Had one of the worst haircuts I've ever experienced. Don't remember the guys name just wanted to get out of there. I asked for a fade shaved on sides and long at the top. He gave no fade and my whole head was cut down to 1 inch length. For 40$ that's just unacceptable. read more

Warfleigh has been my 'go to' barbershop for two years now and for good reason. Simply put, I always leave knowing I received a great haircut. The barber who usually does my hair, Garrett, is thorough, easy to talk to, and is excellent at his craft. Prior to the pandemic I loved the 'water, coffee (black), or beer' offer customers got upon entering. Hopefully we get back to those days sooner rather than later. Since COVID hit, Warfleigh has adapted nicely with dividers in between chairs, masked barbers (and customers) at all times, and being able to schedule appointments (clutch!). Overall, the experience and the quality make Warfleigh easily worthy of five stars. The 30-45 minutes in this building are enjoyable ones. Great place. I was on the lookout for a good barber as my favorite back home is sometimes hard to schedule with...mostly due to my travel schedule. The shop has just got this cool friendly vibe and you can tell that these gentlemen enjoy their profession and are craftsmen. Casey cut my hair and he really took his time and put in a great effort with a result that I was very pleased with. I will never allow my fiancé to go anywhere else ever again. Tonight we visited Warfleigh and were lucky enough to have Nick. My fiancé had his cut butchered months ago and we had visited many men's salons trying to fix it or get it right. Finally, we decided to try a barber shop. It was definitely an experience to walk into like 20-30 men in the shop as a female, but after showing Nick the photos of the old cut, he and everyone else made me feel right at home. The atmosphere of this place is incredible. You can grab a beer, water, coffee, whatever. The guys are SO friendly. I was asked by multiple people at different times if I needed a beverage. The guys had me laughing while talking to their clients and each other about various topics. Such a fun group. Now to the cut, my goodness did he get it right! His cut looks exactly how we wanted it to and exactly how it was about 8 months ago before multiple people failed at it. Nicks attention to detail was impressive. Aside from my fiancé, I couldn't help but stare at all the men's cuts. They were all extremely impressive and magazine quality hair. This place is seriously where it's at. This is the absolute best barbershop I have ever been to! Cody has been cutting my hair for years now at a couple places and Warfleigh is my favorite by far. It is a locally owned shop, staffed by phoneminal people who do their best to give back to their community and are all incredible barbers. I cannot say enough about the character of the employees. There are times I'll just stop in to say hello and end up hanging out for an hour or more. They also offer a wide variety of fantastic grooming products from small companies around the country and are knowledgeable in their uses. Finally, they are a WALK IN ONLY shop, so please respect the fact that these men have families and schedules themselves, and may not always be able to stay late to accommodate you, regardless of how important you may think you are. There is a reason they want a credit deposit in order to make an appointment, Their motto is "We don't care." I was five minutes early, there were three people in the store and they had the door locked. They saw me standing in front of the store on a cold day, and refused to acknowledge me and open the door and let me in before 9am. Would it have been so much trouble or inconvenience to let me in? These are the coolest barbers ever. It's an all male shop so I recommend it for guys to go. The haircuts are $25 which is a good price for the quality of cut you get. They take their time and offer you drinks while you wait. The barbers are very conversational and easy going. Even though I don't live in broad ripple any more I still mask the trip to Warfleigh. It's conveniently placed on Broad Ripple Avenue, however you do have to pay for parking in the area. read more

Great place to "experience" a haircut and or a shave! these guys are awesome and its a fun time, they also offer water coffer or even a beer while you wait all free! There is usually really cool music you don't hear a lot going like blues and such which is a welcome change of pace. They all have the cuts and shaves down and beard trims. Theres usually a line so be prepared to wait it is worth it. They are opened Mon through Fri and CLOSED Sat and Sun which is odd for a barber shop but hey who wants to work weekends right? Sometimes it is a fun atmosphere here. But they also complain about being busy/how many people are coming in. Be advised that the last call is before 5:25pm. Justin was cutting hair at 5:25 when I came in and I was told I could go to one of the other guys that were not cutting hair at that time since he wouldn't be able to get another cut in. Maybe that was true but two employees were talking over each other explaining in earnest how Justin couldn't fit another appointment in. My cut has never taken over 15 minutes. I felt like Justin should have been able to speak for himself and I shouldn't have been pressured into going to someone else. So I left. I made accommodations to get there as quickly as I could after work. This place doesn't accommodate 9-5'ers unfortunately so I can't go back. read more

