THE MOST PRECIOUS UPDATES FROM STAFF

My pet has been hospitalized multiple times and has been under the care of Dr. Maya Lottati for years since being diagnosed with IMHA. I truly can't put into words how incredibly grateful I am for this facility. This team has saved my pup's life at least five times over the past couple of years. Every single staff member is exceptional at what they do. From Dr. Beymar to Dr. Nordeldt, to all of the dedicated DAs, everyone here is compassionate, skilled, and genuinely cares. If you're debating where to take your pet, don't overthink it, bring them straight to TrueCare. I've had nothing but amazing experiences here, and my dog actually loves coming in, like he's going to the park. That alone says everything about how well they treat him!!!! Archuk 100% approved of TrueCare!!!

Although I had a heartbreaking experience of not leaving the hospital with my girl, I wanted to share gratitude towards the team and a big shoutout to Dr. Louderback who handled the end of life stage so well. She also sent a card home with sincere regards. While the wait to initially get her seen did take hours, I'd like people to understand the circumstances the staff faces as well and remind everyone to be patient. They truly did their job and beyond. I thankfully have pet insurance so a portion of my bill was reimbursed, but because it was an emergency and she stayed a little over 24 hours, the costs were higher than I'm used to but worth it for my sweet angel. It was also reasonable and they discuss treatment plans to see if there are options to cut the cost. Thank you for continuing to do your best as a team to help these babies! It's greatly appreciated.

My husband and I have been here twice, once to get emergency kitten milk replacement, which they thankfully had and didn't charge an arm and a leg for it. Everyone even came out to see our tiny little Baby Wolf kitten, she was the star of the show that night. The second time we went was for another emergency, our 4 week old kitten Baby Wolf was not responsive. Unfortunately she didn't make it, they did what they could. TrueCare for pets showed us so much compassion and care. They are probably the kindest and most respectful people I have ever encountered at a pet hospital. They remembered us and Baby Wolf from the first visit. This is essentially now our go to for any of our pet emergencies. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone in the surrounding area. We love these guys and they will show so much love to your pets as well!

We brought our dog to TrueCare because it was the only 24-hour veterinary clinic available. Our dog was vomiting blood in the middle of the night, which was terrifying and clearly an emergency. While they were quick to take our payment--over $1,000 for bloodwork and probiotics--the rest of the experience was extremely frustrating. We waited over six hours just to receive bloodwork results. After finally getting our discharge papers around the five-hour mark, it took another full hour for them to bring our dog out so we could leave. What added to our concern was the lack of clarity and consistency around the treatment provided. We were told our dog was given fluids, which typically means an IV was placed, especially alongside bloodwork. However, when our dog was returned to us, there was no shaved area, no bandage, and no visible sign that an IV had ever been placed. This raised serious questions for us about what care was actually administered. Throughout the night, communication was minimal, updates were scarce, and there was no explanation for the excessive delays. I understand emergency clinics can be busy, but when you're dealing with a pet who is actively vomiting blood, this level of waiting and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I'm grateful that emergency care existed, but the inefficiency and poor communication about treatment made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this clinic unless there are absolutely no other options.

Whom It May Concern, My name is Evangelina Garcia, and I am filing a formal complaint regarding the conduct of True Care for Pets, located at 11730 Ventura Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 91604, following the emergency hospitalization of my dog, Marley, on July 7 2025, for accidental ibuprofen toxicity. I believe this facility engaged in exploitative billing practices and failed to act in accordance with fair and transparent financial procedures, causing both emotional distress and financial harm during a crisis. I paid apx: 840 upfront under emotional duress to begin Marley's treatment. However, during Marley's care, have made multiple payments accumulating to aprox $7,951 and today 7/16 I was informed that I would now need to pay an additional $8,000 immediately to continue life-saving measures. Unable to afford the additional bill, I was pressured to surrender Marley, a devastating decision no pet owner should be forced into during an emergency. I have documented evidence to support this complaint, including: All of their calls are recorded and could be subpoenaed All text message between my number and 818-760-3882 starting 7/7 till 7/16 A 12-minute screen recording of all text correspondence (screenshot attached), in which I attempted to clarify the situation and was provided no meaningful support or accountability. Text messages, photo documentation, and video evidence, all time-stamped, showing communication breakdowns, unethical billing escalation, and a lack of transparency regarding Marley's condition and treatment options. Unfair billing practices Financial coercion in a medical emergency Poor coordination Marley was a beloved family member, not just a pet. I am devastated by the experience and feel I was placed in an unethical situation where financial pressure overrode care and compassion. I want my puppy back! I respectfully ask that you: Investigate the billing and financing practices of True Care for Pets Evaluate whether the financial escalation, pressure to surrender, and lack of transparency violated consumer protection laws and regulations Take appropriate action to prevent other pet parents from suffering a similar fate I am prepared to provide all supporting documentation (video, photos, call logs, messages, receipts) upon request or upload. Sincerely, Evangelina

