I'm happy to report that everything was delicioso and the service, friendly. There was a bit of a delay when we got there. While there was someone in the truck, they called for someone from the house to come out and we had to wait for her arrival. My guess is they expected that we only spoke English and the older lady spoke Spanish. Aside from that, we were happy with everything. The lettuce and avocado were very fresh and the food was flavorful and tasted like what I grew up with. We will definitely be back.

They reminded me of the pickled veggies you get on a bánh mì sandwich, just without being overly vinegary. Honestly, if they ever made a brisket bánh mì sandwich using those pickled onions and veggies, it would probably be amazing! My husband always gets the brisket sandwich and loves the onions and pickles with it too. The location is tucked away down a small, rough-looking road near some duplexes. First, let's talk about the location. It's tucked down a bumpy road between two duplex apartments. I know "tenderism" is trending all over social media right now, but this right here is the real deal!! It was so incredibly soft. For my side, I got the potato salad. In other words, it's best to get it to go. I got a sampling of their wares and was very pleased with the outcome. The brisket had a definite smoke ring and was extraordinarily tender. The sausage was not greasy and had a firm skin and very smoky essence permeating the meat. The half chicken was also very juicy with just enough pepper to make it pop. The ribs were fall off the bone sticky delicious. This place has the barbecue equation down very well, the only thing they lack is amenities. They'll wrap it up in foil and paper for you, but don't expect a plate, napkins or cutlery. One other thing that was noticeably absent was the fact that they do not have any barbecue sauce, but then again it doesn't really need it. The prices are pretty much in line with what you expect to pay for barbecue these days, but at least there was no tip screen waiting for you at the end. If you find yourself driving through Barlett, I would highly recommend stopping in and grabbing some of their smoked meats. However, one thing to keep in mind is the fact that they're only open on Saturday and Sunday from 11 till 330. They also have a food truck in the town of Jarell that's open Friday through Sunday.
