Our aging (but still in good shape) Whirlpool fridge stopped working over a holiday weekend.  We…read morecalled Magic Master - found via google search - and hoped for the best.  They were able to send a tech that same business day, who arrived during the time window we were given.  Great experiance.  Tech was honest about what he saw, what he thought it might be, and what the different replacement parts would cost.  He had the part in his truck, and in about an hour our fridge was working again.  He also told us of a possible problem with our ice maker water line, and reminded us of maintenance (like cleaning the coils) that could keep our unit working longer. The tech came to downtown LA (dtla) without hesitation (which is very unusual).  We were impressed enough we provided their info to the buildings chat group and our property management company. Nothing but high praise  A+++

Said it was an issue with motor and belt ($60-100 in parts) and said $450 for the repair! After I told them I purchase the whole dryer for $450 they said ok we can do it for $400...LOL. That's crazy, doesn't even make sense. i told them I would just replace the dryer, what a waste of $89.

On Labor Day, September 7th, I stopped by Kim's Home Center with my Mom…read more This is a very old and well-known shopping center that has been around for a very long time. They carry all kinds of useful everyday products, many of which are imported from Korea. The store has two floors and sells everything from clothing and underwear to household items, beauty products, and many other practical things. My Mom has probably been here dozens of times, maybe even more than 100 times, over the years, and I've also been here many times myself. But surprisingly, this is my first time ever writing a review for this place! We went there this time because I was looking for a sports bra. My Mom highly recommended this store because she said Korean underwear tends to fit Korean body types better and is more comfortable. One of the things I really liked was that you can actually try on bras in the fitting room before buying them. The employee was very kind and helpful. She explained the different sizes and helped me choose which sports bra would work best for me. After trying on a few options in the fitting room, I found a sports bra that fit me perfectly and was very comfortable. I ended up buying two of them, one black and one beige. My Mom also wanted to buy a pair of underwear, so I purchased three items together. After that, we went downstairs to the first floor, where I bought a Korean hair-dye product that is apparently designed to be used almost like shampoo. I also ended up buying a pair of slippers to wear at home. My Mom also bought a Korean product called "Bal-eul Ssiseuja" ("발을 씻자") which I recommended to her. It has apparently become extremely popular in Korea recently. The funny thing is that I somehow ended up with three separate receipts that day! First, I paid separately for the sports bras. Then I bought the hair-dye product and checked out separately. Later, while looking around for household items, I suddenly thought, "Oh, should I buy a pair of slippers too?" So I bought those separately as well. This place is always extremely popular because they sell such a huge variety of useful everyday products and household items. Because of that, the parking lot is always very crowded. There is security staff helping direct cars in the parking lot, which is helpful. However, the lot is still pretty tight and busy. I'm especially not very good at parking in narrow parking spaces, so it was actually really convenient and relaxing to come with my Mom, who is an excellent driver and very good at parking. Overall, I had a really nice shopping trip here with my Mom. It's one of those places where you can always find something useful, even when you didn't originally plan on buying it!

Kim's Home Center is the OG Home Goods shop in Koreatown and I love it…read more They have a small parking lot which can fill up quickly but it's nice that they have one in KTown! Staff has always been friendly and kind, keeping in mind speaking Korean is helpful if you are looking for something specific. It's NOT necessary, just helpful. They have so many Korean focused products mostly in home goods like kitchen items, tons of bedding, rice cookers and kimchi fridges, but also things like makeup, skincare and clothes. Well priced house slippers with a lot of options! The entire second floor is electronics and more expensive goods, which I hear are not the best to buy here. I usually stick to cheaper items, more kitchen and cooking related needs at Kim's. They have a pretty strict return policy which I hear is a bit risky for more pricey items. I went in specifically for Makgeolli supplies and was so happy to find the pot & cups I needed, at nearly half the price of amazon! Support local stores instead of shopping online! I'm definitely a fan of Kim's Home Center and will come here for all my related needs in the future.

I show up and I speak to the proctor the proctor tells me no the lady that told you is wrong. I'm the proctor you don't need to pay for it until it's time to take the test so I already made a trip from Orange County all the way down to pico Rivera once to try and pay for this test then I go today to take my test just to be yelled at and told no they lied to you. We don't take through the test on Saturday so WTF make up your mind. Do you do it or not because two of your employees said yes this place is a bunch of lies a bunch of BS and they will not be having my business north through my 608 nor through my future business, I wish that they wouldn't be wasting peoples time the way they are complete and utter lack of respect.

Actually, the prices are better and the selection more specific (we got a circuit board that would otherwise have to have been ordered on-line). It's not in the best neighborhood and the parking is tight for commercial vehicles...or even Jeep Wranglers for that matter ;-) But its quick, convenient (relatively speaking), and competitive. For the DIY'er, this might be a little advanced, but for the seasoned maintenance director or contractor, it's a candy store of HVAC parts.