This review is coming a month later, but is still well-deserved! I woke up one morning and noticed a foam substance on my rug and had no idea what it was. Later that morning I heard one of my cats coughing up (what I thought was) a hairball. I came out to check on her and noticed a white foamy substance instead. She didn't seem well, was not her usual, mischievous self; she was lethargic and recluse. When I tried to pick her up, she protested when I touched her belly. I immediately knew something was amiss. Unfortunately, it was too early to take her in to her regular vet, so I frantically searched Yelp to find the closest pet hospital. TrueCare popped up, and after a few moments scrolling through their reviews, I felt confident I could trust them with my fur baby. After I called them and appraised them of the situation, they calmly encouraged me to bring her in. I put her in her carrier, and zipped over. I was immediately greeted with warm and helpful service. After a 10 minute wait a tech took her back to be examined. Another 10 minutes later, a different tech came out with a list of standard procedures that they would likely do to further assess my fur baby's needs. They quoted me on the higher end, so I would know what to expect but also reminded me that based on each assessment, more or less may need to happen. The tech was patient, kind, and capable of answering all questions! After 30 minutes, the vet brought us back into an exam room and gave us the diagnosis: gastroenteritis. As this was the first time my fur baby experienced anything like this, they were hopeful with a bland diet and slow-reintegration of her normal food and play, she would be fine. And, indeed, she was; not two days later, she was back to her usual self (mischievous and playful). They cautioned me to keep an eye out for changes in the first week, and ongoing. Seems like a reasonable precaution. The bill was hefty, but insurance took care of most of it. The service, care, and patience was definitely worth the pay. While I hope I never have to take my fur baby back to the hospital again, I know if I have to, TrueCare for Pets is where I'll go.

It's been two months since we lost our beloved Dori, and I feel this review is long overdue. The team at TrueCare for Pets was truly heaven-sent I've never met a group of people more dedicated to doing their absolute best for their patients. TrueCare was on the list of recommended oncology vets for Dori's chemotherapy. Even though there was another clinic just 15 minutes from us, it felt too corporate for us. From the moment we met Dori's oncologist, Dr. Koo, we felt incredibly comfortable. She never hesitated to share her knowledge with us and did everything she could to tailor Dori's treatment to her specific needs. The entire team could see how deeply we loved our "little chicken," and they returned that love to her tenfold. Dori was usually anxious about vet visits, but not at TrueCare she would storm in with confidence, excited to see her friends. That says everything about the care and comfort she felt there. Dori fought bravely for 1 year and 4 months and crossed the rainbow bridge in my arms. We also entrusted TrueCare with her aftercare, and even in our grief, we were treated with so much kindness, compassion, and respect. To Dr. Koo, thank you for giving Dori the very best of your expertise and heart. And to the entire TrueCare team, thank you for treating our girl like one of your own. To anyone reading this review and trying to decide on an oncology team: TrueCare isn't cheap "cancer treatment never is" but if you have the means, I can't recommend them enough. They will walk with you and your pet every step of the way.

Is this a 24/7 emergency vet? If I needed to bring my dog at (let's say) 3am, would they be open to help? My current emergency vet is no longer open after 8pm so I am looking for a different place.

Yes, they are 24/7 and they are AMAZING! So kind, compassionate, and helpful. The facility itself is also the nicest emergency vet or regular vet office I've ever been to. I highly recommend!

I'm not sure but Studio City Animal Hospital does.

I don't think it does, but they are very nice and professional, and I'm sure they will take good care of your pet!!!

Do you have a Dermatologist on staff?

No. There is no dermatologist at TrueCare. There is an internal medicine department, surgery department and radiation oncologist in addition to the ER service.

