Love this place. Have been going to my man Marv exclusively for over a year - he's got great skills and is an all around awesome dude. The crew is always lively and upbeat which is exactly what I want in a barbershop. They always offer water/coffee/soda for all their guests which is a nice touch. Keep up the good work guys. read more

Angel was amazing! I brought my husband here today for the first time for a beard trim and a haircut. We walked in at 12:15pm on a Sunday, and got an appointment for 1 pm, which is amazing in and of itself ! My husband looks absolutely stunning! I could not stop staring at him! I watched Angel while he worked with my husband . He definitely didn't forget that I was there, too! But he was so awesome and personable. But as I watched, you could tell his dedication to the craft. His precision. I saw that look on his face and I knew Hubby was in good hands! The whole atmosphere here is awesome! Everyone is friends! Whether you're new or a regular, you are welcomed with open arms! For a haircut and beard trim was $35. A little expensive for our taste, but we decided to do it anyway. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! I had to drag hubby there by the ear. He left smiling! Angel, watch out for us because WE WILL BE BACK!! read more

AWESOME, AWESOME PLACE!!! I went there yesterday for a haircut and was extremely impressed (if you couldn't tell from my opening statement). This was my first experience at a barber shop and everything went very smooth. I walked in about 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment and sat in the chair 2 minutes later. The lady barber (Whitney) was very professional and had a calm demeanor. She finished the service with a hot towels neck shave, which was phenomenal. I will be making my next appointment soon. read more

My go to barber must have relocated so took my chances with what I thought was the second best option. Man was I wrong. CARLTON can't do a basic fade. This was my second time he cut my hair. The first time it was bad but I thought maybe second time can't get worse. Wrong answer. Dont go to CARLTON unless you want to look ridiculous at work. Embarrassing! read more

True Barbers is a great hair cut and a beer for $25. If you are looking for some man-pampering they give a great straight shave with hot towels and all. Big comfy couches to sit in as you wait, and a beer, water, or coke as you enter the door makes getting your hair cut a pleasant experience you might actually look forward to. Staff is professional and pleasant and always do a good job. read more

Just went there yesterday,. the manager who is power tripping ---asked me if i was on drugs, then talked shit to me, then got me a beer, cut my hair for free, and wondered why his bitch ass got no tip. run your lip--get no tip. duh ! I'm not the nicest person in the world but I know how to respect people, obviously as you can tell by this yelp post--all up in here. they got plenty of attitude fo sho! read more

I will tell you all why you would see maximum 5 stars for this Barber, it is because they promise you $5 discount for each review you give. I had a good experience last time but this time they did not take down my appointment, then when I went in at the time they apologized and made me wait for 45 mins and they forgot about me. When i noticed that another gentleman who came after me was called for hair cut, I approached the owner who usually takes down the appointment again started to apologize. But by then I was sitting and waiting for 1 hour. Barbers are good but truly speaking its not really best barbers. As I mentioned 5 stars are only because people get $5 discount. read more

My experience at True Barbers wasn't a good one. Careless and rude. Not to mention this place is WAY overpriced! $30 for a beard time and shave?! What a joke. This place won't last read more

Came from out of town which is scary enough when getting your haircut at a new place. Carlton was my barber and he was awesome. Will be getting another cut here again next month. read more

My regular barbershop was all booked, and i was in need of a little cleanup before heading back off to college after my fall break - so after looking at various barbershops in the area I decided to try true barber. walked in and there was a very nice atmosphere and i had good expectations going into my cut. The barber asked what I wanted and I said the usual clean up around the ears and neck, take just enough off the sides to make them not look poofy and take an inch off the top. throughout the whole cut, this barber barely said a word - asking for approval by merely grunting at me. to top it all off, at the end he took the cape off in the worst way possible dumping all of my freshly cut hair all over me. i just don't know how you mess up that badly. covered in hair, i walked over to the register and the cashier looked at me and she was like okay before you pay, wipe your eyes like this - very confused, i rubbed my eyelids the amount of hair that came off my eyelids due to this barbers lack of attention to detail was incredulous. i walked into this barbershop with 4-5 inches of hair and walked out with a SHORT military / business man side part and 30$ wasted. i will absolutely not be returning to this barbershop and for those of you looking for a fresh cut - just go to great clips - you'll get a better cut than this place. read more

This place is great. You can tell they have been cutting hair for years. They are true professionals! I always get a great hair cut.

