That has nothing to do with me allegedly micromanaging her, she was quite assertive in what she thought I should do with my hair. She thought I should push my hair forward which is not how I wear it. She cut it. All I asked for was an even cut, simple level 3 clipping on sides and back blending up nicely. That's it. Nothing else was involved. Dani's response is not accurate at all and is more of a response for passing blame which is much easier.

Also, my wife convinced me to get a pedicure that I never had before. My hair stylist was Roya. She knew exactly what to do with my hair. I was very pleased with Roya and the entire experience. In fact, I already booked my next haircut with Roya. The pedicure was good also. Having your feet and legs massaged was a cool experience. I made an appointment a 6:00 PM appointment for yesterday, to see Alicia before she leaves on a trip. I went through the website, chose my time, selected my stylist, doubled checked everything, and hit confirm/send/whatever button finalizes the transaction. An email confirming this arrived soon after. I put it in my calendar. All done, right? Apparently not. After driving 30 min to get here I was informed I did not have an appointment. I explained exactly what I did and was then gobsmacked to hear that after I book an appointment online the email I got has a code in it that I then need to enter online in order to REALLY confirm the time slot. Then, after that's done you apparently get 2 more confirmations before your appointment. You'd think this is scheduling surgery or something. This has got to be the most inane, idiotic approach to scheduling I have ever seen. Everywhere else on the planet, when you hit CONFIRM, that's that. You're in. Why am I, the customer, who made an appointment, being asked to do so much work just to keep it? But what if I don't show up, you're asking? H&N has my CC on file, so if the policy is you get charged if you don't show up, and I've acknowledged that somewhere on their site or by simply booking the appt, then that's on ME. Luckily, Alicia was able to get me in after first agreeing the stay late, but then her last appt canceled so I got in sooner. But if I had driven all that way just to be told my appt I definitely booked wasn't going to happen for a WEEK... this review would've had a harsher tone. I'm not jumping through a series of hoops to keep an appt I made and if that's going to be the policy here in perpetuity then I'll spend my money elsewhere.

I don't have access to social media, so I ended up finding Brooke through Yelp and I am SO happy I did! I reached out to her by text and she responded almost immediately. Before my appointment, I sent her a photo of my current hair along with a few inspiration pictures of what I was hoping to achieve. Right from the beginning, communication was easy and I felt like she understood what I was looking for. The salon itself is adorable clean, welcoming, and has a really cute modern feel. When I met Brooke, she took the time to actually look at my hair and talk with me about my goals. One of the most important things to me is keeping my hair healthy because I'm trying to grow it long which has taken some time. She was very upfront that getting exactly where I ultimately want to be would be a process, and I REALLY appreciated that instead of trying to do too much in one appointment.
