Plaza Golf in Torrance is my go-to spot for club fitting, and I always work with Todd. He's extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, never tries to push a sale on you like some other club fitters can. Todd really takes the time to figure out what setup works best for your swing and your game. He'll get you into the right equipment and help put you in the best position to play your best golf. His wife Lisa is also incredibly kind and friendly, and they both make the whole experience very welcoming. Highly recommend Todd to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable club fitter. read more

Best fitting experience I've ever had. Booked a fitting with Todd and he was very informative and answered all my questions. Had all the different types of irons I wanted to try as well. Didn't feel like he was trying to upsell me either like my previous fittings at other places. I will be back for all my golf needs! Also talked with a couple of buddies that got fitted at Roger Dunn and it seemed like a night and day experience. Highly recommend Plaza Golf for fittings. The cost of the fitting will go towards the cost of your new clubs if you decide to buy. read more

Plaza golf has great customer service. Mikey was super helpful. He helped picked out the right clubs. He helped set up golf lessons to fix my swing. Appreciate the customer care and assistance. read more

Todd was amazing with the fitting. Everything is well priced and the service overall is great. They include the fitting if you buy the clubs there, and the fitting is not like just going to Roger Dunn or PGA superstore; it's literally being paired with an expert. read more

I called Plaza Golf to inquire about getting a replacement 8-iron built. My current Miura set was meticulously frequency-matched (CPM) previously, so I wanted to ensure the new club would follow the same precise shaft specs. The phone experience was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. The employee who answered had absolutely no clue what "Shaft Frequency" or "CPM" meant--which is basic, fundamental knowledge for any professional custom club builder. Instead of finding someone who could help, a female manager got on the phone and dismissively said, "We don't do that here," without any professional explanation or courtesy. For a shop that claims to offer custom building and has high ratings, the lack of technical knowledge and poor customer service over the phone is shocking. They just wanted to take a blind online order without ensuring proper spec matching. If you are a serious golfer looking for precise, high-end custom work or frequency matching, save your time. Go to a real professional shop instead. read more

I've been coming to Plaza Golf for a few years. My initial stops were for the basics balls, tees etc. in the last several years I've received a fitting on a LAB putter which has made me excited to grab the putter - significantly bringing down my putts per round. The owners and all staff are top notch and extremely knowledgeable. Beyond the clear high level expertise it just has a feel of going somewhere where everyone knows your name, CHEERS Ref I know but truly a family owned, South Bay business who does great work and cares for its customers! read more

There are several golf shops in the South Bay area but this Plaza Golf (used to be Rolling Hills Plaza Golf) is the best to me for re-gripping, re-fitting, golf equipment, balls, golf shoes, gloves, and entire golf-related products and their kind and professional services. Oh, yea, always good price, too. Han Y.L read more

Had a driving fitting with Todd this morning and it was a great experience. He throughly took me through each option until we found a head/shaft combo that worked. After 20 years of being dormant, I made a return to golf. A friend suggested I come here for a fitting to see if my current set could be improved upon. The process was a little nerve-wracking for me, actually seeing the data on my swing - sometimes the truth hurts. My fitter had the perfect personality for this job; low key and respectful ( despite some awful swings ). He helped me down a path based on the data and was open to my observations as well. Between the two of us, we did pick a new set of irons. The numbers were just so dramatically different compared to my current set and I hope to be playing for a number of years in the future, so to me the money is well-spent. with the new clubs. The only downside is that they had to order my clubs, so I have to wait a couple weeks. I love that this is a family business too! read more

My experience here the first time I went in was not a pleasant one. It might have been because it was during the thanksgiving week/sale and they were busy. As a beginner golfer, I didn't feel like the service and attentiveness they gave was present- I just felt tossed to/fro different club options without full explanations. At one point, I had to flag someone down for help even. I left the first time empty handed. The second time I came back with a friend. He's gotten his clubs fitted here. The service the second time around was night and day. With my friend's recommendation, I took home a set of fairly priced Cleveland blooms for women. One star is taken off because of the inconsistency of customer service. read more

Great experience being fitted for woods / hybrids. Mike Padilla was my fitter. i received personalized attention and tested tons of clubs until we found the right club for my swing and game. I really enjoyed my experience and will absolutely be back. read more

I read a lot of great things about Plaza Golf so I decided to make the drive down from Glendale for a fitting. Tyler did my fitting and he was super friendly and very knowledgeable I highly recommend! I am very tall and have a big swing so I require quite of bit of custom adjustments in my clubs. Spent over an hour hitting 5 or 6 different models. We went over all of the relevant numbers from trackman and I decided to pull the trigger on a fresh set of Vokey wedges and Ping i530's (a model that wasnt even on my radar). Very happy with my purchase, should have done this years ago. I highly recommend Plaza golf for their friendliness, expertise and personal touch. Avoid big box stores and help out smaller local businesses like Plaza, you wont regret it! read more

So the key thing about Plaza is the word trust. So many Big stores with high turnover rates among employees are just there for the quick sale. This is especially true when it comes to clubs and custom fittings. Under Todd's supervision, I just bought a new Driver. Full tech fitting and hitting experience. We established a base for my old driver and they went from there. Great brands, shafts and tech. After hammering numerous balls with multiple variations of this gear. I bought the one that match my needs best. Todd was outstanding in his role for "dialing" me in during the whole process. I have purchased from Plaza several times over the years. They continue to be professional and top notch in all facets of golf gear, equipment and accessories. Something as important as new "sticks" or a driver can only be justified by the word trust. It is a strong investment to be kind. They gave me a great price as always. I want to know if those who helped me purchase such items back me and the equipment in many ways. Plaza golf with Todd and Roy absolutely do. read more

