Stopped in for lunch today. I walked inside and asked to be seated outside.. beautiful day and nice breeze. I was the only one by on outdoor patio. My server was super nice, very attentive and helpful. I ordered a prickly pear beer and an all beef hot dog with tots.. you can choose 3 topping or add extras for a little more money. My hot dog was soo good! It was diameter of a quarter! I ended up taking it out of bun and eating it with fork.. lol.. I really enjoyed my lunch here. Can't wait to try more things from menu. I've ordered food from here when I've met friends at salty turtle next door like loaded tots or fried pickles and everything I've had was good. read more

I was visiting the Sneads Ferry, NC area and was looking for a nice local place for lunch. The wonderfully helpful front desk at my nearby hotel suggested Coastal Wing and Spirits so I walked to it. As usual, as asked I I could sit at the bar. The place is simply decorated, with many TVs and a variety of tables. I asked to see the menu, which features not only wings (in a variety of flavors and styles, but also burgers. I chose the simpler cheeseburger, which I asked to be served with tater tots. The burger was juicy, cooked at the right temperature, and the taters were hot and crispy. I also ordered a lager beer which was served icy cold. Overall, a great experience enhanced by a friendly bartender and the relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended. read more

We had never tried the one in Surf City but had wanted to, so we were happy this one opened since it's more convenient to us from North Topsail. We got there at opening and were the first customers of the day. Our server whose name I can't remember was super friendly and really fast. We got the southwest egg rolls as an app and they were fantastic as was the dipping sauce. And we had those within 5-10 minutes of being seated. They were hot and delicious. My boyfriend had the Philly cheese steak and said it was really good. I had the pulled pork bbq sandwich (eastern style) with a side of collards. I love bbq so I'm picky about it, and this was absolutely fantastic. I don't know if I ever even want to try something else from here because I just want another one of those sandwiches. The prices were very reasonable, especially for such great food and service. Cannot wait to go back. read more

Staying at the Hampton Inn and Coastal Wing and Spirits is in walking distance so we decided to give it a try for dinner. We arrived a little before 8pm and were given a late night menu. This menu did not include any sandwiches which kind of sucked You pretty much have a choice of apps, wings, and Mac n cheese, fish & chips. No handhelds or tacos. We started off with the loaded tots which were good. Nice and hot. For dinner, I had boneless wings and a salad. Both were fine. Nothing spectacular but good. My mom had the Nashville hot Mac n cheese which our waitress said was a great choice. It's ok. Nothing to write home about. My cousin had boneless wings and collards. The collards had the texture of spinach. I believe they are canned. They have a very sweet taste. Beverage wise, they have a good variety of cocktails. They average ~$12. I had a surf city sunset which was pretty good. Giving 4 stars based on the late night menu. Service was good. read more

Well we brought our service animal with us in a backpack but I didn't have her papers because we were at beach. My fault! so we went home and left her and came back. Girl at front counter was not nice at all. Acted ticked off at the world and we were trying to make a joke with her and she just ignored my husband completely and walked away without a word , no follow me , no acknowledgment at all. Just disappointed in her being the hostess, first contact with customers. Experience with her not good. Food and waiters awesome. read more

The best wings, the lavender tom Collin's is so good. I rarely finish liquor drinks and I chugged this down like water. It tasted like the feeling of doing yoga and meditating. Had a great experience here recently. The Bar tender Janea was really nice and helpful. Even after I spilled by beer she cleaned it up and promptly gave me another one. She consistently checked in on us and was generally a joy to talk too. We will be back for sure. read more

Visited the area and this pub/bar/restaurant was right by my hotel so visited there three times while I was in the area. The staff were kind, friendly, and very attentive and the prices for the drinks were very reasonably priced! It's not a large venue, but TVs all around (without sound on) with mostly sports on. Met some great local folks there every night who were kind and friendly. Highly recommend! I enjoyed martinis even though that's not the typical drink for the area. Just bought a beach house and we needed to find some hot spots and THIS IS IT! Never have I wanted to order more than one thing or something I usually wouldn't order. Such an open and welcoming atmosphere. Food was HOT and served a lot quicker than I was expecting. Our waitress was very helpful to show us what was the most popular and what she favored. Food is fine. Not great but edible. Because there was no place else available we decided to get take out the next time. Can't order online OR by phone so went. Nobody would take an order. I left and doubt I'd give them another chance. Too bad because the area clearly doesn't have enough restaurants. Maybe they opened this second location before they had enough staff to handle it.
