I needed to have an EV charging station installed and saw the good reviews for TrueServe Electric. I asked them to come out for an estimate. John McGee was very quick to respond and schedule a time to have someone come out for the estimate, that fit my schedule. The service technicians Rey and Will came out at the agreed upon time and walked me through the whole estimate/process. The previous owners of my home had completed work that wasn't exactly up to code so the estimate was higher than I had anticipated BUT Rey and Will explained everything needed, gave me options and were even able to utilize some existing infrastructure to keep costs down. The day the work was to be completed, Rey, Will and another technician Jorge showed up on time and had the whole job completed quickly and efficiently and to be honest it far exceeded my expectations. The technicians were very polite, informed and honestly great guys. I cannot recommend this company and these technicians enough. The charger works amazingly and I feel safer knowing the work was completed correctly and inspected with proper permits by the city. The best of the best! We needed an original hi ceiling fan replaced. I've changed out low ceiling fans myself but at this stage of my life I do not need to be climbing ladders and trying to install a fan. I asked for recommendations and at the top of the list was TrueServe here in Midlothian. They did a fantastic job for us! While at our home I was telling Jon about my neighbor almost having a fire in his breaker box. My neighbor was about to leave his home but went back inside to hear a pop and seeing smoke coming from the breaker box. What they found was a pile of dead geckos piled up on the original breakers behind the wall. I asked Jon to take a look at ours, as it is the original 40 plus year old box. He did and he suggested updating the box and add a surge protector along with other updated gear. These things wear out and it is good practice to have them inspected and updated. Jon was great and incredibly smart! I had a very complex EV charger installation in a multi-unit home. I had spoken to several bigger companies before, and most said that they couldn't do the installation due to the complexity of the situation and wiring system. The one company that accepted said that it would be very complicated and quoted me an extremely high price. Luckily, I came across Jon who took one look at my electrical system and quickly figured out a way to modify it so that an EV charger could be easily installed. He installed the charger in just a few hours, and saved me literally thousands of dollars in doing so. It's been a few weeks and I haven't had any issues. Oncor was requiring an inspection before they would hook up power to a rental house in Arlington. I'm out of state, so I went to Yelp to find an electrical contractor.
