I ate a sushi burrito in LA in like 2019, and then couldn't stop thinking about it for years. Little did I know, sushi burritos exist in Indy! My friend had been telling me about her favorite bubble tea spot for months, and when we finally went, I was so happy to see they also have custom poke and sushi burritos and delicious onigiri options. The inside is super cute and was very clean when we went. Service is quick and unfussy, so this would be a great option if you need to pick up a to go order, but it's also a nice spot to stop for a quick lunch break. It's cozy and quiet so could even be a good place to work or study if you're looking off the beaten path on Mass Ave. Aside from the onigiri, most of the food is totally custom and made to order, so you can really get whatever you want. You order on a paper menu like at a sushi restaurant, picking exactly what you like--and honestly, you can go wild here. For the base price of $11.50 (for burritos and bowls), you pick your base, protein, up to two sauces, and then add as many of the mix-ins and toppings as you want. A steal, imo! There are several ways to make this vegetarian (I got tofu), and it could be gluten free, too, if you're careful about sauces. I ordered my burrito and a peach black tea with aloe jelly. I rarely give boba places a 3 or below, but after trying a variety of boba and tea spots around Seattle, Chicago, NYC, Boston, New Haven, and Providence, I am a bit more critical. The server was friendly and there was nothing wrong with that aspect. I had the original milk tea with pearls and a large was only $5.72 which is great pricing. In NYC, that would be around $8-10. The milk tea didn't taste as great as other places and didn't have much flavor. The boba was chewy and cooked well, but I noticed immediately that it was unsweetened so it was just tasteless tapioca. I think it's important to cook pearls in some brown sugar otherwise it will not taste as good. read more

Stopped by this place on a road trip home and they were pretty quick. You order from a piece of paper and take it to the counter where you pay. The paper didn't have an option for extra boba so I just told them to add it no problem! I tried the salmon poke bowl with brown rice and mostly everything on it. It was super yummy! I also tried the taro milk bubble tea with the extra boba . Great treat for a road trip. I might advise though that since this is in a little downtowny area I would be prepared to look for parking in case it's a busy weekend/day out. I have mixed feelings about this place but it's still pretty solid overall. The drinks are pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the food but I'm just super particular and pregnant. My partner said about the same though. The food is alright but the drinks were pretty good and I was satisfied with that. So I guess this rating is for the drinks. Sitting indoors is cool and the decor is cool. However it doesn't make sense that they have signs to not write on the column but it's already filled up basically. Not a fan of the customer service either but again the drinks were good. Also don't order from them on grub hub or anything... you'll never get the order and it's just a mess to deal with them and the whole mess and such. read more

Moar Tea is both the perfect spot to do a quick take-out lunch and meet friends for a meal! Great food and great atmosphere. I usually get a bowl with either crab or tofu. It is all fully customizable by filling out a little card with all of the choices. There so many topping and sauce possibilities! It is usually big enough to have leftovers as well, which I love for a snack later in the day! Also, this is my favorite spot to get boba in the city. Moar tea is my go to spot for some delicious, quality poke. I've taken friends here that live on the coast and are really impressed by the poke here! You get to create your own by filling out certain checkboxes on a slip that you hand to the server. I pretty much add everything, and I love the spicy tuna and salmon. This is one of my favorite restaurants! There is a lot of variety. I've included photos of the menu so you can see for yourself. You could get hundreds of different combinations. I will admit that I always get a "burrito" but I've seen the salad bowl and it looks amazing. The thing I like about Moar Tea is it is healthy. They use very fresh ingredients and for the most part it is whole, raw foods...and it's delicious! The teas I have tried are all great. The sesame milk tea is rich and I would call it a semi-comfort food. The fruit teas are refreshing and great on a summer day but also in the middle of winter. My favorite is the mango tea with mango jellies. I do love that jellies are made with agar agar so it's still vegetarian. It's a small restaurant with several booths, a long table and a couch. It's quiet and has a peaceful feel. Maybe that is because of the greenery. As far as ordering, you fill out a paper. It's similar to what you do at a sushi bar. You order at the register and staff call your name when your food and drink are ready. I've been in there a lot and the staff are friendly. Parking is a gamble but that's just how it is in that area. Unless you are there on a weekend night, you should be able to find parking somewhere close by. (If you have the Park Mobile app, you don't have to deal with the kiosks which is great if the weather is bad) It looks small on the outside and you might miss it because it is at the end of the block but make a point of checking it out if you like Asian fusion (that's what I consider it although that may not be technically true). Out of all of the Indy boba tea spots, this one takes the cake for me. I can honestly say that I have always had great drinks from Moar Tea. They have never disappointed. Everything is custom to you and your preferences. *Im pretty sure this is the only spot that is open late (they close at 10:30PM). I seem to crave boba late at night and they always have me covered. Located on Mass Ave with rows of colorful flag banners outside, this poke spot is a welcome addition to the downtown. The inside is cute and cozy - with intimate, wood booths, a table in the middle of the room, and a bar table against a window, so you can work/eat while watching the outside action. The first time we came here, we didn't quite know how to order. You get a paper checklist that you fill out with all the ingredients you want. There were some things we checked on our list that weren't possible on the type of food we were ordering (sushi burrito), so had to edit it a few times. Sushi burrito: So delicious! I got zucchini noodles, chicken, veggies, mangos and a yummy sauce (I think it was peanut). There are tons of options for toppings, meats, and sauces - so there's something here for everyone. Bubble tea: There's a long menu! Again, we checked a few things that they said couldn't go together, but we eventually figured it out and got the lavender honey bubble tea. It was sweet and delicious! Pro tip- if you order the large, it comes in a cool "light bulb" glass. However, the one down side is that there's no recycling bin here, so it felt really wasteful to throw away such a cool cup. Overall, I love that there's now a healthy food option on Mass Ave and am always in the mood for creating my own custom meal like this. The staff work quickly and you never have to wait super long. My daughters and I are loving this place for bubble tea and Instagramable photo opportunities in their booths. I haven't had a chance to try their food/bowls, but I've been here several times for bubble tea. My favorites are the honeydew and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee with boba (a caffeine boost + real tapioca boba). The prices for bubble tea are reasonable (just under $5 for a large) and smoothies are $5.25. Lower than the other local competitors for just as good, if not better, bubble teas. There isn't a ton of seating, but I'd say there is enough space to seat around 25-35 people. 3 of the booths can seat up to 6 people each, there is a couch and window seating for about 4 persons, another booth that seats around 8 people, and a few hightops. The booths have USBs outlets that are easily accessible, making this a nice place to set up a laptop. I dropped a star for the cleanliness and (permanent?) odor of the bathroom, not sure what was up with that as it wasn't matching the rest of the restaurant. read more

Personally, I just felt the need to inform you lovely citizens that if you want proper silverware with your food, you should bring your own. When I first walked in I expected more. This is my go-to delivery meal: healthy, fast, delicious. It's the perfect hangover food: lean protein, just enough salt in the sauces I choose, plenty of nourishing veggies. I always feel good after eating it, and the flavors meld beautifully in my mouth. They have a LOT of choice when it comes to ingredients, and everything is high-quality. They aren't generous with their fish (I choose the three protein so there's enough), but they do balance each dish nicely. As for the tea: also tons of choice. Types of tea, add-ons... it goes way beyond boba. (I don't even know what some of the choices are!) Worth exploring! read more
