What an awesome experience with Dennis. I am new to handguns and wanted to get private tutoring so that I felt comfortable walking through the process. He was deliberate and very patient in detailing gun safety (which is obviously number one on the priority list) and then we moved through handling the weapon, proper stance, etc. We did not even begin to fire until he was sure that I was completely comfortable with what we discussed. Terrific training session at True Aim Firearms. The location is wonderful. Its outdoors among beautiful hills, open space and clean air. I was the only person there and with a one on one session. More than exceeded my expectations!! I had read the yelp reviews prior to reaching out to Dennis for training and thus had already a degree of confidence that was going to receive a very professional and thorough training but in reality it was a much more fulfilling experience than I could have imagined. I met Dennis today for the basic handgun training, and I have to say I was very impressed with his course, and very glad that I spent the money. It was worth every penny. First let me start off by saying that I have had absolutely no experience with guns before the course today, and was a little apprehensive about going into a live firing range and hurting myself and or others. My friend and I had been talking about going to a shooting range, but I was a little intimidated with handling and shooting guns as I've had no knowledge or experience with them. By the end of the course, Dennis had alleviated both of my intimidation of the firearms and my apprehension of using them safely. I would highly recommend his course for anyone who hasn't had any experience, but is interested in trying them out. Dennis does an excellent and thorough job of explaining the importance and reverence of safety with firearms. I think he was very effective at impressing upon me that while guns are serious and lethal weapons, if used correctly and with the proper precautions, they can be used safely and effectively. I was very pleased that he touched upon many other subjects such as explaining the types of guns and ammunition, the mechanics of the guns, gun sights, proper aiming, and stance.