My son and I just got haircuts from Daawan Baker and Carlton from true barbers. They were excellent, be sure to use them if you go!

I really enjoyed my haircut. Kenny did a fine job and made sure my haircut was the way I wanted it. I also got a shave, my first barber shop shave. Enjoyed my time and will definitely go back when the occasion arises. Very friendly folks, fast service, takes walk ins, very relaxing environment. read more

Got a haircut from Daawan. Best haircut I've had in my life, literally! I highly recommend. Definitely will be going here in the future.

I have been going to various Barbers for the past 8 years and this is one of the best shops I have been to. Walking in to the door they have a real receptionist who greeted me and was able to help me find a time to get my haircut. Call ahead and she'll find an appointment for you before you come. You truly get an entire experience at this shop with a shampoo and neck shave included with your hair cut. I sat down explained what I was looking for and my barber had suggestions on how to make the haircut I wanted to look the best and I was not disappointed in any way. Additionally from what other haircuts I saw while there all the barbers looked very talented and professional. I would highly recommend you give this place an opportunity to show you how they operate. read more

Love the atmosphere of this place. Very inviting with true customer service. A hair cut was about $25 but the quality was much better than your standard walk in places. FYI - weekends are busy so make an appointment. read more

First time, great experience! Marvin is good people! I will be back...I finally found my spot!

I just moved to the area and wanted a good but simple barber shop. My first visit was great, and I will be going back, and taking my some with me. Very laid back and friendly, but professional. Easy to walk in the first time and feel at home. read more

Super friendly staff. I never feel like they rush my hair cut. They take their time to make me look, and just as important, feel like a million bucks. I've never had a Barber Shop experience like it before. My new joint for sure read more

I went in to get a haircut cuz they had good reviews. But they mess my shit tf up. I asked for a fade but they just cut it all off I would show a picture but it's to fucked so I'm not going to. Would not recommend this place. They pressed my hairline back and the sides in so now it looks like I have a Mohawk which was not what I asked for. Way to over price for a haircut I could have gotten at great clips or something. read more

Daawan is awesome, great haircut every time. Cares about his work, excellent at shaving as well.

Dawaan just hooked me up with a fantastic haircut. I will keep going back because of him. The entire experience makes me feel like I'm at a classy barbershop from back in the day. read more

Walked in today, got me in the computer, beverage in hand and in a chair in less than 5 minutes. No wait at all, very nice chair for the wife to sit in while she waited for me. This was a fantastic experience and I did find what I was looking for - a new barber in a new town! Didn't think anything of it when I read about it, but the wash after the cut, the head massage and rinse, and the steamed towel on my neck showed me this was NOT my father's barber shop - but the straight razor neck shave showed me it WAS it's much bigger and better brother!!!! Very nice experience and I will be looking forward to becoming a member for the bi-weekly cut and savings! read more

Was unsure to try a new barber shop, but true barbers gained a new happy client. Place was clean and very professional. Greeted upon arrival, Patricia made sure I got the haircut I wanted. The hot towel treatment is a must. Will be back. read more

Unfortunately my second visit was awful. I called and the receptionist had to ask me 4 times to spell my name. Then when I arrived for my 1pm appointment I was told it would just be a few minutes but after I asked exactly how long that would be I was told that there was actually no one available to cut my hair for another half hour. The receptionist acted as if I should sit there and wait and it was perfectly acceptable for me to do so. read more

Hair cut by the black woman that works there, did not cut how I asked. Would not recommend her, but would recommend the barber shop. Just ask for someone else to cut. read more

