I cannot express my gratitude enough for the team at TrueCare. My 15 year old cat was struggling to breath when we arrived. The moment I walked in they called for someone in the back to come take him to check him immediately; they then spent 14 hours rescuing him. They discussed treatment plans/options with compassion and understanding. Dr Farrell, I later discovered, stayed well past her shift helping monitor him. Stacy was able to get an IV line into him when I was ready to give up. They not only took care of my pet but they reached out to care for me-offering blankets (Clarissa!), tissues and coffee/water as well as comfort. Thank you to all of the unnamed team who helped send our old man home with a little more time. My cat has digestive issues and we have been a frequent flyer at True Care, we should probably get a punch card so we can get the next visit free :) Most recently, my menace of a cat chewed on an eggplant leaf and we had to go in. When I got there, vet techs were waiting for me. Some of them took her back, and one took my story on what happened, and her symptoms. I had to call Pet Poison Line so they could tell the vets how to treat her-that's fine-and they wanted to do a full workup on her since she is 12. I said that's fine, that's what insurance is for. It was about 11pm when I was sent home to rest while they took care of her. At about two, they called me to tell me that she survived the nightshade poisoning, but they had found a thicker spot in her intestines in the x-ray, and they wanted to do follow-up images in the morning, so I got another estimate for them to keep her til the next day and run another round of x-rays and do an ultrasound. She stayed and I went back to sleep. In the morning, a very kind vet whose name I don't remember called me and went over what is happening and why that spot could be there. She gave me advice on how to proceed after today. She asked what food my cat eats so they could give it to her there too. I was kept in the loop the whole time from when I got there to when I picked her up at 4:30pm. It set me back about $3500. Thank God for pet insurance. But considering all they did and the overnight stay, not terrible. My cat's idiocy may have saved her bacon if we caught something early, but so did True Care's thoroughness. read more

Extremely disappointed with True Care for Pets. Their customer service has been absolutely terrible. Calls are rarely returned, communication is almost nonexistent, and getting something as simple as a prescription refill has turned into a nightmare. My dog depends on his medication to eat properly, yet I was told I now need to pay for another doctor's appointment just because the previous veterinarian left over a year ago -- something they never bothered to properly communicate to pet owners. How is that acceptable? To make matters worse, they don't even have appointments available until mid-July. So what exactly are patients supposed to do in the meantime? Wait until their pets are seriously suffering just to be seen and get medication they already rely on? There seems to be a complete lack of urgency, compassion, and accountability. I've taken two of my pups here, one for emergency testing and another was referred here by her oncologist for radiology. Everyone has been absolutely incredible every time. Kind, supportive, attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better experience every time I have gone. They are pricey, yes, but honestly, I felt SO taken care of, and felt my dogs were in the absolute best hands at times when I was so exhausted and distraught, that it is absolutely worth worrying about finances later. I can't tell you how thankful I am knowing there are such incredibly skilled and caring experts in my area that are open 24 hours and have specialty departments. This organization may claim that its poor reviews are due to the high cost of its services, but I can assure you that cost had absolutely nothing to do with my experience. I brought my dog here while she was suffering from a seizure. The veterinary team was able to bring her out of the seizure, but afterward her temperature dropped very low. I am not a veterinarian, and in an incredibly frightening and vulnerable moment, I was relying on the doctor to explain what was happening, what the possible causes were, and what options we had. Instead, the veterinarian made an already terrifying situation exponentially worse. She told me she was "almost positive" that my dog's cancer had spread to her brain and, because of the length of the seizure--which I repeatedly acknowledged I could not accurately measure--she believed it was unlikely that my dog's brain function would return to normal. What disturbed me most was the pressure I felt to make an immediate, life-altering decision. I was not encouraged to give my dog time to recover from the immediate effects of the seizure, nor did I feel that other possible causes were adequately explored. Bloodwork was not even performed before I was being pushed to decide what to do next. Hearing the words "almost positive" and "brain cancer" from a veterinarian carries enormous weight. I was overwhelmed, terrified, and made to feel as though there was virtually no hope and no time to consider our options. I have had to make extremely difficult medical decisions for human beings before, and I have never encountered a doctor who made me feel as anxious, pressured, and unsupported as I felt here. If I could give this veterinarian negative stars, I would. My criticism has nothing to do with the cost of emergency veterinary care. It is about the way an extremely vulnerable pet owner was communicated with and pressured during one of the most frightening moments of her life. read more

