Worked with Shaun. I had previously called the TrueSpec phone number and specifically asked if the Beverly Hills center had Quintic for putter fittings, and was told they did. Unfortunately when I got there, I was notified that the Beverly Hills location did not have the Quintic but rather the GC Quad. It was an unfortunate misunderstanding and I didn't end up doing the putter fitting but Shaun was very apologetic and understanding and did his best to make my trip out there worth it and gave me a couple tips on my driver swing and setup. Though it was a bit of a letdown I wasn't able to do the putter fitting, I was still very thankful to Shaun for his hospitality and really going out of his way to make my visit to TrueSpec a great experience. Shaun has been treating me well for the last couple years now. Counting today, I have used True Spec Golf 3 times; once for a woods fitting, once for an irons fitting, and now for a gap analysis/check up. Each experience has been very pleasant and the facility itself is very welcoming and state of the art. The only downside of the facility is the lack of waiting space, there is only one chair so if more than one person is waiting then they would have to stand. So far, I have not run into any issues waiting. It is clear that the BH team wants to improve the golfer and not just sell product. Yes, at the end of your fitting they will quote you their build but if you start off your fitting letting them know your price targets, they will help build something that will improve your swing and not kill the wallet. Most fittings are 1-2 hours but if you are not able to complete the full fitting, they are flexible and can split the fitting over multiple days with little to no additional cost. My first fitting was when I was a ~30 handicap and it took awhile to fit me to a driver and 3W. Therefore we split the fitting over two sessions. My next fitting was when I was ~24 handicap and that went much faster. Now with my gap analysis at a 18 handicap we took more time analyzing what is good and bad and how to improve. But in the end, a fitting or check up comes down to the fitter. Shaun is always professional and honest in his analysis. He is very knowledgable and will almost give you a mini-lesson while fitting. This lets you know why you are hitting the way you are and why he is fitting you to a certain shaft or head. Thanks True Spec and Shaun for the great service. The good: Shaun was nice and the fitting went well. He asked for a budget and tried to stay in it pretty well, giving options for both exotic shafts and stock shafts and not going to the iron heads out of my price range. Facility is clean and modern. The bad: I'm giving a lower rating because of my experience with club pricing - their quote was far more expensive than what you can order online yourself. -I was fitted into NS Pro 950GH shafts and was told they cost $65. These actually came stock ($0) from the manufacturer. That's $520 for 8 irons. -I was fitted into a KBS wood shaft they quoted at $210. All other online vendors had it for $70. So in total that's $660 above MSRP for a set that cost $2.5k - a huge premium. Shaun did correct the quote once I pointed this out, but I have little doubt they would have happily taken my money if I hadn't pointed it out, and that they quote new customers with a surcharge (with their order volume, there's no way they don't know what shafts come stock). I think this is scummy given that you're already paying hundreds for the fitting. So advice: NEVER buy the clubs the day of your fitting. Go home and get quotes for your custom club specs from sites like Golf Galaxy. If it's the same price, then buy from True Spec if you want; if you can get it cheaper elsewhere, then ask True Spec to price match or order it from the other vendor. They will try to sell you on True Spec's club building as a reason to order from them ("we'll check and make sure everything's right") but honestly every major club company will build the clubs right and mistakes happen rarely, and I trust Titleist who builds tons more clubs than True Spec to get it right. read more

Wow. If you're reading this, you've already done your research. True Spec is where you need to be fitted and Shaun is exactly the person you need to fit you. From beginning to end, the experience exceeded already high expectations. Shaun is so knowledgeable, but what makes him the best I've ever seen is he dives into the data, knows what he's talking about, and most importantly, explains it in a way that's understandable to the golfer, depending on their knowledge level. I already knew a ton from my own research on club fitting and data, but I felt like I went back to college with Shaun and as he explained his methods and theories, things clicked and I learned so much. Shaun also cared for the little things and was just an overall great person. My fiancé attended the session with me to watch and do some work... Shaun made sure she had everything she needed, from wifi passwords to water. Literally such a small detail but monumental in my positive experience. Because he cared for someone I love/brought with me, I felt cared for. Finally, the facilities. It's as top of the line as you can get, all while still being very safe/conscious of COVID (Shaun had a mask and glove the whole time, etc.) The Beverly Hills location is beautiful, the technology is cutting edge, and the atmosphere is exactly how I'd expect from a premium fitter... clean, aesthetic, modern, at-ease, private, no-sales pressure. If management reads this, Shaun needs a raise or something. He's represented the brand in the highest way possible and I'm not only thoroughly impressed, but most importantly as a customer, extremely satisfied. The True Spec Golf facility in Beverly Hills is top notch. It just opened this month and I had my fitting today. I was fitted by Yoshi Enoki, who was absolutely awesome. Yoshi worked very hard to find the best setup