I've been here twice and have enjoyed it but always room for improvements!…read more Pros: you have access to amenities all day including indoor pool, lounge area, sauna, steam room, showers. The massages are lovely! Both times I have gone my massage therapists have been amazing and I walk away fully relaxed! Cons: Towels in the women's bathroom are no where to be found. You have one in your locker (hopefully) and that's it! They don't have a rack of towels anywhere. Hooks are equally hard to come by. There is no place to hang your robe or clothes while you are in the showers or sauna. The quiet lounge area isn't that quiet. It's small and some don't really abide by the whisper zone. Overall, I would recommend as a local spot for an upgraded winter relaxation day!

I requested treatments at the desk, by phone and over email. They said they didn't know how to book them or perform them as all of the staff was new. Do not come here. I had been coming here for over 20 years. After their management changed, the location went downhill quickly. I go to another local spa that is much better. With all of the spas in the area, I recommend going to any of the other ones.

Yesterday, I had my second massage post 4 months of liposuction. The experience has been strange and rewarding at the same time. It is strange in a positive way because they follow very different modalities of massage for surgical patients. I was not prepare for how intense the first massage was since I had been receiving the usual manual lymphatic massage. David, my massage therapist, was very welcoming and explained the purpose of the different techniques. Another rewarding experience was the ability of being able to be fitted for a compression garment. David made sure that I purchased the right garment for me. After spending so much money on compression garments on the internet, the price was very reasonable. Overall, I would highly recommended the spa for any post cosmetic surgery patients.

I was assigned Boris and I was a bit nervous as I had never had a man do my facials but let me tell you he will be my go to guy as well as this Spa. It was beautifully decorated and the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful and she was gorgeous not in intimidating way lol wish I could remember her name. Anyway the waiting area was so warm and inviting and their Holiday decor which was still up was stunning. Everything was cleaner than a hospital. Everyone smiled and said hello as they walked by which eased my nerves. Boris was amazing his hands were so gentle and his conversation was welcoming and I enjoyed our chat very much. My skin was glowing amazingly after. His recommendations for cleanser and moisturizer were on point. Most importantly he wasn't pushy nor salesy. Will definitely be back in the Spring for my springtime facial and may try one of their many other services as well! Highly recommend!!

I found Clarins while doing some online research; I'd never been there before and I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience! At first I had trouble figuring out where the facial would actually take place since Clarins is on the main floor of Bloomingdales. But low-and-behold there's a room tucked away near the makeup area that's quiet and peaceful. Danielle was my aesthetician. She was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. All the products she used smelled and felt divine, and I walked away with beautiful looking skin! She made me a Clarins convert, for sure. I'm so glad I discovered Clarins and I'll definitely be back!

Well, when she had me look in the mirror, I wasn't sure I was looking at *my* face at first. My skin was flawless- and a week later, (after 2 flights!)it still looks awesome. I asked her if I could bring her home with me! The products she uses smell divine and she explains every step as she goes. Even the dreaded extractions were entirely bearable and immediately soothed. I had always heard horror stories about redness for days after a facial and was a little concerned about that, but there was not any redness at all. My skin has been so fresh looking that I haven't bothered using my everyday makeup. I also got a lash tint- something I never knew I needed til now. It makes me look awake even when I feel dead to the world. As for the spa itself, it's quaint and tastefully decorated. There is fresh water and coffee or tea available, along with magazines to peruse while you wait. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You will be in good hands while visiting Balance Day Spa and you'll leave feeling relaxed and fresh. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular.

Borod Spa had been sitting on my lap every single time I go to my fave eatery in White Plains- until I had to face the music and make that appointment back in the Fall of '21. Borod S. looks like it used to be a home some time ago and now has two businesses in one location with a Beauty/Nail Salon on main floor and Borod on 2nd and 3rd floors. The Spa's waiting room is set in light olives, creams and some light wood touches here and there. The lights are dim- but not too dim. There's a window facing Central Avenue giving nice burst of sun. The music is soothing. Borod S. has the slightest hint (very slight) of lavender in the air. The joy of joys, I'm at the spa. Some spa rooms have white walls and can get boring, fast- but not at Borod. The few rooms are classic and clean with a minimalist and refreshing feel. Borod's owner Diana has been doing my facial treatments with ultra care and the sofffffftest hands when I come here. You can book online or call to reserve- though I highly don't think you'll be seen as a walk-in in the spur of the moment- so definitely go with the first two options. Prices for some items are reasonable, they may seem slightly up there- but it's the extra little touches that she uses at the end of your session- like applying some sunscreen or other lotions before heading out the door.