I had the best experience. I went in at 9pm on a Thursday with my baby dog who is 14 with a possible bee sting and limping. They took her in right away and within 20 minutes we were out the door. The people in the front were so kind and welcoming and made us feel like we were in great hands. The vet techs were so sweet too and since it was just a thorn they took out right away, they didn't charge us for an exam! I've been here on at least 5 different occasions over the years and it's always been a positive experience. Everyone is always very thorough, kind, patient and attentive. My last visit, I was particularly impressed and felt compelled to write this review. My dog was in distress & I was afraid she could have ingested poison. I called from the car and asked them to meet me at the back door, to help carry her inside. There was absolutely no waiting, or needing payment before taking her from me. Luckily she wasn't poisoned, in all likelihood she ate a 7oh gummy & ended up needing to be hospitalized for two days. They stayed in communication by phone and text throughout and even sent a few photo updates. I really appreciated that they asked me to come in and spend time with her twice, to give my own assessment. They wanted to make sure that her persistent agitation and distress wasn't just from being in the hospital (which it wasn't). It became clear to me on multiple occasions, that they were trying to be conservative to help save on expenses. I've had plenty of experiences elsewhere, where they start by pushing for the higher end of the care spectrum and price range. Instead of keeping her in a crate the whole time, they let her visit with them in their back office, resting with blankets and listening to soothing music, to help calm her. I really feel they went above and beyond to give her additional needed TLC and not just medical treatment. During one of my visits with her, the vet took the time to walk around outside with us, so we could properly assess her status together. My girl voluntarily cut the walk short, made a beeline back to the hospital and was happy to leave me and return to the treatment area. She obviously felt very safe and happy there. When it came time to go home, instead of automatically handing me meds with a bill, they pointed me towards Amazon, which saved me $65. No body wants to have to deal with hospitals and huge vet bills, but I'm very grateful to have True Care nearby if I need them! read more

When our primary vet exhausted their options and couldn't further help with our miniature schnauzer's GI issues, we were presented with seeing an internal medicine referral. Luckily, we chose Dr. Lottati because she has been such a blessing for our boy! She is so incredibly caring and attentive. She always takes the time to talk through all the options, responds to all our emails and is always curious about how he is doing. Without her, our boy probably would not be here today. Thank you so much to Dr. Lotatti!! More recently, our dog has also been taking the melanoma immunotherapy with the oncologist, Dr. Koo who also has been an amazing doctor. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with True Care. Our golden retriever developed a cancerous tumor in his nose. After multiple consults (as ridiculous as it sounds, even in other states), we determined that True Care had the best treatment plan. They quickly got us in for surgery. Everyone we spoke to, whether in person or on the phone, was professional, friendly and kind. However, what has stood out the most is their communication. From techs, to the surgeon, from phone calls to text messages to emails to pictures, we were kept up to date on every single step. Any concerns I had were immediately responded to with a plan in place. Our dog is doing very well and should be able to live out his life cancer free thanks to True Care and Dr. Tallant. read more

