I ended up taking it to LP vs my regular mechanics because they were near where the vehicle was, and on the recommendation of one of the trans shops I had talked to. Fun Fact: If you're replacing vs fixing, which seems to be most of what goes on nowadays, there's no reason to use a transmission specialty shop. Their rates are always higher than regular mechanics, and most regular shops can swap them fine... They just don't like actually tearing them apart and fixing them. So save yourself some money and just use your regular guy, or a shop like LP I ended up finding my own used transmission because getting a remanufactured one just didn't make sense money wise with the mileage on my rig. They were patient while I secured that and weren't trying to rush me. The guys there were cool and easy to deal with. They did the swap just fine and got my vehicle going again! They also took care of some other odds and ends I already knew about, and found out one issue I thought was one thing was actually 2 worn parts contributing to the same issue. Shop rates are reasonable compared to other places, and they did good work. I don't live near them, but would definitely take a rig back there if I ever needed to.

LP does great work. Super nice staff. Call and making an appointment because they are busy.read more

So, it's important to note that this review is post Mark. For those of you who may not know, Mark's…read moreautomotive was sold to Lake City auto a few months back. I have been a customer of Mark's automotive for over 20 years. He has handled all of my cars... BMW, Mercedes, and Volkswagen. Mark was always a superior resource that I could trust. My experience with the new owner has been less than ideal. Today we went in to get a new battery for my wife's Touareg. The bill came to $767. $200 of the bill had nothing to do with the battery replacement. There is a $50 fee that was not authorized for a comprehensive evaluation...... Which I might add we had done when we had the brakes done on this car a couple of months back so... Just a revenue event for them. The second fee was $160 to confirm what I told them... Battery is dead. Literally, analysis of the battery being dead which I already told them. So far I do not have a problem with the work being done, but the egregious excess fees are a non-starter. I will absolutely be looking for someone else to take care of my automobiles from here on out. All any business really has is trust and when that is gone nothing is left. Very sad for me as I had a great 20 year run with Mark. RIP Marks automotive.

Mark was tremendously helpful when my car had a sudden problem during a road trip a few days ago…read more Even though we brought the car in on extremely short notice toward the end of the day, he was able to diagnose the problem in detail within the hour! He was also very informative about what the issue was and what part would need to be replaced and why. Furthermore, he very helpfully told us that we could probably get the dealer to replace the part for free as part of a recall (and even dug up the recall information for us). Very fast, very informative, and honest. One of the most helpful mechanics I've worked with.

I cannot say enough about this auto shop!! They are amazing, courteous, HONEST, KIND, and caring!!!…read moreI broke down near another auto shop in CDA and thought I would give them a try to avoid a tow. My car overheated 100 feet from the other auto shop. They quoted me over $4700 to repair my car and said I had a blown head gasket. I then had my car towed to Auto Center CDA and it was just my radiator and they fixed it for$560. Matt and the staff are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I have been going to them for years and I am so glad I stuck with them. Please don't go anywhere else but Auto Center CDA!

Checked on the reviews and what I found confirmed my smart choice to not review on yelp. It's loaded with phonies. I am sure people came from Texas for an oil change - not. My experience with Autocenter CDA has not been good, it's been excellent! I have never had bad service, never had to take a vehicle back for an uncured problem, They don't return your vehicle without your problem repaired. They never overcharge, in fact they always give a little more and charge a little less. I have never been treated any way but good by anyone that works here. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recommend them to everyone and have never had ANYONE come back and say they were not satisfied with the service or the cost. Read the reviews carefully, don't just scan. that way you catch the scammers. .
