I tried calling the number with no response and no voice mail, so I just figured I would swing by. I saw the small sign for Lea and assumed I had the place. I rang the door bell twice and knocked. About to leave, an older woman answers the door (assuming now this is the infamous Lea) and I ask if I have the Lea Bowman Alterations. She does not answer but frowns at me and asks if I have an appointment. I say that I do not and ask if I need one. No, "I'd love to work with you but I try to keep appointments" or "yes, unfortunately I can only see you with an appointment." She just stares and continues to frown at me and nods her head. I am a 35 year old professional woman who was dressed in work attire and she made me feel as though I was homeless and trying to steal her flowers! I was in shock at her response and demeanor. I just said, OK thank you, knowing full well I would NEVER want to work with this woman. There are so many hard working small business owners in Jacksonville Beach. Save yourself the insulting stares. Use someone else. The other's comment that she is "old world" must be code for she will be rude and condescending... try to look past it... ;-)

I needed one shirt cleaned and pressed on Saturday morning. They advertise same day service…read more I was told they Do Not run the machines on weekends. So same day as long as it's not a weekend. I left the shirt with a ticket for pickup Monday, after 4:00pm. I went in after 4:00pm Monday. I was greeted with rushed disrespect and informed how much trouble the woman who received my shirt experienced for taking one shirt. I said, "It does not mean I don't have more." Meaning I had more to bring in. I received a gruff response so I then said, "Then I won't be back." To which the reply was "That's fine." $3.97 for one shirt seems a little high considering the poor service and customer relations.

When I asked for a refund and a discussion on how they would rectify the damage, I was met with immediate hostility. No apology, no professionalism, just excuses and a refusal to take responsibility. It is clear that Ecowise has no interest in quality control or basic customer respect. They are happy to take your money, but they will not stand behind their work. Avoid this place at all costs.

I had been a loyal customer for several years at the laundry station bay meadows location. I didn't complain at the time because frankly didn't want to deal with what I assumed would be a hassle. However recently they completely ruined an expensive Ann Taylor skirt which had absolutely nothing wrong - after filling out a claim form and repeatedly stopping in the store as well as calling no ever called back or made any attempt to make it right after repeated promises by employees. This process went on for several months and I would never recommend them after that horrendous customer service run around experience. Lori
