I have recently been reading about halo therapy and was interested in trying a salt cave, then I discovered this float center and I was intrigued. My original plan was to do a float after I had attended one of my hot yoga classes next door at Vegas Hot! Well I had actually saved it for a better time, I ended up doing it a day before doing a 22 mile day hike. Figured it would be a good way to loosen up my muscles. I had myself slightly stressed out and psyched about my upcoming hike to Mt. Whitney. I had read that a float had some abilities to destress and had some calming effects. Added bonus, it's a pod full of Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt), so I know my muscles would appreciate the soak prior to my upcoming adventure. We (they have 4 pods, you get your own pod) watched a short informational video on the do's and don'ts of the float and then led into our pod room. You are instructed to shower off prior to entering the pod which holds 1,200 lbs if Epsom Salt and is filled with 10" of water. I was curious how the water is filtered, as I began to think of the people that had been in the water before me, I was told it filtered more than a pool, and they are followed by the health district, and the salt content is so high that it's not a place of bacterial growth. Not gonna lie, I was still a little sketched out, when I felt a hair brush passed my arm, and yes I know, it's pretty much the same as a public pool, but I can't help but let my mind wonder sometimes. Once you get in the pod, you're to turn off the lights, close the pod, lay back, and try to relax and trick your brain into thinking you're sleeping. I thought I might have a hard time with this because my mind likes to wonder and think about the million of other things I need to be doing. But to my surprise, I actually fell asleep, and a snore woke me up (and I don't normally snore, I swear!) After my session I could definitely tell I was relaxed, and I was ready for a great night sleep ahead! For me, it did what I was looking for, I would return if I'm looking for a nice huge tub of relaxing Epsom Salt! read more

This place was very accommodating and relaxing. It was my first time and I stumbled across this business on a Groupon promotion. I have never submerged myself in 1200lbs of epsom salt to help me relax, so I wanted to give it a try. The guys at the front were so kind and left with ready with all the information I needed to get my float on. You are given the option to go in naked or in a swim suit. I was feelin' myself that day & totally went in naked. You're first shown a brief video to prepare you for the float, it's pretty cool especially with 1st timers. The float itself was...different. I think I was overthinking the whole time and didn't give my mind and body the chance to relax and fully enjoy the float. I was thinking A LOT. You do not realize how long 60 minutes is until you are sitting in complete silence for the entire time. I did notice after the float, I did have an increase of headaches and neck tension. I can't blame this on the float, but maybe surrounding life events and stress. I just felt like my body was still kinda stuck in float mode. All in all, the flat was good. Got one halo therapy session from groupon with a girlfriend. We were extremely excited to try out something new and holistic. The reason I'm only giving two stars is because aside from not having any benefits from our session the customer service was subpar. We waited 15 minutes to get checked in and were handed forms to fill out with minimal interaction with the guy at the front desk. We didn't get a run down of any of the services or what this place has to offer. We were shown how to turn the on button on, in the halo machine.. Not sure if that's the correct name.. I laid in a bed suspended over salt by wooden slates for 20 minutes, then we paid with our groupon coupons and left. A waste of $20 to say the least... Wish I could've enjoyed more of a "healing spa" experience, surely won't be coming back. read more

I never knew what it was really like to fully let go and relax every tiny bits of your body until I got on the pod! That's coming from a yoga addict and instructor. It was so weird at first when you lay down and the water lifts you up because of the 1,200 lbs of salt but I loved that feeling. I miss it, I want to relax like that every night. It's the ultimate way to escape everything and focus on you. It's so quiet in the pod, i chose not to close the pod and I still couldn't hear anything. You float for an hour. It's like drifting in the soothing ocean but you can take away the worry of drifting out into the middle of the ocean then have your own "naked and afraid" show, if you get lucky enough to drift into an island. I had a back pain and foot pain before I went in and they went away after I got out. Also, I was waking up with extremely sore feet every morning for months and it completely went away when I woke up the next morning. The numbness in my arm that I normally wake up with for YEARS also went away. My mind is so much clearer! It's spa like environment there. You get a private room with the pod, shower, body wash, shampoo, and towels. There's a separate to do your make up and get ready if you need. The place is extremely clean! There's a lounge with tea and water to chill before and after. There are healing crystals everywhere so the vibe there is amazing! The owner Travis is awesome and so informative! I definitely look forward to my next float. I want to bring my boyfriend and tell all my friends to try this out. Everyone deserves an escape. read more

