oolong tea and was kindaaa disappointed. I usually like 0% sweet oolong milk tea, but the one I got was kinda bland and didn't have any hint of Sakura oolong :( I got the crystal boba (I usually get boba and 0% sweet since boba is sweet anyways) and it was meh. Next time I want to try their grass jelly, maybe it will give me more of a sweet flavor? The inside was clean and they have 2 order kiosks which are helpful if you don't know what you want and don't want to cause the cashier too much trouble lol. I'll be back and would like to try a different flavor or maybe a waffle. read more

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t…
Very cute space with lots of seating for a small location. I loved the Peach Mojito with amber boba. I also appeciate that you can order on kiosks! Maybe it's just me, but with so many different options, it can be overwhelming and a little stressful to decide what you want when ordering at a counter. A kiosk takes the pressure off by allowing me to go through the various options before making my choices. The waffles, mochi donuts, and other treats look great too, and I'll definitely make this a regular stop on Mass Ave. read more

Tsaocaa is conveniently located along Mass Ave. in downtown Indy. The menu featured a wide variety of teas and an abundance of toppings. They also had several desserts including HK-Style Eggettes which I highly recommend! The workers we encountered were polite and professional, and our drinks were delicious! The modern and sleek feel of the interior provides an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. All-in-all, Tsaocaa is a great place to visit and gets five stars in my book! read more
This place was a terrible disappointment, somehow ruined the atmosphere that LaTea spent years building! The boba itself has a very plastic-y texture and your teeth feel very chalky after drinking! read more

Right next to condados on mass ave. Cute inside with an upstairs seating area. Got the brown sugar milk tea with Oreo and it was soo good! Sister got the mango and cream and it was good also. The lady at the counter was so nice and felt like my grandma. Definitely will be back! read more

So happy they opened a location in downtown so that we no longer have to drive all the way up north to get our cravings in! They took over the previous location of Latea - similar vibes, layout, and decoration but with a whole new menu classic to Tsaocaa. They serve traditional Taiwanese drinks but also have Americanized sweeter options like their popular brown sugar drinks. We've never tried their non-beverage desserts but their Hong Kong waffles looked yummy! read more

Downtown just got its newest Instagram restaurant. I stopped into Tsaocaa because my son loves bubble tea. We soon found out they had so much more to offer. The menu includes soup dumplings, Korean fried chicken, egg, waffles, and macarons, I'll wrapped up in an aesthetically pleasing venue. It's very well lit. They have plants and modern light fixtures, and one of those cotton candy machines from TikTok. There are a few seats downstairs, as well as an upstairs with additional seating. You place your order at the kiosk and wait for your name to be called so far we have tried the traditional milk tea with Boba and the yogurt mango with popping Boba. Both were very good. You can adjust the sweetness to your taste. The Korean fried chicken is delicious although I think it's better if you dine in as opposed to carrying out. The same goes for the soup dumplings. Pro tip: get the secret sauce for the wings and make sure you get the hot chili oil for the dumplings . read more
I was so curious to try the bubble tea here and I think I should have ordered milk bubble tea versus the passion fruit mojito lol. It was good but I didn't think it would be sparking versus still but that's on me. I also got the waffle and it was tasty with the matcha flavor and honey on the side. I went around 7 pm and it took a while (around 30 min) for me to get my order because they were very busy. I felt bad since they only had one person behind the register and maybe a few more in the kitchen. They definitely need more support since they're so busy but they were so kind and they are just doing amazing work! This place is pretty popular since it's in mass ave and they have a good selection of teas. They also have a nice seating area upstairs with a few selection of games but the tables were a little dirty. I think I could see me coming back if I'm ever in the area but would want to try their milk tea next time. read more

You see so much more on Mass Ave. when you walk the streets. This was a great late night stop. You can order through a kiosk for quick easily ordering and to see all of the details. They have a fairly descent size menu along with lots of snacks options. The red bean egg waffle was perfect and came with a rich cup of honey. I went for the passion fruit and lime tea, sweet & tart, with a little bit of texture. Though this place is small there was ample seating plus a cute balcony. I can imagine all of the teens make it a hangout spot. They also have the cool cotton candy machine where you can select a design and it creates it for you. Super cool! Plus, open later than most places. A good alternative to hanging at a bar. read more

I haven't been to this place yet and I was just expecting boba and a small snack but I'm so impressed with the extensive menu they offer here! They have delicious boba of every kind, sweet macaroons of so many different flavors and salty treats like fries. The service was super fast and they have kiosks with photos so you can take your time scrolling through the menu. And there is a lot of seating upstairs and behind the stairs as well. Lots of plugs to bring your laptop or phone to work. Me and my friend went after work for a quick treat but ended up practically having dinner instead. Get place! read more

They have amazing boba AND food! The Korean Fried Chicken is my favorite in Indy, but there are options for everything both food and drinks which I love. For example, you wouldn't usually expect a boba twa shoppe to have MACARONS :0 The place itself is so vibey and they have an upstairs area, perfect chill spot. The people are always kind and very on top of it. read more
