We did research by asking for referrals and also interviewing several pool companies before…read moredeciding on Mobley to build our pool. The reason we chose Mobley was because of his vast experience in building countless pools in the area along with the positive referrals from friends. Not only that but Gary mobley himself is caring and thorough when it comes to connecting with his customers. Before we even decided on his company, he spent probably an hour at our home looking at the space and answering the long list of questions. We had quite an extensive project but Mobley was great at communication throughout the entire time. He was quick to respond and helpful in any ways he could be. One time there was a guy who dumped sand in the middle of our driveway on a Friday at 5 pm and even though it wasn't Gary's responsibility, he called his guys and they rushed over to help! Also, his workers are great and many of them have been with Mobley for decades. They are sincere and hard workers. We are so happy with our pool and the kids have been enjoying it daily! We built it so it could also be a blessing to our family and friends and it's been a great way to gather community. It also has helped escape the Texas heat. We are very thankful for Mobley pools and all that they did in helping us build our family pool! Highly recommend!

These guys have 5 stars for a reason. They may not have "revolutionized" pool care- but they are…read morethe most efficient and effective team assembled in Austin. They do everything, and they do it well. They are transparent and extremely responsive. For your $, you could not get a better service. Thanks so much, Patriot.

I'm kind of baffled by all the positive reviews for this company. We have had consistent problems…read morewith Patriot since not long after we started using them in 2022. The weekly pool service is generally fine, but if anything goes even remotely wrong (which it will because they're scaling rapidly and training new folks), Patriot is nowhere to be found. In the time we've been using them, they've incorrectly cleaned our filter twice, stained our white pool tiles, and caused our skimmer to operate incorrectly. It has been pulling teeth to get them to return to fix it - many calls over many weeks, and at present, our skimmer and pool tile are still not resolved. In the case of the skimmer, our pool has an in-ground cleaning system and generally stays crystal clear throughout the spring months. Twice now, Patriot has come to clean the filter, and the skimmer has stopped operating immediately after. The first time, a tech returned a week or so later and told us their filter crew had forgotten to switch something to do with the skimmer back on (it was immediately fixed once he corrected it). This time, it stopped operating correctly immediately after the filter-cleaning again (same timing, same issue) and Patriot (after failing to return our calls, then sending people who weren't trained to investigate or resolve the issue three separate times) is telling us there's nothing wrong. This has been going on for well over a month at this point, and apparently we're going to need to pay someone else to come out and fix it. In the case of the pool tile (see pics below) Patriot acknowledged fault for the issue, and tried a number of tactics to resolve it, none of which worked. So it seems we're stuck with the stains. There are lots of pool companies in Austin. I'd recommend you go with a company that stands behind their work and fixes their mistakes.

THE POOL GUY - Texts with Luke the week of 5/11 in regards to my necessary pool pump part and the $70.00 backwash.

THE POOL GUY

We decided to have them also service our pool and equipment, which for the most part was acceptable. But we started becoming extremely unhappy by mid 2020. We were no longer being serviced by a qualified cleaner for our specific pool and the staff were always changing mid 2020 and 2021. We finally made the decision this month, May 2021, to cut ties due to lack of prompt service, six weeks to repair our pump, and the lack of training for the last nine months! Once our spa started to turn green and was green for 3 weeks we decided we had had enough! We had our last cleaning the week of May 11th., and yet the spa was still green. Luke, the only responsible person at the company, came out and treated the spa on that day after I had mentioned that it had been weeks since someone took care of it. Well, that week we were still having trouble after having it cleaned and I was informed by Luke that it just needed to be backwashed. Great! He was willing to do it, but they service manager was to charge us $70.00!! This after 10 months of insufficient service, a broken pump still going on 6 weeks and as a customer for 11 years!! I kindly declined his service to backwash and charge me as well. Also that week, I called to ask about the part that needed to be replaced and was told the week of the 11th., that it had been cancelled since I cancelled our cleaning service. So it was time for us to find a new company all together! If you are looking for a company to provide you with decent service, prompt repairs and experienced staff DON'T use Sean and his company!!! Go anywhere else but here!!! Also, one of their "tech's" came to our house today, May 28th and I was informed our entire pump needed to be replaced. I had our new service company come out and we need ONE part, and they will install it tomorrow since the stock the part!! I would NOT recommend The Pool Guy to anyone!! I would like to note that Luke apparently took the matter to Sean possibly, as he did call me back and offered to do it for free. Luke is very professional and has excellent skills in management and customer service!! Luke was always courteous, responsive, competent and helpful.

They did NOT do our pool install, but are an authorized company to warranty our type of pump. Our pump malfunctioned just before Christmas and we attempted to contact The Pool Guys to come take a look. We made multiple attempts to call the 'service guy' and each call would go to voicemail, with no return call. My husband then called the store, and was told that the service guys were in a different building so they couldn't help us. At some point we finally got a return call asking for our address (which they should have already had as it was left in the original messages) but no one ever came out to our house. At this point, we were VERY frustrated at the lack of customer service. Last Saturday, almost one week ago, we stopped in the store to speak with the owner. We were given a business card for the owner, Sean Hawthorne, so we gave him a call asking for help. Sean answered, he listened to my husband explain the situation, and then told us his service guys don't work on Saturday but he would look into it and call us back on Monday. He also said it could be that they were waiting on a part. But, no one ever came to our house to even put eyes on the pump, nor did they give us the courtesy of calling to let us know what the hold up might be. It's now Friday, and I haven't heard back from ANYONE. We'll likely never step foot in their store for our pool needs again and I'm truly shocked at the lack of customer service. Thankfully, we have other options for our warranty work!
