This was a great experience, even better than I expected! The atmosphere is very chill and spa-like. When you enter, it's obvious that it's time to relax and take some time for yourself. The staff contributes to the calm tone, too. I felt very taken care of from the second I stepped in the door, like I wouldn't have to worry about a thing. The space is VERY clean, which was my biggest concern. Everything seemed brand new and hygienic, especially the shower. The float itself was incredibly relaxing. Just being in the complete darkness and trying not to think too much felt good. I was going to try to explain it, but I would go on and on...I thought the small space might be a bit scary, but it wasn't - the lid doesn't lock at all, and there's always the option to keep it open. All of the little details were so appreciated: ear plugs, a ring for your head to float higher if preferred, and instructions for a wet towel if salt gets in your eyes. I've done a float in an open room before, and the pod is way better, IMO. Absolutely loved the tea, oxygen bar (scents were a little bit overpowering, but still nice), and quietness after the float. The oxygen bar and Groupon are what made me pick this spot over other floats. I definitely did feel a little too much of a sales push (I don't think this was the staff member's fault - seemed like they must be told to repeat this spiel because the signage coincides with it to a T), which almost brought me down a star. First float experience! As a new customer, I had to arrive 30-minutes early to watch an instructional video and take a tour of the float suite. I completed the waiver forms ahead of time. The facility is clean and inviting. There is a "zen area" (my words, not theirs) where you can enjoy tea, doodle, color, journal, and enjoy the oxygen bar. For the float, you can borrow slippers and use them in your suite. They ask that you shower before entering the pod. You could also listen to music or go without. They provide ear plugs, a towel, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Once I started to float, I felt a little nauseous. The video warns you of this. I sat up and waited for it to pass and then tried again. It felt a little stuffy in the pod and I wished for fresh air. The hour goes by very fast and then you can shower and get cleaned up before leaving. read more

I wanted to find something for me to destress & just to treat myself a bit after the election & I could think of no better idea than to finally try out a float spa for the very first time! Essentially a sensory deprivation tank & it was exactly what I needed after all the tension. I went on Groupon to see if that would help to narrow my options & talked to my one friend who I knew did float spas regularly. Turns out that Groupon had a deal for half off your first float here AND it just so happened to be the place my friend regularly went to - so it made my decision very easy! The entire experience was so wonderful and during this pandemic, everything felt so cleanly & safe, which was of upmost importance when I'm "reusing" a pod that someone else had already been in. But the spa reassured us that everything is thoroughly cleaned after each float session, and it really looked to be that way too. You are required to not just rinse off, but shampoo your hair (no conditioner) and use body wash on your body to shower before you get into the pod. Afterwards, then you can use conditioner in your hair. They also provide towels and wax earplugs (which are a bit uncomfortable, but I think that is just because I've never worn earplugs before) that were very effective. There's also a room for you to blow dry your hair after you're done with your float as well and then a nice sitting room for you just to relax afterwards until you're ready to leave. The float itself was such a cool experience. You truly do feel weightless and the pod is so huge. A foot or hand will occasionally bump into a wall, but once you have mellowed out, you won't be moving side to side as much and just manage to float in place. It's truly effortless, which is such a weird feeling. I love swimming and know how to float, but this is totally different. It's truly like laying on a cloud. I couldn't even feel my limbs because everything was weightless! Definitely such an experience that I recommend everyone try at least once. If you have chronic pains or any aches, they do recommend that you do this repetitively in order to see lasting effects. From just one float, I didn't feel too many effects. I don't think I slept all that better, and I think that perhaps I still had way too much on my mind to fully relax during the float. The float session is an hour long, but I was restless after 30-40 minutes, so spent the remainder of my float purposely bouncing around the pod lol. There's an option to have some mood lights and music on, or you can turn off the lights, and a filter will kick in within your pod, making a louder sound, to indicate your hour is up. The water is warm and comfortable, so I never felt cold. I would definitely go again, but probably not anytime soon. It was a fun experience, but not something that I would do regularly. I am interested in trying it again when my brain is less chaotic (if ever) to see if I can relax for a longer period of time! read more