These folks are absolutely awesome! I was in town for work, and stopped by Plaza Golf around 5:45 PM to buy a few items for my tournament on Saturday. I asked Mike if he could help me out with my irons for a few minutes, which he was kind enough to say yes. We spent about an hour working on my swing, an hour that I feel was invaluable to my game. If you are in the market for clubs, gear, or training, please give these guys a chance. I will absolutely be back to purchase my next set of clubs!! read more

I live out of state but still try to get all my golf equipment from them when I'm in town. They ship as well. Competitive prices and great customer service better than big box stores. They really take care of you and can get anything if they don't have it in stock. I was surprised they found matching wedges and long irons to complete an older Honma set through their personal connections. They also have a fitting bay and Trackman including LAB putter fittings. Highly recommend. You won't go anywhere else. read more

I've been going to Plaza Golf for 30 years. There is no greater place to buy golf equipment then Plaza golf. Todd and Roy always have the right answers with the best suggestions on golf club choices. I've been using my new clubs and have lowered my handicap and had some exciting rounds on the golf course. Thank you so much Todd and Roy! you guys are the greatest!! read more

I flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles for this and I would do it again with no doubt!! Plaza Golf was recommended with two of my friends who are fitted by Mr.Todd. Since my golf life, first time ever I got fitted with objective and technical approach - rather than given women's club because I am female. Fitting area is comfortable and time goes fast and smooth. Todd is a real fitter, not a sales person to push you buy something. He even suggests keeping clubs if they are great fit - or just need small adjustments. Selection of clubs and golf equipments are so rich! Prices are fair and moderate. All questions are answered with technical and clear explanation- only down part is there is one Todd! I am so glad he is training his stuff - which will help to book close reservation dates. Definitely recommend for every golfer or new started to get a right start to Golf. read more

Mike Padilla was our golf fitting person for my 15 yr old. We couldn't be happier with his knowledge, patience and direction. We bought a set because we felt great with Mike's approach. Great service and they really know how to find the right club for the golfer that you are.

Best golf store ever!! I went in for a fitting with Tod and not only he did he end up telling me that my current shaft was good enough. He made a few adjustments on my driver. And gave me some tips that has improved my consistency dramatically. I played the following day and shot my best round of the year. Was soo happy that I scheduled an iron fitting with Bob and once we went through a few measurements and test swings he showed me my current irons didn't need adjusting and showed me a few changes that made a pretty significant jump in distance. Since we didnt really go thru a full fitting and just tweaked a few things, Bob didn't even charge me!!! I felt so grateful that I decided to use that money to buy a new 3 wood and the price was insane. I'm definitely a customer for life!! read more

This is by far and away the best golf store in LA. I came in after snapping my driver shaft (not on purpose) and under a time crunch to get a new one before a tournament the next day. Though the team could not assist with warranty (I have to go through Fujikura - annoying), they did everything to make sure I was able to get a new one. John scheduled me for a same day fitting over his lunch break, and did not rush me through the process. I hit three different club heads, 4 different shafts combos. John was super knowledgeable, patient, and I ultimately found the perfect fit. The above and beyond customer service did not stop there - I needed a new shaft as the stock options were not good for my swing. I selected a new Ventus TR black shaft and the team at Plaza Golf regripped, and cut it down a half inch (Short Kings FTW) and I was on my way with my new club - SAME DAY. I have never hit the ball straighter off the tee, and I'm sitting at the top of the leaderboard after round one of my tournament. This place is awesome - stop thinking about visiting and GO! read more

Holy smokes what a selection of clubs, putters, clothing, and golf balls! Plaza Golf is definitely a golfers dream place to shop or even browse. It's like Disneyland for golfers! When walking into Plaza golf, you get clobbered with views of Clubs, clubs and more clubs, along the wall you get a view of shoes and golf accessories. Get this, the people working there also know a lot about golf! They can answer anything you need to know, club fittings, ball compressions, thank you very much. They can place the right ball for your swing. Amazing! read more

Bigger Does Not Mean Better. If you want to get better plaza golf is the place to go. The big box stores might look nice and glitzy, but they're really made for the beginner that doesn't know any better. Big box stores don't have many customization options for your swing. You have to go with the stock shafts the manufacturer comes with. Todd is one of the best in the business nationally when it comes to club fitting. He takes the adequate time to fit you appropriately for your swing. I got fitted twice from other stores and it was wrong. It's also nice to support a local business owner that has been around for decades. Pricing is on par with the big chains. Why go anywhere else? read more

My wife and I are from Ventura County. We found this place online and took a trip to visitThe service was great everyone was helpful and polite. The selection was amazing it was a candy store built for golf. The prices were fantastic to good to be true great value. My wife and I are beginning in our golf journey and other golf stores have been kind of snooty unwelcoming and Plaza Golf was like visiting Family. They were so nice all of them. We talked to Randy the most and he gave us great advice and talked to my wife and I for awhile with no pressure to buy things just dropped knowledge and recommendations. The visit was amazing. The wife is already making plans to go back very soon. They have great clothing options and deals also. read more
