The blazers and jackets immediately caught my eye, especially since that's exactly what I'm currently in the market for. I even found myself eyeing the bourbon in the back and thinking maybe I should finally treat myself to a new suit. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of being left alone versus being swarmed the moment I walk into a store. Great representatives know how to strike that balance perfectly. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Despite walking through the entire store, nearly every employee remained glued to their phones, with only one person even looking up to acknowledge my presence. It ultimately left me disappointed, not because I expect over-the-top attention, but because I genuinely appreciate a great suit shop and the experience that is supposed to come with it. A quality suit store has always been about more than just expensive jackets on a rack. The experience, professionalism, atmosphere, and attention to detail are just as much a part of what customers are paying for as the suit itself. Unfortunately, it feels like John and Craig has completely lost sight of that at this location. It's honestly a shame to see standards fall this far in an industry built around presentation, professionalism, and service. ---- Update: After posting this review, I was reached out to directly by Alan, and I do want to add that the response from him was immediate, professional, and sounded genuinely concerned. It actually gave me the impression that the goal of this organization truly is to provide a great customer experience and that, unfortunately, this particular visit simply was not their day to shine. Based on the way this was proactively handled, I have updated both my review and star rating to reflect that effort. I also plan to stop back in again when I get the chance, because first impressions matter, but so does the way a business responds when concerns are brought to their attention. I'm hopeful my next visit will better reflect the standards and experience this brand appears to strive for, and if it does, I will gladly update both my review and star rating accordingly.

Richard and his team were able to get me set up in a new tux, have it altered to fit perfectly along with a new shirt and ready to head out of town. The tuxedo felt and looked great. The place was hopping. The store is very well organized but like other people have stated some the aisles aren't wide enough for people to pass by but we managed. This day's colored tag was red and I only found 1 or 2 items that had them. Perhaps the best item I found were some paintings of Puerto Rico that were done on wood planks in the last 4 years and some sunglasses. The staff were nice and didn't mind chatting it up with you while cashing you out.

But they had a sales rack, amply stocked, that was 40% off. I bought a very nice skirt for work. They had the waist tailored for me and mailed it to me in North Carolina at no additional cost. My husband got a tailor-made men's shirt and a pair of light wool slacks that look like they were made just for him. This is the place to go to if you want to look great and have a great experience. I've been wearing clothing from both over the last 4-5 years in shirts and trousers and just find them to be the best for my daily casual wear. 5.11 Tactical offers great looking clothing that fits the needs of law enforcement, first responders, and perhaps in some cases, military personnel. I find their pants and shirts comfortable, with stretch material that gives breathing room as you wear them. I especially like the various types of trousers they offer as they have multiple pocket sets (in some cases even pockets within pockets) because it gives me the space to put some small camera gear when I'm out on YouTube video shoots or doing photography for myself or my channel. Now, you won't find suits for church here but I will say their pants and shirts are certainly good enough to wear when you attend church! It's my type of wear weekly. As for value, note that 5.11 is a specialty store, which means you will pay oftentimes above what you may expect. This shop does not offer military discounts, BUT I will say that you can find great deals when they have clearance sales. I left with a bundle during my visit. Also, if you are military, you can get 5.11 Tactical apparel at the Navy Exchanges at 20 percent off or on special occasions at 40 percent off. That is to say, there are still good ways to get deals on 5.11 clothing - it's how I purchase all of mine. In addition to shirts, trousers, and shorts, you can find excellent boots and reinforced shoes designed for law enforcement and first responders here. I'd like to get a pair for trail walking - I may do that soon! The service from the employees here on this day was excellent! They took time to answer all my questions and really believe in the product they sell. So stop by 5.11 Tactical and see what you think! Hard to believe if you can't find something you like here!