The environment upon entering was one of peace and tranquillity. The ambience was light and refreshing. They start you off with a waiver and short video about the experience. Next, you get a tour of the facility and explanation of how to operate your float tank and suite. Although they have music available or phone capability to play your own selection, I chose to enjoy my first float in complete silence and darkness. It was WONDERFUL! Afterwards you have your option to enjoy the oxygen bar and tea room. They also have journals available for you to read and write about your experiences and hear from others about theirs. I LOVE True Rest float Spa! I found this place on Groupon and was so happy I did! I started working out 5 times/week at my new boot camp workout and my muscles were aching for a retreat! True Rest is relaxing as soon as you walk through the door! The staff is SO friendly and inviting! You are greeted and led to a comfortable waiting area where you view a brief video describing your float and what to expect. You're then taken on a tour of the facilities. There is a room where you can do yoga after your float, apply makeup, dry your hair, etc. After your float you can relax and have tea at the oxygen bar or write about your experience in the provided journals. On to the float! You are placed in a private room where you can shower and hop into the float pod. The lights are on for ambiance and the float pod is warmed to body temperature for the entire float. You can play your own soothing music or just listen to the relaxing sounds already softly playing in the float pod. Every float experience is different and more relaxing the more you frequent. The float was so wonderful, I joined the membership club on my very first visit! If you do the Groupon and join the membership, I feel you get the best deal as you basically end up getting 2 floats for the price of 1! The Covid safety protocols are great in this spa. I really appreciate how friendly the host was. I felt very comfortable and welcomed. It was also very clean, spotless. I felt like I was in a high end spa. I did notice my nails felt more brittle after attending this float. I think next time I might put Vaseline on my nails. This place is pure bliss. I have gone twice now for an hour long float session and both times I have been impressed with how great I feel 24 hours later. First off, if it's still there snag the Groupon. It's going to save you $20 on your first visit. You can easily schedule online or call to make an appointment. No prepayment is required. Prior to going there are a few things you need to know. If you recently dyed your hair and the water is still showing color when you shower, you'll need to wait. Ladies if it's that time of the month, you'll need to wait. Do not shave any part of your body the day of. If you have any open cuts I'd advise waiting a few days. Your first time there you will be greeted, you'll complete some paperwork and then watch a quit informational video on the benefits of floating. You'll get a quick tour and shown how to operate everything. Your room is completely private and includes a shower. You must rinse your body off before floating to rid yourself of any lotions, oils, deodorants etc. The float pod is actually pretty spacious and I did not feel at all claustrophobic. You are floating on maybe a foot of hundreds of pounds of Epsom salt water at body temperature. You control whether or not you want music or lights on. I personally like music, no lights. I experimented with the lid and I also prefer it completely closed. But if you're concerned about being claustrophobic you can leave it open. Know that your mind will wonder and time does pass slow. Use this time to practice mindfulness and be aware of your body and breathing. I've yet to be able to fall asleep but that's my goal. Afterwards you shower, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are all provided. As are towels, wash cloth, and shower sandals. Bring your own comb and brush. Then you can proceed to a separate room where there are hairdryers, lotion and space to freshen up. Afterwards, you can relax in the calming room where hot tea, cold water and adult coloring books are available. You can stay as long as you want. I noticed that I sleep better afterwards and the next several days I have better energy, mood, and overall wellness. read more

I'm so glad that the person I bought this for chickened out! I found True Rest on Groupon. The deal let you get a float and 10 minutes at the oxygen bar. I spoke to Todd on the phone and made arrangements for my float. I had to arrive 30 minutes early, so you can watch a video that's about 8 minutes and take a tour of the facilities. When you step in, the first things you notice are all of the Himalayan salt candles. Some are just decorations others are for sale. There is also a selection of lotions, scrubs, oils and candles. They also have some cute clothing. I was greeted by Todd, who put me in the care of Carissa. I watched the introduction video and completed the waiver forms on a tablet. You can complete them ahead of time, on your phone while you're there or on the provided tablet. After all the introductory stuff, I was taken to the room where my pod was and a private shower. They provide shower sandals, conditioner, shampoo, body wash, towels and earplugs. The shower, in the private suite, was great with wonderful water pressure. The beauty products smelled wonderful! Once you're in the pod, you have the options of having spa music or your own playlist or simply silence. You can open the pod and close it to the point you desire. You float above 10 inches of water. The experience is extremely relaxing and soothing. When you exit you shower again and can go to the prep room where they provide you hair dryers and other amenities to help you get ready to leave. The only downside I found was the freshness of the towels . It seems that the ones that I received had maybe sat in the washer too long before drying , because they had that weird musty smell , under the smell of the dryer sheet . Once you are prepared, you can settle in one of the comfortable chairs in the outer room and enjoy the oxygen bar, hot tea, and cold water. There are a multitude of calming activities that you can also participate in on the table. I left feeling more relaxed than I have in a long time. This is an indulgence to me, from me. I use this hour to pamper my joints (especially knees) and meditate. Or just relax. Heck, I've fallen asleep a couple times! The whole place is just so zen. Calming, peaceful public areas. The staff is amazing - helpful but in no way pushy. True Rest sells itself - you'll be hooked after your first visit - so there's no need for a hard sell. I used a Groupon for my first visit, which I recommend so you can see if it's your bag. But if you're there, you already know you like this type of self care. IF (when) you become a member (NOT necessary), you can pause your membership (I've had to do this when I'm traveling a lot) and you get free access to the