We've been coming to True Float Spa frequently and have really been enjoying the experience. We became members and appreciate the flexibility of being able to pause the membership when needed and also bring guests with us. It has become a great way to escape the daily stressors of life and truly relax. Having a safe space to simply be with yourself in stillness can be surprisingly transformative. It definitely takes some getting used to at first. Initially I experienced a bit of lower back discomfort from floating on my back, but over time I found a more comfortable position and no longer have that issue. I received a session at True REST as a Christmas present and had my session in mid-January. Overall, I had an excellent experience. After checking in on my arrival, I watched a short training video and was given a quick tour of the facility. There was only one person working and I thought she did an excellent job taking care of several of us there for our float sessions. In particular, I thought she did an especially good job helping Customers have a positive experience by tailoring the use of music and light within the pod during their session. Each room contains a shower with everything you might need, except a comb or brush, and the pod itself. There's also an intercom on the wall and within the pod if you need assistance. The room, and for that matter the entire facility, was extremely clean and well cared for. The float session was excellent. It was very, very relaxing. The tutorial video gives you some idea of what sensory deprivation is like, but it's different when you actually do it. Use the music, lights, and ability to keep the pod door slightly open to make the experience enjoyable for you. After the float session, I tried the no-cost oxygen bar for a few minutes, but it didn't do anything for me. As others have noted in their reviews, the facility does solicit tips for the employees. However, the only solicitation I saw was on the back of the door of the float room. In addition, you will also receive a bit of a sales pitch to buy a membership that day. Had my first float experience, it was enjoyable but took some getting used to. The spa itself is lovely, the smell when you walk in feels calm and refreshing and the staff were very kind and welcoming. Since this was my first visit I received a tour and watched an introduction video. Each pod has a private room for you to show pre and post float. We were given earplugs which I needed but failed to put in before getting in (as instructed) so I was unable to get a proper seal, which probably contributed to not settling in nicely. You are able to listen to music while in the pod, I previewed a few and made a selection before entering the room. The 60 minutes went by very fast and the I slept great the next two night so I guess that means I got some benefit from the experience. Here are some of my critiques: 1. There pod room is a wet room, with shower which is great but this is also the dressing room so drying off with the one towel I was given and getting dressed after was a bit of a challenge. 2. Washing your hair after is a must and the spa provides everything you need, shampoo, conditioner, and blowdryer. Unfortunately, the blowdryers were great so if you want to style your hair after, bring you own tools. Overall, it was relaxing and I could see myself doing it again in the future. read more

The facility is wonderful and the staff when you are floating. However the membership is a problem. We were told we could cancel at anytime and after 6 months we decided that we wanted to cancel. After multiple attempts to cancel the membership - calling, emailing (email got bounced back) and in person, we were charged again in February 2025. We were told that whatever floats we had not used would remain on our account until they were used up but the monthly membership fee would be stopped. That has not happened. If you want to float, just pay when you float. Don't join the membership. read more

The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. Every person we encountered was friendly and helpful. The float itself was great.

Highly recommend using True Rest from a relaxation perspective. This location is clean and the staff was friendly. Will likely go back to the Cary location instead of this one. The pressure to tip at this location is pretty uncomfortable and slightly unprofessional. Staff had lamented signs with their personal cashapp and Venmo's with a request to tip; on the door in the float room, in two different places at the front desk, and even on the table in the relaxation area. I mean cool, leave it on the back of the door in case someone wants to tip the person that walked them back to their room and poured them a cup of water. I get it if they would have provided a service themselves (massage therapist or nail tech). Seems inappropriate in my opinion and especially inappropriate with this volume of marketing. I'd rather see more marketing about how I can upgrade or more benefits of my membership. Pay staff an appropriate wage so members can focus on relaxing and not being pressured to tip. read more