STAY AWAY! I was shocked by this experience. A friend's dog developed swelling inside his mouth and became seriously ill. Before any definitive diagnosis or treatment, my friend was presented with an estimate of more than $12,000, which did not even include the surgery that might ultimately be required. I understand that emergency veterinary care is expensive and that advanced imaging such as CT scans can be medically appropriate. What was missing was a clear explanation of why less expensive diagnostic options were not appropriate first, or any meaningful discussion about prioritizing tests based on medical necessity and financial limitations. The most upsetting part was the hospital's insistence on payment before moving forward. The owner was out of the country and unreachable, so staff repeatedly contacted me asking if I would pay on his behalf. I explained that my credit card had a limit and could only cover part of the estimate. Instead of working with us, they immediately sent me an invoice for the maximum amount I said my card would allow. We were also told that because the owner could not be reached, they could not proceed with the recommended care. Families facing a medical emergency with a beloved pet deserve transparency, compassion, and clear communication--not to feel like the first priority is securing payment. In my opinion, this hospital relied heavily on "policy" while showing very little flexibility or empathy during an incredibly stressful situation. Finances were prioritized over helping a ill animal. Although I had a heartbreaking experience of not leaving the hospital with my girl, I wanted to share gratitude towards the team and a big shoutout to Dr. Louderback who handled the end of life stage so well. She also sent a card home with sincere regards. While the wait to initially get her seen did take hours, I'd like people to understand the circumstances the staff faces as well and remind everyone to be patient. They truly did their job and beyond. I thankfully have pet insurance so a portion of my bill was reimbursed, but because it was an emergency and she stayed a little over 24 hours, the costs were higher than I'm used to but worth it for my sweet angel. It was also reasonable and they discuss treatment plans to see if there are options to cut the cost. Thank you for continuing to do your best as a team to help these babies! Our morkie was throwing up blood and having stomach issues. We live in Pasadena and called several emergency vet offices, but most were either at capacity or had 5-10 hour wait times. Finally, we found TrueCare in Studio City, who said it would be about a two-hour wait. The drive was easy, parking was simple (especially at 1:00 a.m.), and from the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly faces and seen immediately. There happened to be two staff members in the lobby when we walked in, and as soon as they saw us, they didn't hesitate--they took our little one right away. We were given clear options and diagnoses, and after some bloodwork and IV fluids, we went home with medication. Our baby is now doing great thanks to the amazing team! Everything went smoothly--from the initial phone call and warm reception to the care from the vet, techs, and assistants. Dr. Min, Courtney, Tre, Stacy, and Dannie were all incredible. I hope I'm not forgetting the two gentlemen at the front desk that night! We checked in on 10/18/25 at 1 a.m. and were out a couple of hours later. The facility was spotless, and I even enjoyed a complimentary latte from their vending machine. I recently took my 7-year-old chocolate Lab to TrueCare for Pets for a paw injury. After the exam, I was presented with a treatment estimate of just over $2,000. While reviewing the breakdown, I noticed several added charges, including a blood collection fee and an estimated $150-$250 for take-home medications. When I questioned the costs, I was told their pricing was standard for an emergency facility. I ultimately declined treatment and paid the $158 exam fee. I then went to Affordable Animal Hospital just a few minutes away. Their exam fee was $60, and the total bill--including sutures and take-home medications--came to $594. It's hard to understand how two walk-in veterinary clinics in the same area can have such dramatically different pricing for similar care. read more

My husband and I have been here twice, once to get emergency kitten milk replacement, which they thankfully had and didn't charge an arm and a leg for it. Everyone even came out to see our tiny little Baby Wolf kitten, she was the star of the show that night. The second time we went was for another emergency, our 4 week old kitten Baby Wolf was not responsive. Unfortunately she didn't make it, they did what they could. TrueCare for pets showed us so much compassion and care. They are probably the kindest and most respectful people I have ever encountered at a pet hospital. They remembered us and Baby Wolf from the first visit. This is essentially now our go to for any of our pet emergencies. Only a handful of times in my life have I felt compelled to write a negative review, but I have not been able to shake how terrible my experience at this place made me feel. Late Monday night, I came home to my beloved, previously healthy 4-year-old cat, who had dropped dead of what I suspect was a heart attack. It was a complete shock, and I had no idea what to do. I called TrueCare for Pets as it was the only vet in my area open, and the experience I had with Priscilla left me appalled and made an already traumatic night even worse. On the phone, there was nothing to the tune of "I'm sorry for your loss" or any kind of basic empathy. When I asked what my options for an autopsy were, she was entirely too excited to correct me about the correct terminology and, after I shared that I can't afford a $6,000 bill for likely no definitive cause of death (which, by the way, is not accurate to anything I could find on Google), she rushed me through the steps for cremation and memory making. The phone call was so bizarrely cold that it made me wonder if I was talking to someone who even likes animals. After that negative experience, I would not have brought my cat in at all if it weren't the only option. After arriving at the office, I was shooed into a back room. While I was saying goodbye to my cat, Priscilla poked her head in and gleefully said, and I quote, "Good news!" that the cost of the cremation I had been quoted on the phone was actually about $25 less. What a relief, after my healthy, young cat has dropped dead, and I am met with no empathy by the veterinary office that I am trusting with her body, that I will save the cost of an average meal on her ashes. I hate to tone police, but Priscilla's inflection from start to finish was more akin to the school mean girl catching up on some hot gossip, not walking a bereaved pet owner through an incredibly difficult time. I don't know what kind of training TrueCare for Pets does for its employees regarding handling pet owner bereavement, or basic humanity, for that matter, but I could not have been more appalled by my treatment. There are limited options for late-night vet care, but if you have the means to take your pet anywhere else, especially after they have passed away, do it. This is not the place to go if you're hoping for warmth and understanding in a time of need. read more

