Jalapeño cheddar sourdough and chocolate au pain
    Amber R.

High quality baked goods, but pricey. The croissants and chocolate au pain were both cooked to perfection... crunchy and flaky exterior, and light and airy interior. Both buttery and chocolate to bread ratio was exactly as it should be. They do use a sweet glaze on their croissants. Not the best location but nice to have one closer to Topsail!

This review should be 5/5 stars. However, our experience was ruined by the cashier. She had a fair attitude with us but was so rude to a man who walked in and asked if they had a dining room. Clearly he was looking for one of the other locations. She responded to him in a very demeaning way. My friend and I felt bad for hours for not saying something to her. The cinnamon roll was tasty but I probably won't go out of my way to come here again. If I'm in Hampstead I might stop but not worth a special trip for that experience.

    Olive loaf

We bought a loaf of their "kalamata olive sourdough" at the Wilmington Coffee Fest this past weekend. The bread was very spongy with an open crumb, tons of olives and a shattering crust. We have so far used it for savory tartines (avocado toast!), croûtons for our homemade Ceasar Salade. We have a cool ritual it's to bring back home a piece of Bread from every little trip we make so we were convinced by yours and it makes us so happy because we cook a lot of different way so thanks again 5 stars for you. When I heard True Blue was opening up a butcher shop closer to where I live I was so excited! I am not disappointed. You can get the same cuts that you can get down at true blue down in the Ogden area and also some great bakery items. They offer a variety of bakery items such as blondies, cookies, rolls and my favorite sourdough bread! The also have a great selection of local beer and rubs the come from Asheville. If you are a steak lover like myself and love to cook them at home. I highly recommend coming in to this place and picking up some for dinner. You will not be disappointed and the great staff working there are so happy and helpful. They open at 10 am to stop on in!

Would be nice if the tough cinnamon rolls were priced reasonably to the condition. Really not worth their prices. No more.

We each had one shot each and the bartender decided it was a good idea to cut us off . We were extremely disappointed because we just had 1 shot each. We are both bartender, my friend and I, and completely understand if the bartender decides cut us off but we literally had 1 shot ! I got really upset cause we really thought we found a place to hang out . Especially since are walking distance from our home. Literally 5 min walk from my home. We we're just going to get two shots each and after just a drink. Cause that's what we normally do. We are not the type to get shit faced. We just wanted to hang ... get a little buzz and play pool . But I'm guess since we are in our mid twenties and everyone else is in there were 50+ and knew the bartenders... they we're getting special treatment. I should also add, we definitely felt like we were getting treated different from everyone else. I don't know it's because we were two young females and didn't fit the "scene " . But we were causing no trouble. We were playing pool for an hour and we decided to get another shot AFTER ONE HOUR!! and that's when the bartender told us the the OTHER BARTENDER told her to cut us off. I even asked why? And her answer was " I don't know " I even told her " I've only had one shot an HOUR AGO" and she just looked at me and said nothing ... It be one thing , if we were being obscene or disrespectful.but nope ...... and all the other folks hanging out at the end of the bar looked like they should of been cut of ! They were being loud and slurring their words. And one of the guys kept sexually harassing us . But we did t care and ignored him. Si if you're old, you're golden. But if you're young... don't come here

Overall, we were well taken care of, the service was fast, the patio was spacious and chill, and we will definitely be coming back for more!

You order with either the cashier or by going to their website via QR code. If you use the website, you can still pay by cash with the cashier afterwards, but you still have to put in your credit card number and process the order. We ordered the jumbo pretzel with beer cheese and Caprese margherita Pinsa. The pretzel was great, the dough tasted fresh and was soft. Beer cheese was warm and tasted great with the pretzel. The Pinsa was not doing it for me, tasted bland. However, I did like that it was crunchy. The Caprese margherita Pinsa had too much balsamic glaze for my taste. Overall, it was okay since I was hungry.

Stopped in the other night on our way through the state and so glad we did! A gentleman (whom I believe was the owner), recommended the hand tossed pizza as they make the dough from scratch. Soooo good! It's wood fired so it's gonna get a little char on the bottom which makes it even more delicious! The gentleman we spoke with was also very knowledgeable about the beer offerings and helped guide us. They have a great little play area out front so they're very family friendly. I wish they had a place like this where I live. Can't recommend enough!

I appreciated the thorough review from the first to review Yelper! So I'll get right to it. The parking had initially scared me until I arrived yesterday. There was a nice gentleman directing cars/trucks to spots or to overflow lots. Super helpful! The main bar is smack dab in the middle with Wilmywood on the one side and the stage and bottle shop on the other side. The building is like an old airplane hangar which is super cool. To get a beer or wine, be patient. It's a bustling bar and they'll get to you! I'm not a big beer drinker but I tried 2 on my friend's suggestion. We used the QR code to order from the food truck. We got the hand tossed because the kids would like it better. I wish I had brought some wipes or something because the napkins weren't enough to put your slice of pizza on and then wipe your hands or face. Good, flavorful pizza and they were quick!! Looking forward to going back!

I think it was the special because it was almost ready for the dumpster, She said she thought the sauce tasted odd. But later her stomach wasn't feeling well I ordered the steak sandwich, And specifically asked if the steak was chopped up, As I do not like fat or gristle in the bites of my steak sub. It was large chunks of steak that the fat had not been trimmed off of there were a lot of bites that I had to simply expel onto my plate. When Kimmy our server, asked, how was the meal? I told her and she could clearly see that I did not eat most of my steak sandwich and I had spit out a lot of it. When the overpriced Bill reached our table, A tall man with a big beard came to the table and asked how was the meal? I told you him about the steak sandwich. And he asked, If we were locals I said yes we were. And he said this, Well, maybe we can take care of it the next time you're in... HE SHOULD'VE TAKEN CARE OF IT THERE AND THEN Not sure what that's really means, Since now I will never be going back. And neither should you As you read the other reviews, it is CLEARLY an overpriced menu. With overpriced drinks Just like the Owner's other "bar and grill" in Sneads Ferry Spaggia (sp)? We went there a while back and found the same thing to be true. I think they're a "couple" from New York and wanna come down here to SouthEastern, North Carolina and charge New York prices Now, I reached out to the owner the next day and never received a call back. My advice. Don't waste your time OR your money

They don't regularly have food so confused why you'd bring small kids anyways. I like the atmosphere. It feels like a casual bar and for that alone it's worth going to. I can understand why this might attract some people to this place but it's completely excluding a whole group of people who might be able to go out without their kids. Not everyone has babysitters or would love to go out with their whole family as a unit. Also what if you're meeting a friend group that doesn't have kids and you can't come in because you have a child? Having young kids can feel difficult enough but taking away a space where they can be safe in an open green area while you can enjoy other adults and a nice beer is just hurtful. Also they often say come back in the afternoon but most parents with young kids know that's when they nap.
