food is good but when there is not a big crowd they turn off the grill to stop serving

Great sandwich spot connected to an ice cream shop. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. Family friendly. Take-out takes a while, I highly recommend ordering in advance and they will text you when it's ready. (You can call or order online) They have a little bar in the back if that's more your speed. read more

We had such a great meal. From the famous homemade tomato soup, pizza, Tex- mex burger, club sandwich, Ruben to the fried pickles. Every single bite was delicious. Everything was served with a smile. Such a great family environment! read more

Loved this place when it first opened. I would usually stop by on the way home from the beach or fishing and get lunch at the bar. The bartenders were always friendly and I would order a Bloody Mary with bacon and a sandwich. After a while I noticed that the prices of everything increased and the last time I went, which was in the beginning of the summer, I was told it was a 2 hour wait to be seated. I understand that the island is tourist heavy in the summer, but being a local I feel that we also help keep these places in business during the off season. It has just become an unaffordable deli lunch hyped for the tourists. Glad I got to enjoy this deli when they first opened. read more

We ate lunch here today . Everything we ordered was delicious. Service was spot on very nice. I ordered the Carolina Dog and love their homemade chili . read more

First off, the service here was awesome! Some of the nicest ladies I've met. They have decent seating, on the outside it looks small but they've got plenty of tables and a bar. We stopped in for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint!! We were sat, ordered, and served in about 15 minutes. The portion of meat on my sandwich was insane!! The bread was amazing quality as well, sooooo soft. I wish we had more time to try the cocktails and desserts, we will be back! read more

Got to Larry's at 12:40pm did not even see a waitress until 1:00pm. After 2pm still no food decided to pay for 1 Pepsi and 1 sweet tea. Was told by management that are food was being put on plates now. Told them I had waited long enough, do not want it. Was advised I had to pay or they would call the cops. To avoid a scene, paid and still had to wait 20 additional minutes before my food was given to me. Will never visit this place again. read more

Food was dog ass Service was good Water tasted like ass And the sodas had an after taste the same as the water did Wouldn't recommend if your looking for something overpriced to eat read more

Food was awful would not recommend. Only decent item we ordered for 5 people was the turkey sandwich

So close, but yet so far! One of only 2 restaurants open in Topsail that evening, we were really hoping to try the menu, unfortunately not only was the bar very understaffed, the ambiance was chaotic, similar to that of a train station and the staff didn't seem to step outside their lanes to help out. After 20 minutes of standing around with no hopes of getting a drink anytime soon, it was time to go. Cheers! read more

The food at Larry's was absolutely delicious. It may take a little while to receive your food, but I promise it's worth the wait!!!

Get.the.Reuben. Tender meat and perfect ratio to cheese, meat and kraut. The dressing is delicious and the staff take pride in what they serve. So sweet and kind. Fresh and delicious read more

If you sell brisket, sell the brisket.. When a customer comes in and tries to buy a pound of brisket for $36 and they can't sell it to you very disappointed... but you offered me a couple brisket sandwiches!!! so clearly you have the brisket... Normally, I order 2 to 5 pounds I couldn't even get a pound of brisket on a Saturday at 2 o'clock ... This has happens all the time so done.. Never prepared!! read more

We had a poor experience with service on the patio. Waited over an hour to be served, during this time no one came to check on drinks, provide updates or wipe down the table that we had initially requested. Our attempts to get assistance were met with indifference and pushback. Like we were supposed to know that they don't have pastrami, and they have an equipment bottleneck if you order a cheesesteak? Very disappointing evening in Topsail. read more

This place is great! I came here the other week and was so pleasently surprised by this restaurant. The moment my husband and I walked in we were greated, and very quickly seated. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered a BBQ sandwich, and my husband ordered the Carolina burger. The food was served surprisingly quickly considering how many people were seated. The atmosphere was a little chaotic but cheerful and mostly everyone seemed happy besides one grumpy table. This place has business cards and a few products from small local businesses at the counters and paintings from local artists available for purchase hung on the wall. I was very happy to see that they support other businesses like that. Our server was atentive and very sweet. Truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant. I hope to see more places like this one, because this was truly a wonderful experience! read more

Stopped in after riding horses on the beach and WOW. Had the best apple cider mimosa of my life. Followed by the most mouth watering chicken philli sub. I also grabbed some handmade tallow products they sold, love supporting small. Cute spot with a full bar and friendly service. Hands down 10/10!! The club sandwich was also delicious- did honey mustard instead of mayo and it slapped. CLEAN BATHROOM was the cherry on top. read more

Only rounded to a 2 because the chicken Philly was truly delicious. HOWEVER, it should not take 1 hr 20 minutes ( this is not an exaggeration) to get 3 chicken Phillies, 2 burgers, and tuna salad sandwich. We got there at 530, ordered everything by 545, and our food arrived at 710. No food moving into dining room for long stretches either. It was busy -but not crazy so. This place unfortunately is either woefully understaffed or terribly incompetent...and there were no "we are hiring" signs anywhere I could see to remedy this. Our kids made do playing outside while waiting, but we were all VERY hungry. The whole menu is bar food and sandwiches....and a much needed addition to South Topsail. So I really hope they figure things out. If you are going to the bar and can wait for as long as it takes to go eat in surf city and come back- go for it. But if you are with your family, especially young kids like myself, go elsewhere! At least until they (hopefully) get food out without such a wait. read more

Amazing. Pork bbq plate w/ sweet Carolina sauce, Mac & cheese was SO good. My son got a kids cheeseburger and it was incredible, I can only assume same way they do the full size menu item burger. Also I ordered a whisky on the rocks and they filled the glass 75% which is hard to find. Ice cream shop connected to the restaurant, you can combine bills (at least in the off season) everyone super accommodating, clean place. Peanut butter pie was 10/10 read more