Oxygen Bar ($10 for 10 minutes otherwise). They have an area to do your hair (and makeup) after your float. Room has hair dryers, spray Thai Crystal deodorant, makeup wipes, Qtips, hairspray. They also have a meditation type area open to all, with water and an organic tea of the day. Ok, the float. Each person has their own room with the float pod, a shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, a washcloth (I use this to keep any Epsom salt water out of my eyes) and a towel. They also provide waxy ear plugs that keep the water out of your ears and a packet of product to put on any cuts so they don't sting from the water. The pod has a float circle you rest your head in to keep your face out of the water. You can float in the dark, or with their mood lighting. With or without the pod lid down. They pipe in some meditation type music but have a way for you to play stuff off your phone too. I like complete dark, with pod lid down and their music...perfect. From my initial phone call right until I left following my incredible appointment I had a very positive experience. The people I spoke with were kind, informative and professional. Since it was my first float I too was concerned about the process and sensory deprivation but it was all fantastic! There was nothing to worry about at all. I had everything I needed, when I needed it. To me a significant part of the experience is the cleanliness of the facility. I had purchased a groupon for a hour long float. I had recently been introduced to the idea of floating and it is amazing how interesting this experience is. From the moment I walked into "True Rest" I felt like I was going to finally get a nice relaxing moment to add to the hectic work week that I had just had. I was greeted by Mallory and she knew exactly who I was due to the appointment that I had made. She was very kind and started to explain about the paperwork that I needed to fill out, and to go relax in their lounge room. On top of it all, she asked for me to swap my shoes for flip flops, and I chuckled at the idea of them having size 14 flip flops. Sure enough, they did! I sipped on some tea while waiting, and just trying to get the amount of craziness from my work week out of my mind and tried to get ready for some relaxing. Since it was my first time there, I had to watch a video, get shown around the place, and finally get introduced to my own float room. As the float goes, you take a shower to get any initial oil / product off of your body to make sure that you don't ruin the water / salt mixture. From there, you plug in some ear plugs, and slowly get into your pod. You get yourself as comfortable as possible. It is time to completely clear your mind. They really tell you to concentrate on your breathing... that was what did it for me. Nice deep and relaxing breaths. You have a few options during your float... you can leave a LED light on in your pod if you are not a fan of darkness, along with being able to keep the lid of the pod open if you are not a fan of being sealed off / claustrophobic. Also they give you the option of music. I've done this a few times, the first time I did some white noise of water lapping onto the beach, the second time I tried to choose some of my own music... (I do not recommend) and then this time, I did no music at all. I just tried to focus on nothing and try to clear my mind. What happens right as you do that? You kinda jolt yourself awake... when you realize that the filter on the pod is turning on to give you the indication of your hour is soon being up. You then hop out of the pod, and then take another shower to rinse off all the salt water. You should bring your own toiletries / deodorant / hair product.. but they do provide some items for you as well. After the float, you're invited to go back to the oasis room to relax a little bit more, with some tea, flavored water, and some comfortable chairs... and it was a nice setting to look out the window to see a large amount of snow had started to fall from the sky. Now, this is a business, and they do try to introduce you to a membership... no high pressure, just for those to realize how much floating is a very relaxing time... it just might be worth it to you. :) read more

Discovered this place by chance on a recent random visit to the shopping area where it is located, and, after a phone inquiry, I was able to return just a week later for a floating session. It was not my first time experiencing the benefits and opportunities of floating. I was surprised and impressed by the spacious-seeming facilities, most notably in the floatation room itself, with a large pod and ALSO a private, spacious shower area incorporated into the room design. The setup of the float was effective, with music to guide you into the silence and then serving as a subtle cue once the session was nearing its close. read more

Maybe it's because the heavy push for memberships (which I do have), maybe it's because the room feels a little chilly while you're undressing, perhaps it's because they have a connection for android users to play music in the pod, but not Apple. I think the stress of rushing kind of ruined the zen and relaxation for me unfortunately. The staff at the front seemed disorganized. We have been thinking about trying floating for a while and decided to finally do it when we found a Groupon. It was super easy to schedule the float. In fact, we made reservations for the next day and they had a number of different times of availability. Staff was informative and courteous. It was our first float so we arrived half an hour earlier to fill out forms and watch a short video. Then, we were shown our rooms and were given tips and instructions on the controls we have for the float. Everything was very straightforward. In the rooms, you have your private shower which they recommend you showering before and after the float. Before, to get rid of excess hair and oils and afterwards to get rid of the salt water. The float itself was interesting. Surprisingly, I didn't find it difficult to not think about things because I am constantly thinking about future plans and reflecting on my day. It felt like a nice warm bath in the dark. The hour went by pretty quickly. When the jets and lights turned on, that made me jump a bit because I wasn't expecting it. After showering, they have a room for you to blow dry your hair, apply your makeup, etc. They have hair dryers and even hair products. That was nice but I didn't utilize it. They also have a lounge for you to relax with water and tea. Overall, it was a great (and different) experience. If you are on the fence, I would recommend trying it. It isn't as life changing as some people swear by (well for me, anyway), but I did find myself more relaxed and I had better sleep even with fewer hours (maybe placebo effect). read more

