Waited over an hour to be served, during this time no one came to check on drinks, provide updates or wipe down the table that we had initially requested. Our attempts to get assistance were met with indifference and pushback. Like we were supposed to know that they don't have pastrami, and they have an equipment bottleneck if you order a cheesesteak? First off, the service here was awesome! Some of the nicest ladies I've met. They have decent seating, on the outside it looks small but they've got plenty of tables and a bar. We stopped in for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint!! We were sat, ordered, and served in about 15 minutes. The portion of meat on my sandwich was insane!! The bread was amazing quality as well, sooooo soft. I wish we had more time to try the cocktails and desserts, we will be back! read more

So close, but yet so far! One of only 2 restaurants open in Topsail that evening, we were really hoping to try the menu, unfortunately not only was the bar very understaffed, the ambiance was chaotic, similar to that of a train station and the staff didn't seem to step outside their lanes to help out. Stopped in after riding horses on the beach and WOW. Had the best apple cider mimosa of my life. Followed by the most mouth watering chicken philli sub. I also grabbed some handmade tallow products they sold, love supporting small. Cute spot with a full bar and friendly service. Hands down 10/10!! Only rounded to a 2 because the chicken Philly was truly delicious. HOWEVER, it should not take 1 hr 20 minutes ( this is not an exaggeration) to get 3 chicken Phillies, 2 burgers, and tuna salad sandwich. We got there at 530, ordered everything by 545, and our food arrived at 710. No food moving into dining room for long stretches either. It was busy -but not crazy so. This place unfortunately is either woefully understaffed or terribly incompetent...and there were no "we are hiring" signs anywhere I could see to remedy this. Our kids made do playing outside while waiting, but we were all VERY hungry. The whole menu is bar food and sandwiches....and a much needed addition to South Topsail. So I really hope they figure things out. If you are going to the bar and can wait for as long as it takes to go eat in surf city and come back- go for it. But if you are with your family, especially young kids like myself, go elsewhere! At least until they (hopefully) get food out without such a wait. read more

Sorry, but a few things. First of all, the tables were full and you literally could not talk without screaming to the person next to you. We had a few issues with the waitress not hearing us and or us not hearing what she said and because, the bill between the couples was screwed up. Next up.. the food.. the Cuban was basically a pulled pork sandwich, not a Cuban and all you tasted was smoked pulled pork. The loaded tots came with aluminum foil you had to peel off of them, I'm assuming for easy tray clean up for them. The portions are small for what you pay. Most 12" personal pizzas are $18-$20. We got 4 sandwiches, loaded tater tots to share and a couple ice teas. Total? $88.. next door (same place actually) the ice cream is $6 a scoop and if you want a shake it's $14. Come on, we could have gone out to a real restaurant and got better food and not sandwiches for the same price. read more

My son and I came down after seeing that it was open on Facebook.. lol.. we love to support local and the menu looked amazing. We were not disappointed!! We pulled in and noticed there's a good amount of outside seating. We actually walked in the wrong door first.. we entered thru ice cream store and that looked amazing but the young lady directed us to walk along hall to the restaurant. Now the restaurant has a good bit of indoor seating ! And a full bar! There were customers sitting having lunch there.. the menu has so much to offer! You can build your own sandwich, build your own burger and hot dogs too. Or you can order sandwich selections. They have side salads and fries, sweet potato fries and tater tots as sides. Everything looked very good but today we both ordered burgers..they came out perfectly cooked and had great flavor.. juicy not greasy.. my tater tots crispy outside yummy inside! They bring small cup of ketchup too and more if needed. Our waitress was Kristin and she was very helpful and friendly. Very attentive and we enjoyed her conversations with us. We did not feel rushed or ignored in any way! The entire staff acknowledged us and were very nice.. I even thanked one of the cooks and he was gracious! Amazing. Pork bbq plate w/ sweet Carolina sauce, Mac & cheese was SO good. My son got a kids cheeseburger and it was incredible, I can only assume same way they do the full size menu item burger. Also I ordered a whisky on the rocks and they filled the glass 75% which is hard to find. Food and service were good. My biggest gripe would be the slight deception in the pricing. Please make it more clear that a kids meal is not actually a full meal. My son ordered the kids cheeseburger and was asked if he wanted fries with it. Our server made no mention that there was an extra charge for the fries. When the bill came, we were charged for a kids cheeseburger $8, a side of fries for $5 (which the portion size was worth about $1), and a soda for $3. Thus, making the grand total of the kids meal $16. More expensive than my adult meal! Menus need to be updated to note this. Or maybe simply include the fries with the kids meal! read more