My dog was unfortunately diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on Christmas Eve, and our primary vet referred us to TrueCare for treatment. While the circumstances that brought us here were very stressful, we had a great experience with the hospital overall. We meet first with Dr. Tallant who was incredibly kind and thoroughly explained what the surgery would look like as well as pre-op testing (ie ultrasounds to make sure the cancer didn't spread, etc.). During these tests we did find a nodule on her spleen, so we opted to remove that as well. On the day of surgery, the staff kept me really well informed via text and the doctor called me promptly when she was out. While she had to stay overnight for observation, I was still able to text and receive updates/photos of my baby. I was also able to text them with questions during her recovery. Two weeks later we met with Dr. Koo to go over the biopsy results. Thankfully the spleen nodule was benign and they were able to get clear margins on the mass cell tumor. Dr. Koo was incredibly thorough and we left feeling very confident in our next steps. As much as I don't wish this on anyone, I felt in really good hands at TrueCare. From the vet techs to the support staff, everyone was so compassionate. I absolutely plan to continue care here! read more

Scammers! $1000 dollars when all of the services were unnecessary. I declined. They wouldn't let me leave and held my dog hostage because they thought they can scare me by signing some bullshit document indicating I refused service. Absolutely terrible people. It is pathetic for veterinary care to resort to these measures to make money. Do better! You're supposed to care for animals. I had to ask 5 times to bring my dog out and it still took 3 hours from 11:30 to 2 am...they were just holding him hostage. Really sad how they take advantage of our love for our pets read more