So my total experience here was about a 1.5.... So why the 4 stars? :) Well it's because I was not able to experience this fully since I have really bad vertigo. In other words, IF you have vertigo. . .do NOT do this. . . IF you have severe motion sickness. . .do NOT do this. . . IF you ever got sick after lying on a waterbed (yes I just dated myself. lol). . .do NOT do this. . . But I am giving them 4 stars for their awesome customer service. The guy that checked me in was very helpful. Made me some mint tea to help calm my stomach a bit as I was very very nauseous. And I have been going to the chiropractor for the past couple of weeks for lowerback pain. . .and I after less then 10 minutes(less then 2 minutes floating. . .the rest was just spent sitting in the water). . .my back feels AWESOME!! I am still going back to the chiropractor. . .BUT OMG. . .I can only imagine what my back would feel like if I had lasted the entire hour in the tub. The facilities are very clean and welcoming. . .if you are a germophobe. . .I think i will be fine. . .everything was very clean. . .=) AND if you think that you can't float. . .trust me. . .there is so much salt in the water that you will float just fine. =) I did take one star off as nowhere in the paperwork that he has does it mention vertigo or motion sickness. . .=( If they did. . .I would not have tried this. I had my first float today and I am already looking forward to going back! I arrived early to fill out paperwork and watch a quick, 6 minute intro video then Rachael thoroughly explained everything about the pod, including how to change light colors, how to position one's self in the water and how to turn music and/or lights on/off. She left me alone, I took a quick shower then made my way into the pod. I sat down, a bit perplexed how I was supposed to float but as soon as I stretched my legs out and laid back, I was floating! I personally liked having the little noodle under my neck to support my head but it might not be ideal for everyone. I liked the music, I think it was "Whale Songs" but if it wasn't, it could have been because that's what it reminded me off. Very calming to listen to. My mind drifted on its own but I didn't fall asleep. My time passed too quickly. My feet felt the filter turn on and start moving the water which is the signal that float time is over. I got out carefully and made my way back to the shower. I wished I had a second towel so I didn't have to use my damp one from before my float but it was a minor thing. Next time I'll know to ask for a second towel. I had started my appointment with some issues. A headache in its second day, foot issues from standing at my job, stomach issues and after my float it was all gone. Really. Seeing how I personally felt before and after my float is why I am looking forward to returning. I am a fan! read more

