Had been going here for 5 years. I use to love my hair cuts, but after a couple of barbers left. I went back and did not have the same experience. I'm sorry I had to look for a different location. read more

This has been my barbershop for more than 5 years. I drive well out of my way to get my haircut. I like the reliability of barbers that I know are going to do a great job. The shop is clean, family friendly and always has a good vibe. They get busy so make an appointment or call ahead if you can. They take walk ins but some times you've gotta wait. read more

Give Aydin a try, he doesn't miss! Great guy, a real pro. He's really good with my 11 and 7 year old boys and everyone asks me where they get their hair cut after a fresh trim. read more

Had a cut with Ty today and am super happy with it. This is a quality shop. Will be back! Note: it's by appointment only. Plenty of parking. read more

I've gone back and forth about leaving this review. I hate to leave a bad one, but this gotta be the worst haircut I've gotten in years. After getting home I noticed so many missed hairs. I wanted a MID bald fade, but instead got a high and tight with uneven lines. I had to fix the missed hairs myself when I got home, which is something I never want to have to do fresh off a haircut. It took what seemed like forever. That's not usually a problem to me because I am in favor of taking your time if it means you will do a good job, but it took forever for a bad cut. Dude left cut hair all over me, didn't even try to clean any of it off. All other shops I've gone to will not only get that hair off of me, but they'll go out of their way to take the hair dryer and blow the hair off my shoes. This was just pure carelessness. I am not sure if Aydin was a new barber or what...but if so, that's something people should know before getting a haircut. I would have declined had I known that and gone elsewhere. What's unfortunate is that I have gotten one other cut there before. It was one of the better ones I have ever gotten. I don't remember that guy's name, but he was a pro. He was a sorta bigger guy, kinda remember him saying he was from south side maybe. (I could be wrong about that part.) He was great. This left a lot to be desired. Won't be going back. I truly am sorry to leave a bad review but I think it's important I let it be known. read more

After moving to the Northside, I needed to find a new place to get a haircut. I wanted a no-nonsense, reasonably priced barber shop, not some fufu salon that charges $35+ for a simple men's haircut. I spent some time reading reviews and stumbled upon Str8-Edge. Given all the positive reviews, I decided to give it a try and am happy I did. I have been going to AZ now for a couple months and have had good experiences each time. They have an online scheduling system through a website called booksy, the link to which can be found from their Facebook page. Unfortunately, they are not open on Sundays. So if you're busy during the week like myself, Saturdays will have to do. They have a big TV that is always playing sports, most likely a European soccer game. I am a soccer fan, and these barbers know there stuff when it comes to soccer. A haircut costs $25. The only downside is they don't have the capability to add a tip to a credit card, so I always try to bring a little cash for the tip. Overall, highly recommend this place! read more

I had a fantastic experience at Str8-Edge! They were so friendly and got me in last minute. I would highly recommend them and you cannot beat $30 for a skin fade. read more

Str8-Edge Barbershop - Men's Haircut - Barbers Near Me - Carmel, Indiana

Was in town visiting family. Caught a lucky break by going here...got a haircut and beard trim and everything was totally on point. I THINK my barber's name was T, and she was excellent. If I lived in the area, I would 100% go back and specifically request her. Also, every person that came in seemed to be a "regular" because everyone was enthusiastically greeting each other when they entered. I'm not much of a reviewer, but felt the need to do so here. If you don't already have a "go-to" barber that you're very satisfied with, you should check this place out. read more

Professional & skilled barbershop with a great atmosphere and vibe. The men here take pride in their profession and run a great shop. I highly recommend. read more

My husband and son went to the barbershop for the first time and said Str8-Edge is their place now. They enjoyed the staff who were fun and professional. My son enjoyed the razzing of his Sports Clip haircut and learned what a real haircut is all about:) He loved his cut. I really like I can schedule them online and add beard trimming for my husband. The website is super user-friendly. Overall this place is great and I highly recommend. read more

Love this place. Been going for a while, and always had a great cut. Actually had 3 different people cut my hair including the owner Said and they all did very well. read more

This is a good looking barbershop but when I get my haircut from somewhere that looks expensive I don't go in to get it cut by somebody that's in training or somebody that's not going to give me 100% of the barbershop. Especially when I pay $35 for a haircut and a beard trim and it looks like something that I can do myself. This place is clean friendly staff but every Barber their has to give a class A haircut. Not impressed. I don't give 5 stars for a failed first attempt. You got to make sure you shave the neck. read more