True Care for Pets has clearly undergone a makeover -- and while some of the changes are genuinely lovely, others are not working nearly as well. Let's start with the positives: A very comfortable lobby. I was there from roughly 9:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. with my sick cat, and the space made an undeniably stressful situation more bearable. Comfortable chairs and sofas, an excellent coffee machine, and complimentary bottled water for anxious pet parents are all thoughtful touches. An excellent front office team. The front desk staff is welcoming, calm, attentive, and kind. On one of my visits, a staff member noticed I was struggling with the pet carrier and, without being asked, stood up and carried my cat to the car. That small act meant a lot. Caring vet techs and medical assistants. All of them -- Chris in particular -- were compassionate, patient, and clearly care about the animals they're helping. 24-hour hospital access. Being open around the clock is a real asset, and the facility is set up to handle emergencies of all kinds. Location. It's a five-minute drive from my house and only a few buildings away from my primary vet, which is incredibly convenient in urgent situations. Where things need improvement is communication -- and clarity of care. Communication varied significantly from provider to provider, and over the course of three days I dealt with multiple doctors. Dr. Farrell was truly outstanding -- clear, compassionate, and excellent at explaining complex medical issues. For her alone, I wish I could give more stars. Unfortunately, others on the team could benefit from serious communication training. I experienced repeated instances of conflicting, vague, or incomplete information, and I often had to push for answers rather than being proactively guided. In a situation involving serious symptoms, that lack of clarity was unsettling and added to my stress instead of alleviating it. There were moments where important details felt downplayed or overlooked until I specifically asked, and some guidance later had to be questioned or double-checked. When you're dealing with a very sick pet, misinformation or imprecise explanations create unnecessary anxiety -- and that was exactly my experience. While everyone I interacted with was kind, kindness alone isn't enough when medical communication breaks down. I left feeling more confused than reassured. To give context, this was a roughly $5,000 experience involving my 16-year-old cat, who presented with vomiting, severe constipation, blood in his urine, and blood in his stool. A few examples: One of the doctors spent nearly an hour on the phone with me going over my cat's many serious symptoms and the findings from diagnostic testing I approved. She was very kind, but her language was consistently vague -- phrases like "it appears your cat might have diabetes" or "it might be..." were repeated throughout the call. Given the gravity of what was being discussed, I was looking for clear guidance from a veterinarian -- not a list of alarming possibilities that I then had to interpret on my own. I felt very alone during that conversation, when what I needed was professional direction. I was quoted $892 for a vial of insulin. The same insulin is $116 for a five-month supply at Costco. I understand a markup, but this felt extreme -- particularly in a moment where urgency was being emphasized. A nurse told me it was imperative my cat receive insulin immediately, prompting me to return to the hospital late at night, while the veterinarian ultimately said it was safe to wait. I shouldn't have been put in the position of choosing whose guidance to trust. When a tech came in to teach me how to administer insulin, she told me my cat had already received a dose -- which caused me to panic, as I did not yet have insulin at home and had agreed with the vet to wait a day. Fortunately, this turned out to be incorrect information, but that moment was incredibly distressing. One of the lab tests was lost. I was refunded, but it was the test that definitively determines whether a cat has diabetes -- not a minor oversight. By the end of all this, I strongly felt the need to advocate aggressively for my pet -- asking constant questions, double-checking information, and pushing for clarity. And if I'm being completely honest, there were moments where I felt I was being upsold on additional tests, treatments and prescriptions without clear justification or a cohesive explanation tying everything together. I don't doubt that many people here care deeply, and parts of the operation are excellent. But the inconsistency in communication and medical guidance made an already frightening experience far more stressful than it needed to be. My advice to prospective clients: be prepared to ask a lot of questions, verify everything, and advocate strongly -- especially if your pet's condition is complex or urgent. I believe this facility engaged in exploitative billing practices and failed to act in accordance with fair and transparent financial procedures, causing both emotional distress and financial harm during a crisis. I paid apx: 840 upfront under emotional duress to begin Marley's treatment. However, during Marley's care, have made multiple payments accumulating to aprox $7,951 and today 7/16 I was informed that I would now need to pay an additional $8,000 immediately to continue life-saving measures. Unable to afford the additional bill, I was pressured to surrender Marley, a devastating decision no pet owner should be forced into during an emergency. I have documented evidence to support this complaint, including: All of their calls are recorded and could be subpoenaed All text message between my number and 818-760-3882 starting 7/7 till 7/16 A 12-minute screen recording of all text correspondence (screenshot attached), in which I attempted to clarify the situation and was provided no meaningful support or accountability. Text messages, photo documentation, and video evidence, all time-stamped, showing communication breakdowns, unethical billing escalation, and a lack of transparency regarding Marley's condition and treatment options. Unfair billing practices Financial coercion in a medical emergency Poor coordination Marley was a beloved family member, not just a pet. I am devastated by the experience and feel I was placed in an unethical situation where financial pressure overrode care and compassion. I want my puppy back! This review is coming a month later, but is still well-deserved! I woke up one morning and noticed a foam substance on my rug and had no idea what it was. Later that morning I heard one of my cats coughing up (what I thought was) a hairball. I came out to check on her and noticed a white foamy substance instead. She didn't seem well, was not her usual, mischievous self; she was lethargic and recluse. When I tried to pick her up, she protested when I touched her belly. I immediately knew something was amiss. Unfortunately, it was too early to take her in to her regular vet, so I frantically searched Yelp to find the closest pet hospital. TrueCare popped up, and after a few moments scrolling through their reviews, I felt confident I could trust them with my fur baby. After I called them and appraised them of the situation, they calmly encouraged me to bring her in. I put her in her carrier, and zipped over. I was immediately greeted with warm and helpful service. After a 10 minute wait a tech took her back to be examined. Another 10 minutes later, a different tech came out with a list of standard procedures that they would likely do to further assess my fur baby's needs. They quoted me on the higher end, so I would know what to expect but also reminded me that based on each assessment, more or less may need to happen. The tech was patient, kind, and capable of answering all questions! After 30 minutes, the vet brought us back into an exam room and gave us the diagnosis: gastroenteritis. As this was the first time my fur baby experienced anything like this, they were hopeful with a bland diet and slow-reintegration of her normal food and play, she would be fine. And, indeed, she was; not two days later, she was back to her usual self (mischievous and playful). They cautioned me to keep an eye out for changes in the first week, and ongoing. Seems like a reasonable precaution. The bill was hefty, but insurance took care of most of it. The service, care, and patience was definitely worth the pay. While I hope I never have to take my fur baby back to the hospital again, I know if I have to, TrueCare for Pets is where I'll go. read more