I understand that my dog can be difficult but.. a. consent. b. tell me what's going on! i could have just went home and came back when he was ready if the lady did her job instead of gossiping and laughing with her coworkers. I can understand and forgive many circumstances but this isnt the way to keep the repeat business. our insurance carrier paid about 15k for a few visits. I also saw a poor old lady who was charged 5k to diagnose her dying cat and I had to translate for her. No matter how much I tried to help they wouldnt budge. She couldnt believe that. Their level of care, medical attention & affordability are unparalleled. This place was referred to me and I'd love to pay it back by writing this review. I'm grateful beyond measure for all their efforts, and as we all well know... It Takes a Village. I'd like to thank some of the heroes in this one. Thanks to: Rashit, Fritz, Orion, Louisa, Dolores, Lily, Gary, the pharmacy and especially to the amazing and talented Dr. Cha. I hope I'm not forgetting anyone, because everyone there is part of the dream team. My story is also a successful one, so I won't go into great detail. I've only shared here about the quality of my experience. I encourage you to read for yourself, and to build your own with them. I believe that you'll come to the same conclusion that all of us have. I couldn't be happier to have them along on my pet's journey back to health. Thank you We are truly one of your biggest fans. Sophie and family

Back here to write much deserved review for Dr. Dhillon, Mr. Serge, Dr. Salpi, and the whole…read moreMcGrath team! Since my last review (where our dog Peanut had a near-fatal overdose of dark chocolate and was saved by Dr. Salpi and team)... we've had a few more unfortunate emergency run-ins with our precious pit bull. First, our doggy was attacked in our own home and while she did her best to put up a fight and protect me... she was left very badly wounded. The hospital was nearly closing and Dr. Salpi immediately washed her wounds and gave the clearance for an emergency surgery next AM with Dr. Dhillon (who very kindly squeezed us in during his hectic work day). Turns out washing the wounds immediately just as Dr. Salpi did helped prevent very serious infections! The surgery was a great success and this staff treated Peanut like their very own. They gave her so much love, care, lots of hugs and kisses and frequently updated me on her recovery. We wanted to wait a few months until Peanut healed to spay her (as my husband and I had heard about pyometra risk)... low and behold the same month we had planned her spay surgery, Peanut had life-threatening pyometra. We could tell she was off and brought her in as soon as possible... Dr. Dhillon once again went above and beyond in her surgery. He even stayed extra to make sure we could squeeze her in before it was too late (and before she went into sepsis). So Peanut got prophylactic antibiotics before her surgery. This was something she tolerated well in the past but apparently the second exposure could have a reaction (which Peanut did). I am told she had very severe anaphylactic shock to the antibiotic, had a seizure and the staff feared her life. All the staff there that day teamed together in "code" fashion to give her supportive care and bring her back to. They monitored her very closely and ensured she was a-okay updating me thoroughly after this incident. It felt so good to know my previous angel was in the absolute best hands. Not only is this team highly professional and caring, I am certain they deeply care for each and every one of our babies like their own. I am so glad and thankful I found this place because it saved my Peanut's life not once... not twice... but three times now in very unfortunate freak accidents. Peanut must've been a cat in another life because so far she's had 9 lives thanks to McGrath Vet center and this team. And I promise we have a watchful eye on her, she's just got a lot of bad luck this year :( she is now thriving (prep fairy costume) we love you Peanut! We love you Dr. Dhillon, Dr. Salpi, Dr. McGrath and the whole team at McGrath vet. Thanks a million!!!

Visited Glendora Emergency initially out of concern of the low Yelp rating for Access. Glendora did the bloodwork and X-rays, and prescribed metronidazole. The first 5 days on the med suggests she's getting better. However, the symptoms returned a week later and she stopped eating for 3 days. We then visited Access. Same initial process (bloodwork, X-ray). Finding nothing, and to pursue the root cause, ultrasound is suggested as it's the next step in the process. Like many I was hesitant at first. Symptoms continued so I brought her back the next day for IV treatment and ultrasound. Early evening I contacted Access and was expecting another diagnostic recommendation. But to my suprise they identified the root cause, acute pancreatitis. I was so relieved and grateful for their efforts. I thought the metronidazole caused my pet to stop eating, but the Dr took a bigger picture approach and was able to ID the root cause. Appetite enhancer, pain med, and probiotics were prescribed. And in both visits, refunds were issued for some of the estimates which was already paid. This demonstrates some level of honesty and integrity. Within a week, the symptoms began to subside. The stool went from black to brown, watery to soft and now solid. No more vomits or pain. The experience improved my perspective and opinion on vets. Yes, you may find out what the issue is through googling, but they still have a process to follow to identify and confirm the issue. In the end, it's all worth it.

The doctor was very compassionate in giving us choices but very carefully and lovingly said it was a hard decision but most likely time. When she kept having them, I instinctively knew it was going to be time to help her cross the rainbow bridge. As many rescues that we've had and have helped to cross the bridge, I can honestly say it never gets easier. It never hurts less to make that decision, but it helps when the staff is so compassionate. I love you Bon Bon, and I'm going to miss you. Thank you to everyone at Access Pasadena for your compassion during this difficult time.