I went by the reviews and thought this would be a good place. However, the manager needs to work on the skills of the front desk lady/receptionist. She is not the most friendly. I showed up and there were no appointments available and she seemed upset I was down to grab the last one of the day. I was on my way and she called 2 minutes after my appointment time to see if I wanted to keep my appointment (sorry for being a new customer and not being able to figure out where to park). I was 7 mins late--Jesus, I lived in NYC and they're not as ridiculous as this lady--gave me attitude when I showed up, rolled her eyes at me and exchanged a weird look with the barber. I would frankly be very mindful of how a terrible gatekeeper to this business can seriously hurt a potential great customer experience. I didn't even get to try the barbers. I WILL certainly be taking my business elsewhere. What a disappointment. The receptionist with the glasses and accent needs some serious training. read more

My husband went for a haircut and a shave today. Ended up having a terrible experience. He was explaining what he thought would look good and asked for the stylist input, all he did was continually shrug his shoulders and just started clipping away. The stylist was extremely careless with the clippers and needed up cutting a lot of the only part he did not want trimmed, also he didn't wet his hair or bother to wash out the product he already had in his hair. He also didn't apply any type of hot towel/shave cream before shaving his neck and face, not to mention the fact that he was careless and ended up shaving part of his beard down and didn't bother to make it even. He now was horrible red/bumpy cheeks just in time for Thanksgiving. He will not be returning. read more

Absolutely love True Barbers! I have been going to Daawan Baker for the past several months to get a haircut and have been happy with the way he cuts my hair. I highly recommend this place and especially Daawan. read more

I visited True Barbers today and had a mixed experience. I am starting a new job soon, so I want to make sure I look sharp for my first day. I walked in without an appointment, but they weren't busy so I was able to hop in a chair almost immediately. The barber that started my haircut was Patricia. Having my hair cut by her was not a pleasant experience. She didn't really understand what I was asking her to do and the haircut kept getting worse and worse as it continued. When it finally ended, I was in disbelief that my haircut looked so bad. I payed and left the barber feeling upset. On my drive home, I decided to call the front desk and let them know that I was not satisfied with the haircut I received. They were able to convince me to turn my car around to come back to the shop and get fixed up. I was hesitant, but they ensured me that they would fix it. I returned and I sat in Greg's chair to get fixed up. I talked about what I thought was wrong with the haircut and I told him the direction I would like to go. He listened to what I wanted and gave suggestions about how he could make the haircut look better. He did an amazing job saving my haircut and I left the shop feeling more confident that I looked presentable. Greg is a true professional and I am glad he was able to fix my hair. I am leaving 3 stars because they were able to fix their mistake, but it is a mistake that should not have happened. For those that have cared to read this far, DO NOT let Patricia cut your hair. read more

I have traveled a lot and have been to many barbers. I have given True Barber 5 stars due to the quality of their work, staff, and customer service. Online scheduling was very easy and the communication/verification was personal. I came in for a cut and shave, this is was my second barber shave. I told Tevorres (SP?) what I was looking to do and he offered some very good suggestions, which I accepted. I never felt rushed and appreciated the attentive and excellent service provided by Tevorres, and all the True Barber staff. I will definitely be back. read more

Should be fake Barbers. You walk through the doors and the pungent aroma of pretentious middle aged man assaults your nose. You look to your left and see an employee slouched so far into his chair I could hardly see his face, let alone his phone that he was urgently caressing. Your standing there in the threshold wondering exactly where or what you just walked into. Is it truly a Barber? Or is it a male salon thinly veiled as a Barbershop. After a brief wait in the quite worn but comfortable chair I was questioned by the messy secretary - "Do you have an appointment?" " No, I'm merely here for a beard trim" I meagerly responded. Apparently this is an appointment only "Barber Shop" (and i use that definition loosely in this case). I was handed a clipboard and a cheap pen and asked to fill out all my information. I placed it back on the counter, smiled, and proceed to return to my vehicle, and clamor for a breath of fresh air. My advice, is to keep on driving. This is an over-glorified salon where real men are not welcomed. Atmosphere is on par with a doctors office. read more
