The music was that of something you'd get a massage to. My friend and I were getting a pedicure and manicure. The nail polish wall had all kinds of signs of up-charges for "better quality" polish. That was a sign of what's to come. The nail technician was sweet. She pointed out the different spa packages on the wall. $70 was the starting price. (For just a pedicure with callous remover, maybe some sea salt scrub. Not much you're getting added) I was kind of appalled by such a steep price. I then decided to go with just a pedicure. I cancelled my manicure. That's when I could feel the demeanor of my nail technician change. My pedicure took less than 20 minutes. She didn't really get off extra cuticles. The polish was put on really thin and I'm not too sure she even put a top coat on. She rubbed my feet for like 30 seconds each. No alarm set for time. Ran me $38 for a basic pedicure. $6 for polish removal. After tip, that was a $52 disappointing experience. My friend's dip nails turned out really pretty, but chipped after walking literally one block away.

No massage, nothing. Meanwhile another person did mine AFTER my mom's so my 97 yo mom had to wait while mine was done. I have to say she gave me a terrible manicure. Everything is uneven, polish doesn't even come down to the nail bed and I didn't notice until I left (because my glasses were in my bag) that my pinky nail was smudged and another nail had bubbles in it! But this woman also rushed off to do someone else, then in the middle of polishing the other woman's nails she came over to give me a massage without cleaning her hands in between. Matter of fact, I don't think anyone washed their hands in between clients! We were in and out in 10 minutes. It was supposed to be a nice day for my mom and me, but mom said later it was a bad experience for her. There are many better salons, but I had chose this one because of it's close proximity to the Atria. Never again.

I needed a relaxing pedicure and decided to finally stop in for a basic pedicure (no gel). I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon as a walk-in. It was busy however, they graciously took me immediately. I was advised to pick my color first. They have an entire wall for nail polish and the polishes are organizd by brand. I love that! It made it so easy to find what I was looking for and even be enticed by others. I walked over to the pedicure chair and waited for my tech. Within a few minutes she came over and greeted me and began the service. Prior to her coming over, she had been working by the sink cleaning implements, placing them into a bag, and then into a sterilizing machine. That is not an appropriate way to sanitize or sterilize equipment. They should be using hospital-grade disinfectants or an autoclave machine. But back to my pedicure. She began with the usual process of cutting down my nails and filing. They use disposable nail files and buffers, which I appreciate. At one point, she used a nipper to clean up my cuticles and surrounding area but she used an odd technique of clipping the corners of the big toe. I think that was her way of probably addressing some of the debris or tissue in the corner. As we went further into the pedicure, I noticed alot of poor technique which looked like plain laziness. For example, she buffed my nails with a quick swipe of each nail. It was almost like brushing dust off your hand with one swipe. You could clearly see that only a section of each nail had been buffed. But wait, the foot scrub was just as quick. She applied the scrub, rubbed twice and rinsed it off. Finally, she ended the service with a timed massage. It lacked proper technique and felt more like a foot rub. I cant help but think they give such a sub-par service only because it was basic. Had it been a spa pedicure, which costs more, I think they put a little more effort. If not, I would've been pissed if I paid for that. Once completed, I was led to the dryers where I sat for a few minutes. When I was ready to leave, my nail tech came over to collect payment. They accept cash, card, and applepay. My pedicure cost $36 which was similar to what I usually pay elsewhere. In regards to the facility, the decor was modern and spacious. All of the equipment appeared clean and up-to date. Overall, the outcome of my pedicure was good and it lasted a significant amount of time, but the overall service was rushed, in my opinion. I would not return unless it was the only option around.

She kept re-waxing more than 3x in the area. She would not stop after I told her that I was hurting. Now, it is raw to the touch, infected, inflamed, and it hurts too much to sleep. I have a banquet to attend in a few days and I can't wear a sleeveless dress because she ruined my underarms. DO NOT GO TO WENDY. I've never met a more stupid beauty technician.