This is my 3rd time floating. Of course being a native New Yorker,age 53 and floating at 6ft 3 in and 260 added to my degree of skepticism. I will continue to come back at least 2x a month to make this a regular part of my health and wellness program. My stress level is close to 0 for the following 2 weeks after each float. THE ONLY THING I HAVE FOUND TO GIVE ME ANY PAIN RELIEF FROM MY 28 SURGERIES!!! I was injured in 3 different motorcycle accidents and as a result I've had 28 surgeries to include 5 back surgeries with hardware, 3 neck surgeries with artificial discs, 4 shoulder surgeries, 4 knee surgeries ( split kneecap in 1/2) and several other surgeries. I am in constant severe pain. I've tried everything else, PT, Acupuncture, Chiropractor and everything else you can think of trying. My daughter bought me a Groupon for a Float Session, that's the only reason I agreed to try it. I am by nature very skeptical and had No Illusions of receiving any benefit from floating around in some salt water. When I arrived and heard the massage music and saw all the lit up crystals (supposedly know for their healing power) I thought Oh Boy here we go, more magic Voodoo to try and save me... After finishing my float I didn't say WOW I feel better already. I left and didn't plan on returning. That night I noticed that the severe pain in my lower left back was less than it normally is, I was able to sleep that night on my left side for more than 5 min at a time. The next morning I told my wife "I hate to admit it but that Float Thing seems to helped she couldn't believe it. Nothing has helped me! As soon as I can afford it I will be going back to see if a few more sessions can continue to provide some relief from the pain. I will let you know. UPDATE 2-27-2019 As I previously stated, Nothing has provided any relief for me from my constant, debilitating pain... UNTIL NOW- I just completed my 3rd float as recommended. I still cannot believe that Floating around in this Pod could help me but I AM AMAZED AT THE IMPROVEMENT IN MY LEVEL OF PAIN !! After 28 surgeries, hardware in my neck and back there isn't such a thing as pain free, but THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE FELT IN 15+ years!! I waited a few days before I posted a review. I can't say how awesome floating is. I went to massage school and I enjoy this by far over massage. Once you can relax and let yourself go the journey begins. Thoughts and visions for me were the best. It's like dreaming while awake. It so cool to feel like your are floating in space and seeing the flashes and colors that come and go. You come out relaxed and refreshed. Close the lid or not whatever you feel best doing. I have floated twice now in Las Vegas. My first time was with music in the pod and it was great but I truly believe that no music is the best way per recommendation from the owner. So go and try it. This is my 2nd time here and a reset was long over due. The customer service was fantastic just as the first. The place is well kept and they offer refreshments, tea, water and there are other interesting things you can do while you wait for your session to begin. The True Rest Float Spa in Las Vegas is a peaceful oasis in the midst of chaos. The traffic to get there, the overwhelming ebb and flow of people in that city, and the congestion of noise, lights, and shopping malls screaming for your attention are difficult to navigate. Fortunately, the spa provides an escape that made everything right with my world at least for a while. I truly enjoyed my experience from walking through the front door to having to "float" back through the front door after having "floated out" in their slippers without my own shoes once my float session was over. As I can see from Melissa S's review, this isn't uncommon since you're feeling so relaxed and peaceful, even the slippers seemed right. So this was my first time floating and I didn't quite enjoy it because of 1 reason. First, to me the pod smelled like old mildew, and a little like body odor. -- I went with a girlfriend and she said hers spelled perfectly fine. So I guess it was just my room. I could see how I could go into deep relaxation and meditation but my poor nose just couldn't adjust to the smell so I got out of the pod after about 15 mins. I explained to the front desk my situation but they didn't seem too interested and said that they take very good care of their pods and maintain quality health standards. This is not a scene out of "Altered States" (1980).......not freaky hallucinations...no freaky super powers earned. I received a couple of gift cards from the GF to experience all the is consistent with a float tank. I arrived early for my appointment and was promptly greeted. This particular establishment goes by a different name...with as much texts, I have received...I will assist them with making things right with yelp. This business does not go by the same name anymore. They bought out someone else. It is now called "True Rest." Prior to entering the float tank, you will shower. Prior to entering, I put the tank under the microscope prior to entering. I did not see any offense protein based particles floating around and so in I went. The temperature is comparably to that of the human body and I was all warm and fuzzy. Once you hour starts, everything sort of shuts down. At times there is a very soft hum of the filtration system. This only occurs when your head finds the area of the tank. The float tank is awesome. Lot's of salt help make one buoyant. It took a second to relax. the neck area in particular....just relax. Given that I was 280+ when I entered the tank. Trust me..if you...let yourself go...Every single aspect of you will float. I bounced around of the tank when I floated. Unnerving at first but then it mellowed out I went with no music and no light, and drifted in and out of conciseness. Unless you roll on your stomach, you don't have to worry about falling asleep. You are only in 13 inches of water. Besides, if you don't wake up due to not being able to breath, you eyeballs will wake you regardless of being closed. The salt will remind your of its power. When it's all said and done, the lights pop on and the once semi silent circulation system fires up full steam. I was asleep when this happened and I was suddenly awake. Out of the tank I went straight to the shower. After washing I went to another room where I could continue to groom myself while enjoying the benefits of the tank. Prior to punching out, I was offered some flavored O2, that I thought was cool. The attendant was friendly and offered up some membership options. I got one more gift card which I will with out a doubt...enjoy. The road construction arriving at True Rest was hell. When I punched out...I did not seem to care much. It's not a big deal but I have a pet peeve about rooms not having a clock in them that is something that would be cool. Today was the first time I have been to a place like this. (My son gave me a groupon for Mother's Day.) The staff person was incredibly friendly, both on the phone and in person. The place is clean and I felt comfortable. However, although I enjoyed the experience, I can't really see myself going again, but it was fun for one time. I seemed to have to keep itching my face, then every time I would touch my face, I would get salt in my eyes! They do provide a fresh water spray bottle to rinse your eyes with, and I used it a lot! I also felt like it would have been nice for the water to be a little warmer, and I never could get my pod to change colors. Oh well, I liked it dark for the most part, and it is relaxing once you get organized. The reason I am giving this 4 stars is that I believe there needs to be some kind of a railing installed to help you get out of the pod. Now, those of you who are young and bouncy probably wonder what I am talking about, but those of us who are a little older would definitely appreciate feeling a little more secure having something to hold on to for safety's sake in such a wet and slippery place. read more

If I could give this place a ZERO I would. I have become disabled and cancelled my membership in August 2018. I fell in July 2018 and I have been diagnosed with diabetes, S1 neuropathy in both legs, my central nervous system is inflamed, an exaggerated startle response, I'm constantly dizzy and can't drive, I have a white mass in my brain that the doctors at Lou Ruvo are trying to figure out and I may be sent to the Mayo Clinic. I informed True Rest of my illnesses and requested my money back for the 5 floats I still have pending. The person that answered my email refused and told me it's not policy and would be up to corporate. So I contacted "corporate." They said that they can't refund my money as they all True Rest are independently owned and operated. So I'm being lied to and the owners are ignoring me and my emails that I've sent to "corporate". I am now going to seek the media and post on social media of what this company does to people with ADA issues. Do NOT spend your money here as they will keep it even if you become sick! That is a terrible way to run a business! I would recommend IMR Massage. As soon as I told them my situation, they were happy to refund my $300, even though it's not policy. So why is it that True Rest NV refuses? TERRIBLE COMPANY and will never promote them ever again! read more