We brought our dog to TrueCare because it was the only 24-hour veterinary clinic available. Our dog was vomiting blood in the middle of the night, which was terrifying and clearly an emergency. While they were quick to take our payment--over $1,000 for bloodwork and probiotics--the rest of the experience was extremely frustrating. We waited over six hours just to receive bloodwork results. After finally getting our discharge papers around the five-hour mark, it took another full hour for them to bring our dog out so we could leave. What added to our concern was the lack of clarity and consistency around the treatment provided. We were told our dog was given fluids, which typically means an IV was placed, especially alongside bloodwork. However, when our dog was returned to us, there was no shaved area, no bandage, and no visible sign that an IV had ever been placed. This raised serious questions for us about what care was actually administered. Throughout the night, communication was minimal, updates were scarce, and there was no explanation for the excessive delays. I understand emergency clinics can be busy, but when you're dealing with a pet who is actively vomiting blood, this level of waiting and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I'm grateful that emergency care existed, but the inefficiency and poor communication about treatment made this a very disappointing experience. The team at TrueCare for Pets was truly heaven-sent I've never met a group of people more dedicated to doing their absolute best for their patients. TrueCare was on the list of recommended oncology vets for Dori's chemotherapy. Even though there was another clinic just 15 minutes from us, it felt too corporate for us. From the moment we met Dori's oncologist, Dr. Koo, we felt incredibly comfortable. She never hesitated to share her knowledge with us and did everything she could to tailor Dori's treatment to her specific needs. The entire team could see how deeply we loved our "little chicken," and they returned that love to her tenfold. Dori was usually anxious about vet visits, but not at TrueCare she would storm in with confidence, excited to see her friends. That says everything about the care and comfort she felt there. Dori fought bravely for 1 year and 4 months and crossed the rainbow bridge in my arms. We also entrusted TrueCare with her aftercare, and even in our grief, we were treated with so much kindness, compassion, and respect. To Dr. Koo, thank you for giving Dori the very best of your expertise and heart. And to the entire TrueCare team,thank you for treating our girl like one of your own. Just to update this. After this I went straight to vca at 6am. My dog had a mucus sack rupture that was around one of his organs. Hence why he was sick and throwing up. I had to put him to sleep 24 hrs later. Thanks true care for the urgent medical care. read more

Horrible experience! They tested for guardia only because we specifically told them that is what it is. Before that they said they were only testing for other parasites. It turned out he had it. Then they medicated him and it came back. Three pills for three days-- definitely not enough. We took him to a different hospital and he had two other parasites they didn't detect at TrueCare. We let that go and took him in for chocolate poisoning a few days later. I called and they told us to bring him in. When we got there they told us they do t have a toxicologist and made us call to pay an extra $90 for a phone consult. Could have told us you're not equip to deal with it!!! Horrible experience. Mostly irritated because we could've been told that they didn't have a toxicologist on site.. they're inducing vomiting. He's got mild toxicity should be OK, but we called after we got in because they didn't tell us to call when we called then on the phone while driving there. read more

I am so impressed with the care my dog received from the staff at TrueCare for Pets. Our senior dog was badly attacked by an off-leash dog in our neighborhood and our regular vet sent us to TrueCare because they are open 24/7. The moment we came in the staff was fully prepared to care for our dog. They went to work right away and kept an open and honest dialogue with us the entire time. This is the first vet I have ever gone to where I didn't feel like we were over charged for services. Compared to our regular vet, the costs were significantly lower. We ended up needing to take our dog in every other day for bandage replacements and each new staff member we worked with treated us with so much kindness. It truly felt like they cared about our dog and about us. Despite his old age, our dog is healing so quickly and is back to his old self. I credit TrueCare's amazing staff for his great recovery. This place is awful! My cat Odin was experiencing renal failure,, we took him to true care for pets, and when he was admitted, the lady was walking us through what they would do and prices and what not and we said OK, So, he was there for 1 day after I stepped in! He was on fluids because he wasn't drinking water, and we got a ultrasound to see what any issues were, and his kidneys were inflamed, knowing this, they put him on fluids which his body couldn't process correctly and unintentionally, drowning him in fluids that they put him on under 24 hours. They called at 4 am to tell us that he hasn't peed yet and when I went to go check on him, the lady pulled me aside and said that there's nothing that they could do and that at most he has 1 to 2 days to live and was pushing to put him down. In shock I took him home and said if he's not gonna die here. Then last ditch effort decided to take him to ipet care & holistic, they said it was reversible and sure enough two months later, my odin is still alive, rockin and Rollin! Do not believe TrueCare, they are TrueLiars! Go the holistic route! read more