We finally got the chance to travel down to Larry's Deli-Que... the food was very good, the wait for the food and the pricing not so much.... First the food... the wait was ridiculous, over a hour before we finally received our food. Once the food arrived however, it was delicious! Possibly the best burger on the island and the fried pickles and cheese curds were great!! That delicious cheeseburger ended up costing $18.95!!!! It was $12.95 just for the burger (with NO fries included! ) then I added 3 condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo) which added $6 to my burger cost!!! $6 for condiments ‍ The prices at Larry's rivals pricing at Disney World... tread cautiously if you are on any kind of budget. For how good the food was, the prices and way they charge you, left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

We have been coming here a lot since it opened. The food is fresh and delicious. A good variety of foods and beverages to choose from. Your meal choices are prepared fresh while you wait. Fresh preparation takes a like longer and is always packed with flavor. There are TV's and a bar with yummy drinks to view and relax while your food is prepared. The desserts are plentiful the carrot cake is delicious and my favorite. The servers are the best around. Friendly and attentive. This has become our favorite restaurant. read more

Sad to have to post this, as we had such a good experience at Four Cousins Ice Cream attached to it on the trip. We ordered a pizza, a cheeseburger, and a pimento grilled cheese to go. The cheeseburger bun was smashed completely flat and so greasy that I ended up just eating the burger patty itself. My wife's grilled cheese had almost no pimento cheese at all, and she ended up throwing it away. Pizza was decent though. Super nice owner when I had met her - maybe just a bad night? read more

I found this place on Instagram and I'm glad I did This is a cute restaurant, excellent service, and good food that tastes like home cooking. We ordered coffee, loaded tots, 2 half sandwich half soups. One tomato soup with a Philly cheese steak sandwich and a tomato soup with ham cheese lettuce tomato mayo olive oil vinegar salt and pepper toasted. Everything tasted like very fresh ingredients. The tomato soup, fresh nicely seasoned. The Philly cheese steak sandwich hit nice, also well seasoned and juicy but not juicy that makes the bread soggy, it was Perfect! The cheese was perfect, I added jalapenos to mine because I was feeling spicy today, and the cheese helped to mellow the spice. Tater tots were nice and crispy and loaded with cheese , and that cheese pull is everything.  Ginger ale, I have to really brag about this because my expectations for the ginger ale was out of a bottle of fountain. No, you're not getting Seagram's or Canada dry. They served a nice fresh ginger beer. This alone was a must try. I would highly recommend this place and I will be back again. read more

I do not think I have ever waited this long to order food. Waited an hour and a half to get our food and the waitstaff didn't seem to care. I didn't know it took an hour and a half to make a turkey and cheese sandwich on sourdough. I do not normally waste my time writing reviews, but save yourself some time and go somewhere else. The good stuff: Cute restaurant, decent menu and food tasted as expected. Staff was friendly and happy. Now for the not so good stuff: Accoustics aren't great. People at the bar were very loud, which is fine! They were having a great time, but the sound travelled and it was hard to hear people at our own table. We ordered burgers (which were greasy) and a chicken salad wrap. The chicken salad wrap was $12 for the wrap and a side of fries or tater tots was $5. $17 felt a bit high for what we got. Took 40 mins to get our food with no explanation as to why the wait was so long. Not sure we'll be back. read more

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Larry's Deli Que may have the best hamburger on and around Topsail. The key is consistency and I've only been once, but if that burger remains as good as it was the first time ... omg. This place is really, really good. We are locals and have enjoyed many places but really looking forward to our next trip to Larry's. read more