Worst haircut experience I have ever had. During my most recent haircut, the barber shaved my eyebrow off and then proceeded to charge me full price without a discount or help me. It seems barbers come and go there all the time, so you can never get the same barber who knows how to cut your hair and get the style you want. I've had 6 barbers in 6 different haircuts and all of them have screwed up. From putting product in my hair without asking, cutting too much hair off, and now shaving my eyebrow. Do not go here. read more

I had gone to Said for years when he was at True Barbers, and I lived on the north side of Indianapolis. I always loved the haircuts he gave me. However, I moved back downtown Indianapolis over a year ago and started going to a different barbershop, as it was closer for me. I was two days away from getting married, when an appointment I had made a month earlier for a haircut at a barbershop downtown Indianapolis fell through. I immediately called Said at his new shop and explained my situation. He remembered me from when I used to come to him when he was at True Barbers. He stayed after his closing hours that very same day me to give me a haircut. I was very grateful for his kindness in what was a stressful few days of planning before my wedding. Even if this experience had never happened, I would still have said that Said is an amazing barber. I have always found him to be incredibly detail-oriented and he consistently gives me the best haircuts. read more

I'm very happy with my new barber. After 33 years with my last barber. I've changed jobs and found this new one. I'd highly recommend Cyrin. Great job young man. read more

I was tired of the franchise butcher shops and noticed a pretty good fade on a guy I work with. It was on par with fades I used to get near my military base. I was not disappointed with the result. Az took his time and finished with a straight edge razor and hot towel. One of the best haircuts I've ever had. I will be a regular now for sure. read more

Great little store, excellent hair cuts. Online scheduling, affordable. Said does great job!

Best haircut in Indiana. Came and scheduled first appointment and I was definitely taken care of. Said Is the best. Love this shop and Said!

Said always gives clutch haircuts!! I've been coming to him for four years and he never disappoints! If you're even thinking about going anywhere else - DON'T! If you take the $10 special at Great Clips, you'll regret it! And if you're a barber looking for a place to set up shop, get in touch with Said. Great guy, great cuts!! read more

I happened to find them by accident. Took a chance and walked in without an appointment. Now I know why they have all these "5 Stars" ratings. Dieter is an amazing barber/artist. Don't let his young age fool you. He is a master in his craft. It is about time to see a group of professionals offering their crafts and talents with joy and respect for us the client. Cyrin took care of me. I was looking for a new place, so didn't go in with high hopes. Showed him a picture of how I wanted the cut. He asked a few questions.. got it pretty spot on. I'll definitely be going back to Said's. Plus they had a La Liga game on! Good spot. read more

In town visiting for a work training trip to Indy and needed a haircut since my trip is 2 weeks. Staying at the Residence Inn had been online searching for a local barber that could do a fade and not mess it up (have had bad experiences before when traveling). Found "true barbers" barbershop and read their reviews and a ton of people kept referring to "Said" the barber and how great he was and how they wouldn't go anywhere else. So I had to find this guy. Just by searching his first name and the city name, Carmel he came up. I was able to book an appointment right through his site via Booksy. Best $25 I spent on this business trip so far! He was right on time finishing up his last appointment. He called me over by name which was cool and shook my hand. I first showed him what I wanted for my haircut (prior photo) he said no problem (medium fade). Good conversation during the haircut and very personable. At the end of the haircut I was amazed! Said gave me a mirror to verify his work, and specifically asked "is there anything that I might have missed or that you want me to change". I've never had a barber ask me that before (even if the barber gives you a mirror for you to verify I thought this was a sign of his professionalism) and I thought that is truly awesome and is what will set him apart from all of his competition. Even though I'm visiting for a few weeks I would recommend locals and anyone visiting from afar (Indy/Carmel area) to see Said for your haircut. Thanks! read more

The best barbershop in Carmel hands down. Said has been at a few locations over the last 4 years. His clients have followed him all over town. Now has his own place. Easy to book appointments. The haircut speaks for itself...you won't be disappointed. read more

These gentlemen are constantly great! We've only ever tried 3 different barbers here but every single one did a great job. I like that they are punctual and professional. New barber in Carmel. Brought my kids in and it was a good experience. Welcoming environment, will return.

Said has been my barber for years and I'd follow him no matter where he relocated to (within reason of course). Aside from having a great personality, he is professional, highly skilled, dedicated, and takes pride in his work. I haven't been disappointed yet. I think he might be the only barber around Indy that knows anything about soccer, if that's your thing. I would recommend him to anyone. He uses a modern booking service, Booksy, (online and app accessible) which is a big plus. Prices are reasonable and competitive - you get what you pay for. read more
