After cleaning up the prodigious puddle and seeing the rusty leaking spot on the water heater I thought oh great.... I put in a service request through my home warranty company and was assigned to Upright Plumbing. Dallen called bright and early the next day and was able to come by a few hours later. He was able to answer all my questions about getting a replacement water heater thoroughly. A few hours of work and we had a brand spankin' new Ruud water heater all nicely hooked up with accompanying drip pan. Dallen was upfront about any extra costs and was very professional about the whole job. With our new water heater so far so good! I'm glad I didn't have to resort to taking cold showers this week. Thanks Dallen!

I'm so happy that I hired Veteran Handyman Services. From the very first call, the experience and…read morecommunication was excellent. I called on a Tuesday morning, Alan answered right away. He listened carefully to what I needed done and gave me an accurate quote over the phone. Due to having a sense of urgency in getting the project done, Alan got me scheduled the very next morning at 8:30 AM. Alan and Josh installed 3 ceiling fans and 5 crystal chandelier light fixtures. They showed up right on time, friendly, professional, and fully prepared with the proper tools and gear. I did not ask and did not expect, but they wore booties to protect my floors. They were extremely polite, careful, respectful and yet personable. Their attention to detail was outstanding. They precisely lined up three chandeliers in my main entrance hallway with precision, perfect spacing, and alignment. Josh even wore white gloves while carefully hanging each crystal one by one, which showed the level of care they put into their work. The ceiling fans, dimmer switches, and ceiling medallions were installed beautifully and created the dramatic, elegant look I was hoping for. What really stood out was their professionalism, communication, and honesty. The price Alan quoted over the phone remained exactly the same when the job was completed. The only increase was due to additional work I requested. They explained everything clearly before and after the work, which gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind. Any last-minute adjustments I requested were handled immediately, with no hesitation and always with a smile. They truly went above and beyond the original scope of work to make sure everything was perfect, and that level of service made me trust them and feel confident using them again for future projects. Working as a two-man team, they were efficient, knowledgeable, and supportive of each other to make sure everything was done correctly and on time. They clearly take pride in their work and offer top-notch handyman services at a very reasonable price. If you're looking for a reliable, trustworthy, prompt, and skilled handyman team, Alan and Josh are your guys! They can handle far more than just ceiling fans and chandeliers, and I will absolutely be hiring them again for future projects. Thank you again, Alan and Josh - You guys are the best!

I had some handyman projects, so I went online to search for highly rated handymen in my area. I…read morefound 5 of them -- two of them never responded to my inquiries, but three did. All three were responsive to my requests and all the pricing was pretty much in the same range. Veteran (Alan) was in the middle regarding the price he quoted, but I had a feeling that would be the best for us. I was obviously right. He was responsive to my multiple changing SOWs and on the day of the install, he showed up right on time with his son as his helper. The first day, he needed his son to help since I had an 85" TV to hang and also some pretty heavy wall mounted laundry room cabinets. He hung two TVs and installed the mounting brackets for me, and also installed 4 wall cabinets and 4 floor cabinets, along with a sink unit with plumbing. His estimate of time was spot on, and he took exactly the time he thought he might need to do the job. He was fast, efficient, courteous, cleaned-up after the job, and even took away the mountain of cardboard and packing materials that all the cabinetry and other stuff came in. I am a stickler for good customer service and for good work that you pay for, so if I say this guy is good, you can take that to the bank!! Postscript: I cannot believe he was so few reviews. I would think that everyone he works with would give him a good review. Also, as of this writing, he has two Yelp reviews that are not recommended. Why?? Those two reviews are 5-star reviews too and seem accurate and appropriate for what they say.

Thankfully, not like some horror stories I've heard, where the hot water heater floods the garage, but I reached out to Chris on Saturday afternoon to see if he could come replace it sometime during the week. Of course, this was the week of Thanksgiving, too. Chris responded right away. I was so impressed that he keeps pictures on file for such occasions as this. He pulled up my file and said he wasn't comfortable waiting until the workweek due to the way my hot water heater was set up. Waiting another day could cause tremendous headache, expense and problems. He said, I'll email you a quote and if that's satisfactory, I will be out first thing Sunday morning. WOW! I certainly didn't expect him to do that. I agreed on the quote, and he was here at 8:30 am. By midmorning I had a brand new water heater.