I'm one of these long haired guys who only cuts his hair every two years or so, and it's a crap shoot every time. I'm hoping Warfleigh is still around next time I need a trim. It's the kind of place where the receptionist, an older guy in sunglasses called Pop, answers the phone with a simple "Barber shop." The kind of place that only takes walk-ins. The kind of place where the most of the barbers are tatted up, and step out for a smoke between cuts. The kind of place that offers water, coffee, or Hamm's in a can, and a mom was enjoying her beer while she waited for her son. When I walked in, there were 6 barbers working on 6 guys and another 8 guys waiting. They were turning customers pretty quickly, but when it was my turn in the chair, I did not feel rushed. My barber, Jordan, took his time and did a good job. The cost was reasonable, more than the cheapest chains, but less than you'd spend at a salon or one of those "by appointment only" stylists. My husband wanted to stop in to get his beard touched up and head shaved. He had never visited anyone for his beard so it was a big choice! We saw that Warfleigh was opening up early before the Thanksgiving holiday and jumped on it. They don't take reservations! They have the coziest but manly spot. Simple barber shop with a nice earthy decor. The barbers and patrons of the shop were pleasant and easy to get a long with. Haircut styles seems limited. Everyone had either Dillinger based hairstyle or one of long top shaved sides under cut deal. My haircut was fine it was simple and quick. Although there are some price discrepancies. I was told by someone who has been a regular there for quite some time at he pays $20 a cut. Online it says $22. And at the locations it's $25. It's not a huge deal but consistency is nice. I've been exploring barbers in the Indy area for the past 6+ months now and have struggled to find a barber worth coming to a second time. Warfleigh is my new spot I think! I was a little worried about the walk in only policy as I have a pretty busy schedule but with 6 barbers working when I came in, I only waited about 15 minutes before I was called for my haircut. I'm sure that the wait can be excessive at times but they have refreshments (coffee, water, beer) to help pass the time and make it more enjoyable. My barber was very thorough with my haircut and beard trim. I told him how I usually get it cut and let him work his magic. He took his time and went back over the fade a couple times after he trimmed my beard to make sure everything was perfect. Great experience! read more

This place is incredible. It's something everyone looking for a shorter hair style should try. Warfleigh is the only place that I've gotten my hair cut in Indianapolis since starting college at Butler University in 2015. It's a first come first serve kinda place, so if you come in after most people get off work, expect a little bit of a wait. While you're there, browse the selection of boutique hair pomades, clays, and creams. They stock O'Douds Apothecary products mostly, with a rotating selection of other brands. Most, if not all of it is made in the USA, and is 100x better than anything you could pick up at a drugstore. Every haircut I've gotten here has been nothing short of amazing. The playlist is eclectic and expertly curated by all of the guys in the shop based on what they want to listen to. I've heard everything from Biggie Smalls to Miles Davis and then some. I would like to give this place a better review but I am pretty disappointed after my most recent cut here. I am going to describe my last cut I had here recently My first issue with Warfleigh is that they are walk-in only. As a result, I sat down and waited in their store for about an hour and fifteen minutes to get cut. I did not want to spend most of my free time that day in their barbershop; bummer, but honestly not a huge deal. They have a really cool space inside. I have had the same gentleman both times I have been here. He, and the rest of the barbers there, are friendly. I tell him what I want and to take about an inch off the top. By the end of the cut I can see he has taken two inches off and even more in some areas off the top. This kind of ticked me off because he made excuses like he either had to leave it real long or take more off (even though I have been to many other barbers who had never said this) but I blamed myself because he gave me a short cut last time when I asked for him to leave it longer. Talking to a friend later on, he said they were known for giving shorter cuts. I was nice and said it was good! I just wanted to get out of there. No big deal, hair grows back, got one of my errands out of the way. What made me really mad was when I got home, I look in the mirror and the guy COMPLETELY left one of my sideburns...the other one was cut. I am talking like over an inch difference. And I had been walking around like this. I can't speak for the rest of the barbers, but this guy should hardly be working at a shop where a cut is $25. I hope their business is successful, but I do not think I will be returning to this place. read more

Probably best haircut you can get for ~$20-$25 in Indianapolis area. Atmosphere is great and just a fun place to be. Don't worry about them rushing your haircut, they take their time and they do a very good job. Another thing is you don't face the mirror while they cut your hair. Not a big deal, but thought it was worth mentioning. The biggest problem is walk-in's only and they don't accept walk-in's an hour before close. So even though it says they close at 8, you should be there by at least 6:45pm if not a little earlier. Which doesn't make much sense to me. Also, expect at least a 25 minute wait and the haircut itself takes roughly 30-35 minutes. Great service. Great atmosphere. Very poor wait times and not open on weekends. read more

New barber shop opened in Broad Ripple. One chair, one barber, walk-ins only. Think of a classic barbershop, but a little more rough neck and swearing is encouraged. Dudes talking cafe racers and vintage race cars, giving each other shit and telling only politically correct jokes. A real fly daddy kind of place, the signature cut is the 'Dillinger' Cody gave me an awesome side-part with a neck shave. This cat can trim a bad-ass fade, not that hap-hazard shit you get from 'Value Cuts' in the strip mall. I'll give him a star and tell all my friends to find him. Price is obviously higher than the fore-mentioned strip mall joint, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. The only half-gripe I would have is the walk-in wait, but even that isn't bad because it's a bunch of cool dudes bullshitting. And if you don't want to wait, get your ass there when they open. Need pomade or any other grooming essentials for the modern gentleman? These guys have it. Lay-rite, Uppercut, etcetera. They open at 10:00am and I arrived at 10:10 third in line for a cut. No complaints from me, though, a good cut is worth the wait. Matthew was my barber (they have 4-5 total, all great good at their craft) Matthew did a great job. Exactly what I asked for. He was very intelligent and I truly enjoyed the conversation and professionalism. This is my new spot to get my haircut. Keep in mind, the only take walk-ins. I was 10 minutes late to my haircut due to an accident on the highway and tried to call to let the shop know, but my barber had already left for his lunch break.