for me and was super patient with me, especially as we tested irons. I just couldn't hit the irons well today and as an 18+ handicap, Yoshi kept me at ease and when it was clear it wasn't my day hitting irons, he offered me the chance to come back for a follow-up irons session at half-off when I'm feeling better. He also never made me felt pressured to make any purchases. For example, when we tested my 3-wood and worked to see if we could find an even better option, he recommended that I stick with my current club because it performed extremely well for me. My club fitting experience at the Beverly Hills location was the best club fitting experience I've had since I've started playing golf about 2+ decades ago! Concentrating on a Driver and Irons fitting, Kris M, the master club fitter worked with me to help me dial in on a new driver and irons set in about 3 hours time. He was very thorough and knowledgeable, patiently answering my questions and helping me through the detailed fitting process--- which included trying a number of club heads and shafts, before narrowing down the best combination for my game/swing. At end of fitting, Kris provided me with my detailed launch monitor Data Report, Quote and Prescription for my new clubs. I walked out of there appreciating that there was no hard push to buy at all. After a couple days pondering it, since they say that they stand by their custom-build and products even after fitting, I decided to proceed to order my new "prescribed" driver and iron set. I'd like to mention that another great added service when ordering clubs is the SST PURE-ing of club shafts --- which is not available at most retail golf shop purchases. It was an impressive fitting experience. The new gamers (driver and irons) are already paying off on the course with more consistency and distance that I was looking to improve in my golf game! I look forward to working with True Spec again with any minor tweaks, if needed. The experience getting fitted at Tru Spec surpassed all my expectations. Shaun was a great communicator and his knowledge was very deep. He knew the lofts of my current irons even though they were 8 years old. We went through a progression of clubs to find the right head and shaft combination and he understood my goal of distance versus fairways. In the end I was able to pick up a Driver, 5W and 3H in my woods fitting session and he even encouraged me to not get a 2nd hybrid saying that it didn't fit the gapping. I appreciate that he did not not sell me as many clubs at the highest price possible. In all honesty, I had lost complete confidence in my game before going to Tru Spec. Every driver shot in the last 4 months was left with a hook and only flying 220 yards on a 150 ball speed. I was sure that I had major issues with my swing and that no fitting would be able to address my "Out to In" swing path. The first thing Shaun did was show me on the GC Quad that my swing was actually "In to Out" 3-4 degrees and explained that my current driver and shaft were not a good fit for me. It was so soft that it was snapping the ball left with hook spin. After trying 4 driver heads with many different shafts I was hitting a gorgeous push right with a draw to the center carrying 260 yards (My actual intended tee shot). He was very amenable to keeping a 3W out of my bag and we toyed with a 4W and 5W before settling on a 5W with a slightly longer shaft than standard. Finally we moved on to hybrids and he immediately suggested that we drop my 4H and stick with a 3H which would give us room to add something in the bag like a 3W or another Wedge in the future. We ended up with a mixed sets of club and shaft brands that fit me perfectly. I ended up going from 4 hooky clubs with a carry of Driver - 220; 5W - 195; 3H - 185; 4H - 175 to Driver - 260; 5W - 210; 3H - 195. The one thing I would warn about is the cost. If you're not really invested in your golf game this may not be the right process for you. It seemed to me that they only carry the current line of each brand and do not have anything from 2 years ago even if there are minimal differences between the years. If you are expecting to do a fitting and pay bottom dollar for the clubs I would say that this probably isn't the right place for you. However, if you really want to hone your game and be the best golfer you can be I would 1,000,000% recommend Tru Spec and Shaun to you. read more

Ok my wife and I had our fitting in Palm Desert on March 22nd. The technican was great I was there 4.5 hours and my wife 3 hours. The Trackman numbers and report sent to me suggests the new clubs will help my golf performanc. Yes I'm excited to find out however things are not working out so far. To be faIr the technician told me 28 days. After my order I received an email in part saying "We anticipate being able to ship your order complete or partially within our 21-day commitment. However, if we have not shipped your order by day 16, we will reach out personally via email with an updated status of your order and anticipated delivery date." So after day 23 without getting an email I called customer service and a very nice person told me that the clubs were almost ready but waiting on grips. Ok, she also said 35 days. I took this in was nice accepted the info and moved on. On day 24 I called again because I never received the promised email. This customer service person told me that the golf supply chain is broken and that she anticipates the clubs will be sent at 45 days. I told her that was unacceptable and why is it that I have to call two times to find out anything when you promised a follow up email. My last thing I said was that I was mad and in modern society one of the recourses was to post on social media. What i heard from her was crickets for like 20 seconds and then she said "that is all the information I have." We paid over $10000 for these clubs plus the $350 fitting charge so to everyone "let the buyer beware."