Dr. Natalia Soto, Dr. Goldberg & Dr. Lewis, It has taken me weeks to write this review because I was so horrified by your negligence with my dog Blu Hoff. Also, after you hung up on me when my dog was limping. See pictures attached, Blu has a 3" blister on his paw with a hole in the center that you neglected to tell me about that was under his boot. See photo attached where the boot is rubbing against his open wound which was making his wound bigger and bigger. I pleaded with you that the boot was a huge problem, and you promised it was not. When I went to VCA they immediately said the boot was the major issue and it would never heal. I wish you would have recommended a wound specialist, when you clearly knew that your plan was failing. Your negligence has taken ¼ of a year to heal. That is unacceptable. I have also talked to other vets and sent them photos of Blu's malpractice and they informed me that 5 other people have had issues with Dr. Natalia Soto in the past and that they want to sue her. When I heard this, I knew I could never go back to Dr. Natalia Soto or True Care/Blue Pearl again. Once I went to VCA you never called to check on my dog Blu. To say I am disgusted, horrified, and disappointed with Dr. Natalia Soto's care would be an understatement. You turned our lives upside down for 3 months. When faced with an impossible decision, I never felt pressured. She answered every question thoroughly, giving me the space to make the choice on my own. This place is not the vibe. They will treat your beloved pets like a used car to profit off of. The name alone is deceiving. If they have to tell you they care in the name, something is off. I didn't find true care here, but I found used car sales people that lack empathy, maturity and even after a year, I'm still thinking about it. I hate driving on that part of Ventura because of the bad experience. Unfortunately, I came here per referral for oncology. Given 2 options, a minimum of 25k in treatment or nothing at all. It was 500.00 just to have the doctor tell me my cat had cancer, which we knew. They offered to tell us where it had spread but that would be another 2k. The vet, which isn't a fitting title, went on to talk all about what it was like when her cat died while we sat there devastated and feeling hopeless. Any idea or options I asked about were met with contrary and condescending comments. She was even laughing in the encounter, what kind of bedside manner is this? She gave us the poor prognosis, had to Google the research, which she still couldn't fully explain or understand herself. She used the excuse there isn't a lot of research on cats available. It was 500 bucks for a Google search that I myself had already performed. Once she realized we weren't going to go the route she had tried to sell us, the facade lifted. It was 25k for exhaustive treatments with a chance of extending life for 6 months. No options for palliative care explained, no discussion on quality of life. I took matters into my own hands because clearly we can all be vets with Google. My cat has made it beyond that without treatment. They are unprofessional, lack knowledge, compassion and clearly deceit many members of the community. You will be diverted to the emergency unit and getting a regular appointment is nearly impossible. Don't expect a call back and interactions I did have felt like I was working with a bunch of high schoolers in a serious setting. It's an easy way to underpay staff and make the most profit. I should have read the reviews first but wanted to hope we were with trusted providers. You are put in a vulnerable position and they play on it. They took forever to release my cat, she had a simple exam but they took her into the back and I had to pay before I could see her again. This process took hours and I have never had an experience like this. It felt like you have to pay a ransom to see your cat. Don't leave your pets alone with them. I believe my cat made it as long as she has because I changed routes and went elsewhere. Please do the same if you want fair and humane treatment and care. read more

10/10 experience! I brought my dog in for nail trimming and grooming, and he has a lot of anxiety. The owners were incredibly patient and took the time to calm and socialize with him right away. It was a huge relief to have the owners personally involved and genuinely focused on meeting my dog's needs. After a traumatic experience at PetSmart, I was worried about how he would react, but they handled him so well. They were able to trim his nails and groom him without him panicking or flipping out. After having a terrible experience last year at a different vet and them causing my Cat to get sick, I brought my cat Gary on October 2025. He was dying from a blockage and all the doctors as this facility saved his life. It's been an entire year since then and he's super healthy. I'll never forget them for helping.