Sorry, but a few things. First of all, the tables were full and you literally could not talk without screaming to the person next to you. We had a few issues with the waitress not hearing us and or us not hearing what she said and because, the bill between the couples was screwed up. Next up.. the food.. the Cuban was basically a pulled pork sandwich, not a Cuban and all you tasted was smoked pulled pork. The loaded tots came with aluminum foil you had to peel off of them, I'm assuming for easy tray clean up for them. The portions are small for what you pay. Most 12" personal pizzas are $18-$20. We got 4 sandwiches, loaded tater tots to share and a couple ice teas. Total? $88.. next door (same place actually) the ice cream is $6 a scoop and if you want a shake it's $14. Come on, we could have gone out to a real restaurant and got better food and not sandwiches for the same price. read more

Ordered the new meat lovers pizza, which was absolutely phenomenal. Perfect size for 2 people. The peanut butter pie is out of this world. Give Larry Q's a try. You will not be disappointed read more

Food OK, nothing special, ice tea is horrible, water is horrible, service is friendly but slow and it was a slow day. Rueben sandwich was good which upped the score to a two star. Pulled pork was bottom barrel. 50 Bucks for two underwhelming lunch plates. Better options all around. read more

My son and I came down after seeing that it was open on Facebook.. lol.. we love to support local and the menu looked amazing. We were not disappointed!! We pulled in and noticed there's a good amount of outside seating. We actually walked in the wrong door first.. we entered thru ice cream store and that looked amazing but the young lady directed us to walk along hall to the restaurant. Now the restaurant has a good bit of indoor seating ! And a full bar! There were customers sitting having lunch there.. the menu has so much to offer! You can build your own sandwich, build your own burger and hot dogs too. Or you can order sandwich selections. They have side salads and fries, sweet potato fries and tater tots as sides. Everything looked very good but today we both ordered burgers..they came out perfectly cooked and had great flavor.. juicy not greasy.. my tater tots crispy outside yummy inside! They bring small cup of ketchup too and more if needed. Our waitress was Kristin and she was very helpful and friendly. Very attentive and we enjoyed her conversations with us. We did not feel rushed or ignored in any way! The entire staff acknowledged us and were very nice.. I even thanked one of the cooks and he was gracious! We will absolutely come back and enjoy another item from The menu! I read more

I found this place on Instagram and I'm glad I did This is a cute restaurant, excellent service, and good food that tastes like home cooking. We ordered coffee, loaded tots, 2 half sandwich half soups. One tomato soup with a Philly cheese steak sandwich and a tomato soup with ham cheese lettuce tomato mayo olive oil vinegar salt and pepper toasted. Everything tasted like very fresh ingredients. The tomato soup, fresh nicely seasoned. The Philly cheese steak sandwich hit nice, also well seasoned and juicy but not juicy that makes the bread soggy, it was Perfect! The cheese was perfect, I added jalapenos to mine because I was feeling spicy today, and the cheese helped to mellow the spice. Tater tots were nice and crispy and loaded with cheese , and that cheese pull is everything.  Ginger ale, I have to really brag about this because my expectations for the ginger ale was out of a bottle of fountain. No, you're not getting Seagram's or Canada dry. They served a nice fresh ginger beer. This alone was a must try. I would highly recommend this place and I will be back again. read more

My husband and I had a great visit today! He ordered the pulled pork plate with baked beans and jalapeño poppers, and I ordered the turkado sandwich as a wrap with fried okra and remoulade sauce. We also ordered a side of French fries, which are fried in beef tallow and served with house made ranch dressing. The pork was done perfectly, so flavorful and juicy, and we were told it is made on-site. The jalapeño poppers were so creamy and the burn of the pepper hit on the back end as a flavorful but not overpowering. The beans were also a standout, so flavorful! My wrap was huge, and had a heaping helping of smoked turkey along with greens, avocado, bacon, and sauces. Our server was Jodi, and she was very attentive and so helpful, and gave us honest opinions and recommendations based on popular items. We will return for ribs which are available for dinner, and homemade cakes and ice cream as well. The atmosphere includes local artist paintings, and it's a very well lit and welcoming space inside and out. read more

real chef level food. Their pizzas may be the best we have ever had. The ingredients taste homemade and rich with flavor. Food and service were good. My biggest gripe would be the slight deception in the pricing. Please make it more clear that a kids meal is not actually a full meal. My son ordered the kids cheeseburger and was asked if he wanted fries with it. Our server made no mention that there was an extra charge for the fries. When the bill came, we were charged for a kids cheeseburger $8, a side of fries for $5 (which the portion size was worth about $1), and a soda for $3. Thus, making the grand total of the kids meal $16. More expensive than my adult meal! Menus need to be updated to note this. Or maybe simply include the fries with the kids meal! read more

Thank you so much for having a gluten-free bread option. I was so excited to try the Caprese sandwich and it was delicious. We finally got the chance to travel down to Larry's Deli-Que... the food was very good, the wait for the food and the pricing not so much.... First the food... the wait was ridiculous, over a hour before we finally received our food. Once the food arrived however, it was delicious! Possibly the best burger on the island and the fried pickles and cheese curds were great!! That delicious cheeseburger ended up costing $18.95!!!! It was $12.95 just for the burger (with NO fries included! ) then I added 3 condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo) which added $6 to my burger cost!!! $6 for condiments ‍ The prices at Larry's rivals pricing at Disney World... tread cautiously if you are on any kind of budget. For how good the food was, the prices and way they charge you, left a sour taste in my mouth. read more
