The staff was polite and attentive upon drop off and pick up. The cost for the 4 items I dropped off actually ended up being fairly reasonable as well. I was just a bit concerned about that as I wasn't told upon dropping them off. I was given the option of how quickly these needed to be turned around. Overall a very good experience. Nothing to do with Herman Jackson's, but parking is always an adventure in San Marco and it would be nice if they had their own parking. It would also be nice to have an idea of what the cost was going to be before leaving the drop off but the fact that it was reasonable more than made up for that. Great place to use of you need a dry cleaner in Jacksonville. I recommend you give them a try.

I feel I was overcharged and scammed by the owner (male). On March 11, 2026, I dropped off six garments to be hemmed only (2 jumpsuits and 4 slacks). The owner asked me if I wanted the brand new garments "pressed." Before I could respond, he said "I press for you, no worries," while flailing one arm. I assumed he was gonna do it as a courtesy. He told me the items would be ready on March 30th and I would receive a phone call letting me know. No phone call was received. On April 2nd I called to inquire about my garments. I was told they were ready. Upon arrival, I was shocked (to say the least) when the owner told me my total was $197.00! For six hemmed garments. No other alterations. This man told me the hems cost $26/item, plus "pressing" costs $16.00/item. He OFFERED to press the garments. I didn't ask! After I complained, he gave me a 10% "discount." I paid $177.00 to have six items hemmed ONLY (plus the cost to press added). Three of the four pairs of slacks were TOO LONG. They were not hemmed properly, and two pair didn't even appear to have been hemmed at all. I AM UPSET, to say the least. My husband returned this morning, April 3rd, to confront him about the exorbitant pricing and was only offered a $16.00 refund for "pressing." I'm still out-of-pocket $152.00...for hemming six pants (unlined pants). I just never had a reason to. When I pick up it is always a lot of suits, about 80 dollars worth? I am not sure I am just sure I can never carry them all, It take between 3-5 trips to place them in my car. One day a week or two ago a man helped me. I said he didn't have to, but he was like it's a lot of clothes and it's my job to make customers happy and help. Anyways that man really made my day! I saw him just the other day and he apologized that he wasn't there earlier to help! He always asks how I am doing, just makes my day! I think he's a driver. Anyways thanks guys for cleaning my husbands clothes so I don't have to!
