My appointment with Biz was amazing. I loved all the little details to relaxation. Best shampoo I…read morehave ever received. Was so relaxing almost fell asleep at the shampoo bowl. Which for curly hair girlies getting your hair washed usually means knots and tangles and fingers stuck in all your hair. There was none of this. And they give a nice little scalp massage. Then when you return to your seat they give you a neck and shoulder massage with essentials to fit your mood. All complimentary! Biz, herself, was easy to communicate my desired look with and she understood it to a "T" and delivered great results. I absolutely loved my transformation. Going from long hair to short hair can be scary and Biz made sure we were both on the same page for expectations. I also loved how she didn't push product or add ons. She gladly told me what products she used when I asked (because my hair looked the most fabulous it ever has, no frizz) but never gave me a sales pitch or pressure to buy or spend money I wasn't wanting to. In the end I got a fabulous new look and exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be returning to Biz at Industry for more hair needs.

So, I tried to highlight my own hair and it definitely did not go as planned. I came to see Sophia…read moreto see what we could do to fix my hair. As soon as she saw me all I felt was judgement even though I tried my best to keep the conversation lighthearted about my hair situation. She then took a test strand of my hair but rushed me out the door and wouldn't let me stay for the results. Even the front desk receptionist was confused when Sophia said she was sending me out and just going to text me. I was charged 30 dollars for the consult which I was fine with until Sophia wanted to charge me 400$ for full foils and refused to help me find a solution within my 250$ budget. (mind you I noted that I was okay with any solution as long as it fit in my budget and made my hair look better than it did). Definitely don't recommend.

Finally! I have a stylist in Cincinnati! It has been more than a decade since I've had a stylist…read morefor a multitude of reasons, and I'd honestly given up, but I FOUND HER! Aniya has a quaint little suite in the Nobel building just across from Mcklenburg Gardens, which is close to UC's central campus. Truth be told, I'd tried another stylist in the same building and was less than impressed for the same reasons I've never been able to find a stylist in the past: I was on time but she had another person in the chair and had to start 30 minutes late; I had to have my hair already washed and blow dried, all she did was corn-row me, and she charged me $100! She was nice enough, but nobody is going to consistently pay you to take advantage of them. Thankfully, there were other stylists in the building I could try out, and I'm glad I did! Aniya over in Suite 1 is serving up JUST the right services at just the right pace and prices. She's been READY for me when I show up, I've had an amazing shampoo experience on the bowl, she detangles like a pro (no pulling or snags!), and my cornrows stay in place for a month solid. Best of all, she only charged me $50! Now that's a stylist I can get and stay behind. I'm looking forward to trying her silk presses and other services. They're all reasonably priced, and she's a delight to work with: professional, kind, talented, and not trying to make you pay all her bills while having you do half the work. Go check her out!