When I first walked in, it has a very serene feeling, ambiance is true to scene. They have a cute little introductory video. My pod room was very clean. Fresh silicone wax earplugs for me, a towel, washcloth, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided for after your session. I thoroughly enjoyed my float session and can't wait to go again. I was in such a meditative/sleep state that when the filter/jet came back on I jumped a little. They have hairdryers and lotion in a "prep" room. Wow! I did not expect to like this as much as I did. I have tried all the gimmicky things that pop up through the years and thought this might be similar to the "Salt Rooms" (which were very gimmicky in my opinion) Nope, this is the real deal. I was so relaxed that I must have fallen asleep in the 1st 15 minutes because I slept through the 5 mins of music at the end and did not "become aware" until the filter started running and the water was moving. I am not a person who can relax like that so I'm impressed. I also feel GREAT! and they say the effects can last for days. There was a wonderful waiting room where I was able to relax before my float. I really enjoyed the introductory video. The float room was beautiful and the temperature in the room was perfect. Place stole my money!! How do floats that you pay for expire!! What a scam. I was told that during covid the expiration of the floats weren't going to apply. Now I call and all six of the floats I paid for are gone. They claimed they couldn't contact me but then right after the phone call I received an email from them stating I had canceled my membership which was the original email that was exchanged when I opted to cancel. So lie after lie. I own a business and would definitely never steal someone's money for a service they already paid for. That's a disgusting way to run a business! I posted this review on another site and they responded with a very piss poor or comparison. They said could I go in 2 and a 1/2 years later there's later to a gym if I canceled the membership. Well if I paid for personal training sessions why couldn't I couldn't I? If I pay for a tattoo and don't get it the same day why would that expire I would just would just schedule that for when I can. It's a service that I paid for and didn't receive.. It's not like with their membership you can float everyday.. You pay for a float a month and they accumulate. So why would I think that that they would just disappear. Especially especially during covid when I was told that that wasn't going to apply. Being a nurse and working through covid out of town a lot I never really had time to go in but I wasn't worried about losing them because they were accumulated floats that were already paid for. It's not like I booked the appointment and never showed up. They were just sitting on my account. It's still so amazing that they said they could contact me regarding my floats but they have emailed me and responded to my review in less than a 24 hour period since I called them about this issue. Went in with a 40% off groupon, 2nd time floating. I tried floating but couldn't fall asleep because the filter was making a noise. Inspected the filter a little further by opening it up to discover a huge clump of hair that was blocking the flow causing the noise. I had heard about this from a friend and thought it sounded very different. After seeing the special that was being offered on Groupon I decided to give it a try. I called to make an appointment and got a voicemail, about 15 minutes later I received a phone call back from a staff member. I reserve my timeslot to come in and float. They require a credit card number over the phone to reserve your spot and charge you a fee if you don't show up. I suppose requiring a credit card on file was a little bit disenchanting as I had already purchased the Groupon for my float. I arrived on time and was taken to a sitting room and was offered some tea. The tea that that girl at the front desk had given me was ice cold but I didn't say anything. After filling out some disclaimer release forms I was taken into another room and was given a pair of sandals. There was an area by the front door where I had to leave my shoes out by the reception area. The second waiting area was very clean and nice, they had a selection of infused water or tea to choose from and tables filled with several different log books to fill out your experience in... I was then taken in the back to my personal room with my float pod. There was a shower in my room with shampoo conditioner and body soap which is nice.. I don't want to go into detail about the floating experience as it is a very personal thing and might be different to other people. I will say it is definitely different and unlike anything that you have tried before. After my hour experience was up, I took another shower dried off with the towels provided and made my way outside. There is a general room with hairdryers in Q-tips for all to use. They suggest you sit and recover in the lounge before you leave, so I sat for about five minutes and I had to go in the back to get one of the girls to check me out in the front. Would rather a massage any day for relaxation and pain management. Won't be visiting again. Used a Groupon deal and they made it easy to redeem. Float tank was clean and the spa is comfortable. The float is very relaxing and they try to take care of each clients' needs. Great place to relax. I recommend them, especially for those new to the floating experience! read more
